This is another nice shot from you Sasa. You most certainly have a graphic artist's eye for photos (reminds me of Ollie from when TE was brand new) and your b&w conversions are always really good. My only slight nitpick is that I find it a little tight on the left, but I really like the guy, his reflection and the mannequin as elements. Nice one.

This is a nice portrait, but not at your usual level Swiatek. The biggest problem I have is that it is too centered and the black/dark area behind her is adding nothing for me. I think that cropping tighter from the left, as well as from the top would be a good option.

This is really nice Luko. Hard to put a critique on it, as it is kind of difficult to break things down much. The colors are gorgeous and there is just enough sharpness/detail to let our minds fill in the story. Maybe I wish the highlights weren't quite so white, but it doesn't hurt the shot much at all and overall this is a really effective piece.

Hi again Sasa. First of all, in comparison to the last shot of yours which I commented on, this is a top notch conversion. I much prefer the more neutral tones and technically I think your exposure was perfect. I looked at the workshops too and have to say that of the three photos, I prefered this one and the worshop which was most similar. Here, I like the look on her face better, but I find that in comparison there is some space wasted on the right. On the workshop photo, I like how you have framed them just slightly differently and while I don't mind that she has seen you, I do prefer the look she is giving on this one. Both are very nice shots; just that although quite similar they both have their own advantages.

Hi Sasa. Another nice shot here, but I have to admit that while this has a whole lot going for it, there are also a number of things that kind of bother me too. Not something too usual for your photos. First of all, while you are one of the real masters of monotone, I can't say that this is your best conversion. It is not bad, but it is too brown and too close to sepia, which I am no fan of. As for the composition, I can understand why you didn't want to crop his bow, but I think it has left too much space on the right, while I find that the stuff on the left is cut off too abruptly. I would personally prefer a crop through the bow so as to see more on the left. I do really like the expression on his face, and your choice of shutter speed was perfect. Criticism aside, this is a good photo, just that you have set the bar pretty high for me to really love it.

Hi Dan. I assume this is one of the shots in question from the forum. I didn't read through much of what was written, so I might end up being a little redundant. For me, this shot is good, but not great and it is related to the sharpness, but maybe not in the way that others like or dislike it. I think it is sharp enough; stuff like this doesn't have to be razor sharp at all. However, what I don't care for is that the referee is too sharp in comparison and because of that, I keep looking at the ref and not the fighters. Were the ref not there, my impression would be completely different. I also would prefer if the guy on the right were not cut through the head with the rope, but probably that is hard to avoid. Indoor lighting is always difficult and I think the WB here is a little yellow for my tastes, but that isn't a major issue.

He certainly looks happy and I like how you have stopped the water. Your exposure is spot on as well. I do wish this wasn't quite so tightly cropped; I think more space around him would bring things to life a little more. Nice shot.

Hi Eric. Quite a nice shot here. Things are certainly nice and sharp and although there is a large blow out, I think you did as well as possible on the exposure. I wish he wasn't looking quite so straight at you, and I wish you had composed so there was less room above him and his school bag wasn't cropped, but this is still a good looking photo.

Hi Alex. A pretty effective shot here and some post processing which I think fits the look of the shot quite well. Personally, I would have dropped a very light colored layer over the image (most likely a warming filter in PS) to make the whites not quite pure white and I wouldn't mind seeing the blacks loosened up just a bit, but the heavy contrast does fit the composition quite well. I like how the handrail on the right leads us into the shot. Nice one.

This is a pretty cool series and it seems a fascinating ritual. I wish you could somehow submit a larger shot, as it would be great to see more detail. If you have a host elsewhere, maybe you could link to larger photos? Hard to really critique when I can see so little.

Hi Maciek. This shot is pretty good, although maybe not as adventurous as I expect from you. Two things do bother me. First, the color is bad. She is greenish. I don't know why, but it seems your colors have been off on many of your last uploads, yet I always remember you as someone who had great colors before. I wonder what has changed. Second, I don't like that bluish U at the top right. I wouldn't have minded had you composed so that it wasn't in the shot.

Congrats on your further work with NEED; you are keeping some very good company there.

Hi Sasa. I was wondering about you earlier today, it is really nice to see a post from you. this is very much a classic shot from you. Excellent tones/conversion and a kind of simple composition, yet one that almost noone would see. Quite honestly, I am not quite certain as to what I am seeing but that doesn't matter at all to me. Nice shot.

I like this quite a bit Peter. Focusing on the sign makes all the sense to me and I think you caught a pretty good moment, with them both signing. I also think that it is sharp enough for this type of photo. The only nit pick I would have is with the white balance. I don't really care if it is accurate, but it is just a little too orangy to my eyes. Nice shot Peter.

Excellent composition here Alex. A great combination of lots of lines and two subjects in just the right spot. Only one minor nitpick, and that there is something wrong with his face. I am not sure whether it is not quite sharp, or perhaps there is just too much of it blown out and it looks odd to me. Pretty minor on an overall very strong shot.

Another fun shot Luko. IT would be good pretty much no matter what, but having the little kid tucked into the corner really lifts it further. The only (very) minor thing for me is that the guy in the red keeps pulling my eye towards him and for some reason it bothers me that he is overlapped with the boat in the background. I don't know why this is so noticable for me.

Hi Alex. Great to see you posting again. I like a lot of this; I think the composition is bold and really works. However, it is just too contrasty, with too much pure white for my tastes. Finding a way to tone down the sky would be a big plus in my eyes. Good eye to catch this.

Very cool capture of the young boy and a very nice shot overall. I do wish though that there was a little less dead space behind him and I also wish the brighter/more colorful area at the top right weren't quite so noticable. Good quality stuff, as usual.
