    Hi Brenda
so are you saying this was the ACTUAL movie set prop? they used this location for shooting scenes in the Superman movie?
whether it is or not, its pretty darn cool each way.
there are so many places in nyc that i still havn't seen, i'll have to add this one to that list. and i love love love globes! Infact i just purchased another one online a week ago and i'm waiting for it to arrive, it glows different colours haha.

    awesome subject, looks great.
PS - I'm leaving for Portugal tomorrow for 2 weeks :)

    Hi Bev
i've been really enjoying your recent series of Beverley Minster, the WS photo you posted here is worthy of a main post as well, but i know we can't post them all and we want to move onto other subjects too :)

actually, you yourself described the scene best in your note, it shows the Minster in a more "poetic" stance, not so much concerning yourself with the details. thats perfect!

PS - I'm leaving for Portugal tomorrow for 2 weeks. My first solo trip! :)

    Hi Claude
well, as a person who cannot swim and is afraid of the water, this would most certainly NOT be on my to-do-list :)

but i commend the people who have done it, looks pretty damn scary to me! fun photo, something very different indeed.

    Hi Rob
yes, this is one that i would want to see, it sounds quite interesting. Obviously because its a moving subject, it's hard to convey that in a still photo like this. I bet in person its very cool to see it in action.

the expression on its face is quite angry and sets the tone here. very cool idea.

    PS
good to hear you changed your dates for Vancouver. I should be around to meet you guys. cheers

    Hi Malgo
oooohhh...ahhhh....this is exactly what I like!
easy to see why you'd want to explore this Castle, it looks fantastic. those 4 large turrets in the front are amazing. and are those modern appartments in the bg on the left? if so, thats pretty funny looking :) Imagine the original builders of the Castle seeing it today in this environment haha. love the shadow and light combinations too. sweet shot. Hi Will
always great to see such different photos from Budapest, and this is certainly one of them. its very cool how this building in the reflection has two distinct colour tones because of the glass :) and there's also a bit of a warped shape to it as well. neat shot, excellent eye to notice it and capture it in this way. cheers

Looking at your Havana photos, its making me miss this city very much. I had such a great time wandering the streets here. As I believe you have as well.

love the dark and mysterious atmosphere, also because we know its actually quite safe, but the photo conveys a different message. and i appreciate the MAP view too :) fine execution of this night shot.

its always hard to photograph a bride from such far away distances, but I still enjoy this one very much.

    Hi Gy
yes, this was the correct photo to chose as the main post.
I wonder why Vancouver doesn't have an "eye" like so many other cities around the world! We need to get on that :)

its nice to have the trees surrounding the scene too, I think that adds alot, especially because its a city scene. Good to see large trees like this in the city center. I take it you've been on this wheel before? always fun to see new and different views of your city. PS - I'm leaving for Portugal tomorrow for 2 weeks :)

oh man, this is fantastic! This is a beautiful building for sure, well worthy of a post on TE.

It would be interesting to learn about this buildings true history, perhaps the company just went out of business.

well, what can I say about this one? its pretty darn sweet I have to say. you couldn't have asked for better lighting. the way the scene flows across the frame is beautiful, and of course the pink oranges reflecting onto the wet sand is A+.

yes, why not post one or two more of Edinburgh right? nothing wrong with that. I really enjoy the dull colours of Edinburgh haha, all that stone grey in the buildings certainly has an atmosphere and mood. and funny to see all the little chimneys too. another interesting skyline shot of the city.

    Hi Chris
are you able to take photos on the inside? I see people walking in, and i also imagine it to be quite dark.
I wonder what it looks like in there, its a complete mystery to me. Why would they make the doorway so tall? I've read they did that because alien life forms helped them create these temples, and they were taller than humans...thats why!
    haha...you never know man!

I like the photo with the sky because it shows the subject in its true form with the natural stone walls, but its also great if you scroll down the page to eliminate the sky.
    awesome subject. cheers
    Craig

    PS
Were all of these temples you visited done/arranged by tour groups? or is it possible to go on your own? just curious.

now those are some pretty thick looking walls! Must have been very hard to conquer those if you're the attacking enemy.
I wonder how many men lost their lives at this wall, must be alot of interesting history here.
