Hello Serge - A wonderful Italian street with well-lit, attractive architecture The row of lamps make a good feature. I would like to see just a little space between the nearest lamp and the distant bell tower and wonder whether you could have managed to position it against the sky while retaining a gap between the tower and row of building on the RHS?

In any event, a charming scene.

Hi Krzysztof - The appeal here lies in the light and colour contrasts. Very good shadows and highlights bring out the form of the window nicely. A classic and very attractive composition.

Several years ago we visited Paje and at that time is was barely developed at all. This lovely shot reminds me of just how beautiful the area was Agnieszka. From what I can see here little has changed. A gorgeous palette of colours.

Hello Gert - I have just followed the link to this shot from Mariusz' recent upload. I was here in this very spot in September '14 and took a snap of my son and his partner on the same (possibly) bench! It's such fun to see this and to know that some places continue to have appeal. Little seems to have changed. A pleasure to see! A very good quality scan too considering the age.

Hello Mariusz - You comment on the light but it is loads better than the dull wet day in September when I visited with my son. There is a lovely warmth to the scene imparted by the sunlight and colours. The building in the FG with the orange brickwork looks like the place we enjoyed a cup of tea. A lovely PC view, next time I visit I hope it looks more like this!

Hello Manuel - having visited Italy for the first time last year I find that I 'connect' with photographs depicting the country better now than before. This is so typical and brings back a host of memories. Every corner one turns there is something to delight the eyes... this is such a scene.

The delicacy of the light and the simplicity of the colours make this a winning shot for me Silvio. I love the sky, it is softly coloured and well detailed forming a great back cloth to the church.

    Nicely done Silvio!

Hello Csaba - This is something special. I love the way your composition shows us different aspects of the location; on the LHS we see a slice of street scene, in the central panel we see the precipitous cliff that the town is built on and on the RHS we see an expansive view of the landscape. What a brilliant view point you found. A wonderfully clean and fascinating photograph! Attractive light too.

Mist hangs in the valley and is tinted with soft washes of colour echoing the colours in the sky and complimented by the FG brackens Les. The spectacle of nature, quiet, still and poetic.

Hello Sourav - Perfect timing and a good choice of shutter speed has frozen the moment so well; even the droplets of water kicked up by the oars are crisply sharp and well defined. I love the way the FG detail is captured against the hazy backcloth, this adds to the feeling of depth. Very attractively managed.

Hello Ourania - The yellow building features in many of your shots and here it makes a bright, well lit contrasting feature and focal point in an overwhelmingly stormy scene. Full of drama, the cloud hangs ominously low and is deserving of the large expanse of frame accorded to it.

Did you get home without being rained upon?

Hello Ann - The abandoned car and disused building have been given a new lease on life by becoming canvases for graffiti artists. The colourful daubs vie with the overcast sky and dull light but somehow seem even more sad and abandoned. A very good shot of a couple of old-timers trying to put a brave face on things!

Hello Piotr - The slightly warm colour palette appeals to me as it gives the landscape an inviting aspect despite the obvious winter weather. The red roofed buildings and the brightness of the sunlit steeple together with the FG fringe of trees add some good contrast to the scene.

A lovely shot taken from an elevated POV.

Hello Serge - It was only when I opened up the TN that I saw what this was about. Initially I had thought it was a series of beach groins and was fascinated to see that the groins are in fact sculptures. The scene has quite a sinister look to it! A most unusual post.
