    Hi Swapan
these fishing photos are always a success :)

an opportunity that you totally took advantage of, and why not! I would too.

i like that we get to see the arms in the air too, not only the nets.

    fun photo, well chosen subject

    Hi Kasia
i remember saying to you that i'd wish we'd see more of the people in this village...

    here we go :)

wonderful post, a very sentimental post.

I like Gert's chosen words of how these people look very honest and natural, the photo certainly shows that.

    wonderful WS's too!
    thanks for this kind post

    Hi Stephen
some harsh light in the sky there, looks pretty strong!
no clouds around to buffer it, but what can you do?

fine composition with the cathedral smartly placed at the 1/3 location, and the overall scene has a very friendly vibe/feel to it.

excellent light along the mid and bottom portions though.
    thanks for this one

    Hi Maria
    great photo!
and its sad to say, but we didn't get to visit here on our recent journey to Greece :(
perhaps or most certainly next time.

obviously the blue colors are the main attraction, its easy to see why you'd want to show mostly blues and not the shipwreck.

love this shot! makes me want to re-visit

with 126 rooms you'd think they could easily save 1 room for me? haha

i would love to have seen photos taken from the inside as well, looks quite elegant and sophisticated.

love the way the staircase seems to be flowing like a soft liquid :)

    Hi Ike,
fantastic POV :) What a great idea :)
Although I get a lot of good words for having the modern buildings in my photo, I like it much more without them as here it is more open space and the interesting buildings are better visible and even provide reflection. I would build that modern architecture in a different spot and not hiding the main attraction from the main walking area.
Great quality, all my photos from pre-digital times look quite bad scanned. And negatives got quite damaged.
    Very well done,
    M

    Hi Brenda
how's the summer heat in NYC these days? muggy? and wind to cool it down? I hear NY can be kinda hot in August/Sept!

i like that they added 'life' by placing many trees around the area too, i think that was a smart idea.
for some reason it would look colder without those trees, don't you think?

and yes its unfortuneate, but when you're dealing with such a loss as this, there will be controversy.

I've really enjoyed these shots, because as you know we were here when this site was JUST being completed. so we didn't get the chance to see it.

a site to see for sure next time, including the Museum.

    hope all is well!

    Hi Dorian
i think this is my first time visiting your gallery.

nice to have you on TE, hopefully you'll become a full time member??

having been a full timer here for over 5 years, I can honestly say I don't recall seeing any Cleveland skylines before!!!

so for sure this is a welcome sight.
love the bridge up in the sky, and the blue lights on the other bridge.
i'm a big fan of city skylines, so naturally i'm drawn to this one.

well taken shot in the darkness.

    Hi Gert
yes, why or how does it happen so often that if you just simply wait...somebody WILL come along wearing the same colors as the subject behind them...

its uncanny how often it happens!

another example of that are mannequins in a store...if you just park yourself across the street...just wait...somebody will stand beside or infront of the mannequin store window in the exact same pose lol

its a simple little thing, but that large arch - i can't think of many buildings in Vancouver that have such an arch. yet in old town Warsaw these are common.

    fun photo as always.
surprised you didn't mention the 3 heads/faces on the bench!

    cheers

    Hi Mariusz
    long time no see again.
good to have you back with a new photo.

is it just me or does it seem to be that Liverpool has made some sort of comeback or some sort of revival of late.

lots of interesting photos on TE from here recently.

i think there's a good combinatoin of old and new buildings in this one scene.
sharp, clear, well it and well exposed.

looks like you took this photo at 2:20 :)

    Hi Trevor
really enjoy the frame you chose, the frame adds impact aswell.

we've seen a number of these dry dock/low tide photos on TE lately...i wonder why? just coincedence i suppose.

this is a fine horizontally layered photo, 3 distinct sections fill the frame smartly. very little dead/negative space.

lots of atmosphere too, well taken scene.

    Hi Chris
love this mermaid, i remember her well and i have several photo of her too.

really enjoy the various colors of the building in the bg, and i have to say...i'd be eager to step inside those buildings to see how they look. and are they personal homes? are they businesses? are they 1 story appartments or 2/3 story appartments...how do those tenement homes work?

sweet shot, nicely placed in the 1/3 area.

    Hi Angshu
interesting that some people thought the sky was artificial! that never even came to mind for me.

infact, i'd LOVE to have these clouds in every sky and photo i take...you totally lucked out!

personally i think the sky/clouds here make up a huge portion of the compo/subject material, its vital.

a perfect day to shoot a photo upwards.
glad you did, lots of colors, bright warm light despite the cooling presence of lots of blues, and it has a wonderful visual effect/impact too.

great looking photo on all accounts.
