    Hi Dale
reading John's note, he mentioned how you captured a classic composition....I take it that means this is a common type of scene to be taken here and many people have done so?

Its my first time seeing it.
love the look of the landscape in the bg as it fills out the frame, and the mountain caps it all off smartly.
but of course the Cottage is the KEY focal point.
    charming and picturesque all around

    Hi Benny
other than the typical postcard famous scenes in China, I really don't know much about this large country and its cities in terms of photos.

for example, I've never ever heard of this city before. I wonder how many others have as well.

Looking at the woman and the young girl, they actually have the appearance of people from Peru :)

love seeing the Temple on the right and the colourful buildings in the far bg. sweet shot

how could anyone not enjoy this photo?
looking at it now, I wish I was here walking on that beach.
funny how the beach looks to be grey or black sand, and the blues is a beautiful blue/grey.
love it, very attractive compo too

I have to admit, I don't like wine, I never have and I never will...but if I have to drink wine and sit in that chair to get this view....I'll do it :)

that is one heck of a view to grab a meal. its a wow for me.
I'm extremely impressed with this one. Before I go to Portugal, i'll ask you where this place is.

    Hi Gert
in response to my own response to your question about security guards, i guess you have been to America.

this is an old photo, but not quite as old as most of your old shots. classic NYC shot, we all try to get one like this when we're in the city, me too.

fun to see the ESB in the bg towering over the cityscape.
I like that you added in the rivets, that section gives the photo a more rustic mechanical feel.

Strange to see you only have 2 photos from the US.
    cheers

    Hello Engin,
This is a colorful and attractive photo with a very good and relaxed atmosphere. The boardwalk and the people on it are slightly dark. Some more processing could have made the details clearer, but it's anyhow a very nice picture.

    Hello Craig,
If I didn't know you would take it as an insult I would call this an attempt to create modern art. ;-) It's a very interesting building full of fascinating details and not entirely easy to understand. The WS #2 explains it more clearly, and then it gets easier seeing this one too. It's definitely a work of clever architecture of a kind I would like to see more often. Clever hand-held photos too. What are the guards so worried about?
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Gy÷rgy,
I think I would have recognized this as one of your photos even without the characteristic thick black frames. Your choice of motifs also (often) set you out against the crowd. You have a way of making the ugliest places look a bit attractive. The workers in their yellow vests inject life and interest into this view of a marvelously ugly building (surely from before 1989). Authoritarian architecture like this needs someone to disturb the perfect balance.
    Best wishes,
    Gert

    Hello Rob,
The graffiti is bright and eye-catching and good enough to be called art. The person, or two, at the bottom are too lost in the darkness to really complement the wall-painting, but the lampposts, signs and posters, and even the wires, do enough to put the painting in a wider context.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Dear Will,

I have learnt something new today, as well! Thank you for the detailed description, it was really informative. What I particularly like on the picture is the vivid colour of certain materials used on their boats and their clothes. The composition, mainly the placing of the two boats, is also excellent.
