    Hi Takero
This must be a somber place to visit, yet on the other hand its wonderful to see it's been brought back to life after WWII.

a very pleasing and quite city scene, and I can even see some Sakura trees on the right.
    nice shot indeed!
    cheers

    Hi John
oh man! are you kidding me,
    this place looks amazing!

Why have I not seen this pov before? Guess we most often see the classic pov's right? this is super, especially with the blue sky and white clouds, the lime green grass, the people,it really is quite something!

and hey....I thought you couldn't find weather like this in May in London! did you get lucky or is this normal weather?

    PS
Tosca and I will be booking a month long trip to Scotland and Ireland in 2016. I want to do a road trip, rent a car and drive around the 2 countries.
I have a couple questions for you...how long do you think we honestly need - keeping in mind we also want to spend 2 or 3 days in larger cities like Dublin and Edinburgh and Glasgow etc...also what time of year is best for weather. I don't want to spend a month with rain every day - I can do that in Vancouver :)

I know the climate is unpredictable in Ireland/Scotland, but there must be some point in the year where its USUALLY good weather conditions right?

    any tips would be helpful...thanks!

    Hi Malgo
there are SOOOO many places to visit in Italy, how do we have enough time to visit them all!???

For example, Lucca doesn't really stand out in my mind when I think about Italy, but look how beautiful, photogenic, and charming this place is!

you found yourself a wonderful city view, perhaps even a postcard type of view. looks great to me!
and another successful TE meeting :)

    Hi Chris
well that's an interesting note :)
funny how you didn't really even notice the kissing couple!

Copenhagen is way up on my travel list, I can't wait to get back there again.

its pretty amazing to me how the buildings here are so sharp despite the slow shutter speed...no tripod? because it looks like you used one!

lovely shot and ambiance all around

    Hi Lili
    welcome to TE :)

this is one of those photos where you could have easily left OUT the sky because its a bit hazy, and you still would be left with an attractive and pleasing scene.

the hillsides, the weaving road, and the homes with the colorful rooftops are A+
very sharp and well detailed too.

this is a fine photo indeed :)
love the colors contrasts in the lower half

wow, i don't know how and where you keep finding all these charming places in France!
You have a knack of located them all the time no matter where you travel.

that boat is fantastic, the chipping paint is the best, and the reflection is A+
    super exposure and tranquility
    love it

    Hi John
I think I'm begining to notice a theme in your posts, in your last one we noticed the beautiful ladies on the billboard on the bus...now this...so what's NEXT?

haha...just poking fun of course :)

Its fantastic how the sculpture just left of the boy is facing us but her gaze is to her left, and she looks so casual - its amazing how life like it is to me.

its somewhat hard to tell, but how tall are the sculptures, about the same height as the boy?

fun photo indeed, one that the boy would like to have a copy of i'm sure, in the future sometimes when he'd appreciate it more.

excellent light and tight framing, it all works well.

    PS
Yes, i've thought about purchasing that GPS device for my camera :) I'll give it some serious thought

    cheers

    Hi Carlo
oh this one is very nice :)
sometimes you can look at a photo and just think its picture perfect, and this is it.

its all about the simplicity, the hillsides, the trees, a road and an old home.

so much charm and beauty yet it so simple.

    Hi Ney
haha...even from the gallery page I had guessed that this was taken from an airport :)

and i was right, it just had that feel and look to it.

and yes, the flooring has a 1970's look to it right?
I've enjoyed reading your note, its nice to hear about some personal experiences here.

lots of architectural aspects going on here, shapes and odd patterns keep it interesting.

    PS
nice to know our Lofoten pictures are different :)
its more fun that way :)

so are these large boats Ferry's? taking tourists from Island to Island, i think so right?

its fun to see the different colors of blue from the ocean water to the lighter pale blue sky.

and the city has an orange hue and color cast to it, its kinda strange in an attractive way :)

nice shot from taken far away

    Hi Jean Claude
man, the age of these buildings in Europe is just outstanding - hard to believe sometimes.

this is what I would call a very elegant and classic composition.

b/c its shot directly forward, it makes me feel as if i'm right there with you on the street.
the warm light is very attractive too.

    Hi Jean
this one is far more classic than the previous lighthouse post.
even down to the 1/3 placement on the right.

I wonder how the lighthouse reflection would have looked if you waited till the water broke it up a bit -just for fun :)

excellent shot though, really like this one
