    Hi Mariusz
It's the perspective and extensive depth lending the impact to this interior shot although i feel there's less detail in shadow area nevertheless is plesantly exposed. An impressive architectural design and elegant with excellent tonal contrast, sharpness and rich colours. The 'ghost' adds a certain something but would be just as good without, Well done.

    Hi Ike
Your are smart in composing this with two strong elements on top and bottom sandwiching the cityscape in between, the effect lends a great overall contrast and make the concrete jungle stand out and alive much more. You are blessed by such dramatic clouds, i think the darker the better. A fine shot and tfs

    Hi John
A picturesque town by the canal with the classic buildings drawing the eyes full of good contrasting colours in brilliant light. Great perspective which increases the depth seen from this angle and striking bed of flowers in the fg has liven this shot tremendously with a punchy finishing touch. Excellent shot, TFS.

    Hi Rosemary
Well seen from this angle and impressively taken with fantastic display of geometrical forms, lines and shapes, strengthened by wonderful play of shadow. This makes a colourful abstract touch and really love the striking silvery glow from side lighting and that red is so vital glueing as strong anchor point. A wonderful stuff creatively shot and your exposure control is second to none. Fabs, Congrats

    Hi Joelle
Although the day was not on your side when lighting looks almost flat but I think you did the utmost. Love the perspective and mood with dotted of figs giving nice scale. A wide view and a reminder of the events some seventy years ago when the D-Day landings took place. My only crit: cyan-blue tinge appears slightly overpowering on which i am sure can be corrected easily in pp to reflect the true colours of the day. Well done.

The cup of life, well, for some at least. The cup that fulfils, the cup that provides, the cup that completes. This is some fine piece of crockery, looks mid eastern, i knew the exact name for it, now my memory fails me. This kind of photo demands the lowest 'f' possible to get the lovely bokeh etc..

i like your presentation with the focus on the textures..

sip it hot my friend !

    Hey Klaudio..

Quite the impressionist stuff, the soft lines, you are treading the thin line between subjectivity and the absolute, the know and the unknown. the light is just surreal, the perfect 'f' for such a mood.

this could very well be a painting..

    Hi Janusz
I love how you saw this and composed it to make it work, the lovely detailed shadow works as good strong fg together with speck green sandals lead all the way into the scene. The framing is great with the layering of delicous colours of the prestine water is delightful to look, while the branches give a lovely touch of natural framing balanced by the headland on the left. Wonder what else could you ask for! A fabs picture so well rewarded, worth the effort. Congrats

    Hi Bev,

The impressive structure dating back 140 years is beautifully explained by your note. It's evocative of the equipment I saw in Belfast two weeks ago: shipbuilders Harland and Wolff, had built huge slipways and graving docks to accommodate the simultaneous construction of Olympic and Titanic.

    Hello Gert,

Forty-one years and counting. In this impoverished land, people eked out a living. But then the imperial powers moved in, made the Taliban possible. The magnificent colossal statues in Bamyan were destroyed after standing sentinel for 1500 years. Maybe this young man foresees the devastation of his country, and the insanity to visit it.

I find the scan exceptionally good. The subdued colors, the textures of the cart and wheels are entirely realistic in appearance.

    Hello Klaudio,

A fascinating note and an interesting survey. I'm surprised that Seattle, Washington, whence Starbucks, Pete's and Caribou coffee all sprung, would have been among the leaders, and New York would not have been far behind.

The photo demonstrates excellent quality. I have not been able to read the name of Golf Club in the spoon, but the definition nonetheless is first rate.

    Warm regards,
