    Hello Bev,
You had a very good idea to document these prints. It's a funny and fascinating photo of the mass movement of geese. But why didn't they fly? Did they need to reach the summit to be able to take off? Nature is strange but wonderful.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Rob,
Mueck's figures create strange reactions among people. They seem to liberate us from our natural discretion and allow us to stare shamelessly at their wrinkles and crooked toe-nails and hairy armpits. They allow us to break the mutual agreement, at least in the Western world, that if you don't come too close to me I won't get too close to you. Mueck's figures are like real people, they just happen to be twice as big as the average and artificial. While the figures as such are immensely fascinating (and slightly disgusting) it is fascinating to watch this photo and the visitors' reactions. The workshops, and the additional upload, show us well the incredibly skillful work of Mueck.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Danos,
I only knew Ulm for its famous tall cathedral, but this slightly more modest buildings is also very beautiful. The roof and walls are filled with spectacular details and although the café partly hides the view of the wall it is a nice element of the photo. Sharpness and colours are faultless.

A very nice combination of the colourful and richly decorated carousel and the very plain skyscraper looking like it was designed in the Soviet Union. The people animate the foreground and the tree frames the photo nicely. The colours and sharpness are excellent.

    Hello Alexandre,
Every time I see a photo from a Brazilian city that I had hardly heard of I am amazed to see the maze of skyscrapers. This one has a very attractive situation by the sea with what looks like a great beach conveniently close to where people live. Your composition is well balanced, the colors are beautiful and the two boats are very well placed.

Whether or not it was your intention you managed a photo with a great number of diagonal lines that create a sense of movement, even though everything is perfectly still. You timed it well to match the "TH E SE CO ND" of the train with the signs near the roof. Let's see what will remain of "unum" after this Friday. :-(

    Hello Carlo,
This is a very impressive fortress and the illuminations in the darkness create an exciting atmosphere. You exposed it well and I like your chosen angle where we see people stepping out of the complex from the tunnel of light. There is a fine contrast between the green hillside, the yellowish walls and the black sky.

A beautiful snowy scene which you have exposed to perfection.
I like how you have used the snow tracks to guide successfully from the bottom corner, right into the depth of the features, which add the sense of place to your photograph.

    Hello Ike,

It's surprising how green it all is, considering that you were well into autumn, in quite a northerly region!
I like how you have used the 'duck stream' to carry us nicely from the bottom corner to the rustic bridge. It's a fine photographic tool!
Just showing us the edge of the buildings, I think, was a great idea as it adds context as well as giving a marked contrast in colours and textures to the surrounding greenery.

    Have a lovely day,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Klaudio,

Your zoom lens has captured any details that were necessary to give this exquisite close-up.
It's amazing to see how the petals hug one another in this way to create a beautiful, rounded shape. The colours are just as amazing as they subtly change from cream to pink.
I take your point about being aware of finer details. I think photography is a great medium for sharpening our senses.

    Have a lovely day,

    Hello Malgo,
Maybe not totally creative, but it is a great view with lots of details and lots of people (however small). As long as you're having fun and don't waste time writing critiques all is well. Did you really expect to see all of the Louvre? You would need many days for that. It's better to decide on a few parts and see them more carefully, rather than rushing through as much as possible.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Paul,
Incredible colours and a very neatly composed photo. A tree and a lamppost frame the view of the sun and its reflections perfectly but the silhouettes of the persons are the real gems of this photo. The WS is also very attractive, but I prefer this slightly more minimalistic version.

    Hello Iain,

I have seen this place on TV, in a documentary, and it must be fascinating to visit!

It looks as if there are centuries of debris in the street but the colourful surroundings and the animated, equally colourful, young lady make that of little interest other than adding to the setting!
The whole photograph is charged with 'sense of place', everything being useful in a photographic sense.
    I like it very much!

    Kind regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Will,
Ta Prohm was one of he most interesting temples I saw in the Angkor area, but there were considerably more tourists during my visit. It's a cliché to say that B&W makes a photo look timeless, but I can't avoid it, even though the real timelessness is probably due to the lack of tourists.

    Bonjour Philippe,

This is an eye-catching scene, with the fortress positioned so opportunely by the river, surrounded by neat, warm coloured houses but you have given the scene an extra strength by introducing it via the lines of terracotta, roof tiles. A very intuitive, artistic approach.
