    Hello Ray,

I am embarrassed to admit I had not heard of Manti-La Sal National Forest. It's beautiful with the cliffs and river, and the colors of the sky. I am grateful to learn about site in Utah.

    Bonjour Jean,

Now this is a refreshing view in the heat of summer. I like the footprints in the snow, meandering, and heading down the hill. Very good light management, considering the pristine white of the snow and the dark pines in the background.

    Warm regards,

    Hello John,

A fascinating note informs a first rate photo. It is the impressive depth of field that is also noteworthy, with the droplets of water in the crashing waves as sharp as the nearby Bass Rock. I tried to guess the season you shot this photo, but could not tell that it was in the freezing days of winter.

    Kind regards

    Hello Malgorzata,

The veil of smoke puts a veil of mystery in the photo. I can smell the aroma of the food... although I prefer the corn on the cob, then the pickles, and finally the eggs here. The white doughy food lightly covered with mesh... what is it? Very interesting note,

    Bonjour Nicolas,

As the young Vikings row their boat, existence of large tires reminds me of the shields that the old Vikings used to line their longboats. Reflections of the colorful boat in the water is very effective.

    Merhaba Murat Bey,

We tend to take sites in our backyard for granted. I still haven't had a chance to tour the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. But having seen your photos, I resolve herewith to make a trip up there with friends. I didn't know about this passage representing the gates to the monument. They appear to be resonate tastefully, symbolically...

    Bonsoir Besnard,

In Brittany you get exceedingly high and low tides, and such scene are quite expected. But for those who have never visited the area boats sitting on the silt are so rare. This is a beautiful photo of the fort, and the walls in Saint-Malo.

    Hello Daniel,

The memorable cobblestones of Portugal. I would have recognized the country, but not the city, since Lisbon abounds with similar piazzas. A vertical shot works very well here, accentuating the ground, and of course the church to which it lead. The clear crisp sunlight of Portugal allows such vivid colors and depth of field.

    Hello Andre,

I have seen photos of Galerias Pacifico in Buenos Aires before, and it is a pleasure to see them again from a different angle. The gorgeous ceiling frescoes are enhanced here by the inclusion of the fountain full of flowers. Late next December and early January I hope to be in Brazil, and I am hoping to journey down to Iguazu Falls and possibly Buenos Aires in Argentina. Accordingly, I will peruse your photos in the next few weeks and months.

This wonderful photo shot six weeks ago had eluded me. The Lower East Side is one of those common sites one refers to with little specificity, yet it is a living museum. Your fabulous note certainly gives it life. Enjoy the good weather on this Sunday, as I assume it is in New York.

    Hello Ray,

A very impressive expansive shot. In an archaeology dig, a grid is defined (6 meters by 6 meters) then sandbags are delineated on the N and E sides to define land bridges. After that, the workers excavate squares, leaving those land bridges for people the walk on. The area reminds me of excavations at an archaeological excavation, but the land bridges for trucks are much wider, and the pits much deeper.

    Warm regards,

    Hello Nick,

Clearly, Canaletto was resurrected to create this painting. Presumably you stood on the Galleria D'Academia Bridge to get this vantage point. The lighting is magnificent, resulting in vivid colors, textures and resolution. In my many visits I have never seen such ideal conditions.
