    Hi Lisa
what's going on, suddenly I can't keep up with all your newly posted photo! haha

this is what Tosca likes most, and its easy to see why.
when you can find a small water fall that cascades down like this you have to take advantage of it.
Its like finding a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow!
    Or is that Gold lol

Overexposed or not, its going to happen with these long exposure waterfall shots, there's nothing we can really do about it. The key is the cascading parts, lucky for you to find this gem!

Tosca will love it when I show her
    Cheers

    Hi Aleksander
this shot works well because of the height it was taken from, the pov makes a large impact.

and one of my favorite parts of the photo is the tall smoke stack in the far bg too :)

excellent light inside the barge ship on the right.

    Hi Bev
easy to see why you'd want to capture this shot, I would also.

and as for your note, I'd prefer to see Crop Circles! haha...yes, it's a little known secret that I AM a believer :)

the long lines really do add a lot, infact they almost work as the main focal point, our eyes are immediately drawn to the tractor lines.

you certainly live in and around a beautiful area!

    Hi Karolina
This is my first time visiting your gallery, and I have to say I really enjoy your photography.
This is an excellent view of Lisbons old town, we dont see these views often enough on TE.
Very good details come through in the stonework and the old lady is seen working hard at just simply walking the steps. I guess we all will eventually become this woman or man.

Lovely light and composition, looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Its almost impossible to visit nyc without capturing this photo, almost everybody does it, and its easy to understand why.
You have your version with a brightly colored blue sky to make it stand out well, i like that.
Also nice to see the city in the bg.
    Thanks for this one.

    Hi Wolfgang
Such an odd piece you'd see at a construction site, it doesnt seem to fit with the theme.
As for the cover itself, you couldnt have picked a more colorful and eye catching piece.
Looking at the new posted photo page, your shot stands out among the others.

    Hi Bulent
as i'm looking at this ship I see 26 horizontal sails, wow, thats alot!

what I like most about this one, is the compo.
We are always taught to compose by rules of thirds, but sometimes it works well to go outside of those guidlines.

Really like the upfront and center positioning, with equal space on each side.

Also, the large white border works well too.
    attractive shot all around
    Cheers

    Hi Mariusz
thats not a color combination we get to see very often in boats, blue and black, but I like it.

I think this is one of those photos where you could have even left out the sky and it still would have been fine.

there some very bright light on the far right, but I don't think there was much you could have done really.

the boats and the triple arches steal the show.
I bet there are excellent blue hour views with the arches and reflections!

    see you around

    Hi Ryszard
I'm a big fan of Poland's Town Halls, it seems like each and every one of them is quite attractive.
smart idea to capture this one on its side rather than straight on. the perspecitve and angles are more impactual this way.

fine color contrast with the yellows and blues too.

    Hi Silvio
I thought at first this was taken in France or Switzerland, it certainly has that look to it.

nice to have that cloud coverage, it makes the scene look a bit softer.

but of course the best feature has to be that church tower, lots of charm there.
a fine sense of depth and height in this one

you know how I feel about your photos from Chicago, its like stepping back into the past from a recent trip.

I try to remember all the buildings you show us.
the one in the middle is the best here.

    Hi Malgo
Oh i love this view, and I knew you'd post it at some point.

its so different in the winter months, I think both times of the year are beautiful.
If I had to pick i'd still pick winter because i like the sprinkle of snow :)

But perhaps seeing it with greenery and flowers, yeah, that'd be sweet too!

Love your excitement level, we can really feel it in your note and in your words. Gotta have the Passion!

really appreciate the ws photos as well, its always fun to see some different views.

    Hi Jean
I know I keep repeating myself, but i'm so impressed with France - there seems to be an endless supply of picturesque towns and photographs to be had.

and this is certainly one that i've never heard of before.

of course the tallest building in the town is the Church/Cathedral.

you have yourself a wonderful vantage point, showing off the charm and old time buildings. Too bad for the building on the far left, it kind of doesn't fit style wise :)

but overall, a lovely photograph and compo.

    Hi Marc
great to see you back on TE, we need all the members we can get - as you may have heard alot of members have been leaving and not coming back.

as for the photo....Oh man...i was in Banff just a few weeks ago and i was looking for this composition....where exactly is this taken from?
do you remember the trail name or the hike name?
I'll be going back to banff again

reading your note, you endured alot of conditions to get this one, so good on ya to follow through.

love the look of the forest green colors, and the aqua colors of the water with the long exposure.

    nothing to complain about here

I thought I'd take a look at some of your older shots.

this one caught my attention as i like winter scenes.
For obvious reasons I thought this was taken in Switzerland somewhere.

    Hi Gert
hmmm...it really does have a Brno type of feel and look to it no??

I remember seeing that Column in the travel guide book we purchased for the Czech Rep.

Noel would get a kick out of those sculptures there in the water fountain :)

Don't want to sound stereotypical, but this is the type of scene when I think about most European cities, open squares with a fountain, and connected tenement style buildings in various colors.
All of which are things we don't really have here in Canada or the US - well, except for the water fountains.

a very pleasant city shot, great to see the city we didn't get to see!

I'm off to work, see you around
