    Hello Noel,
The effect created by the mist is really magical. It looks like the sun is covered in a thin layer of gauze. I also like how the mist has settled in between the trees. Really nice nature shot. :-)

    Hello Jean,
So you are back in Miami Beach again. You must like it. :-) I spent many childhood summers there with my grandparents, but I haven't been back recently. This artwork is something new, and I like the colors. Warm weather, palm trees, and attractive colors are all a big part of Miami Beach, and this photo shows that beautifully.

    Hello Jean,
This inn is very charming, and it's nice to see the yellow bicycle on top and all the flags. The details that also jump out at me are all those metal containers in the back, (I don't know if they're empty or not), and I couldn't help but notice the small sign showing that the inn is protected by ADT! I see a lot of those in my neighborhood, too. :-)

    Hello Chris,
There's also a Union Square here in NYC. :-) This one has more color. I really like the different architectural styles, and all the great details. The old-fashioned street lamps are great, too. There's a nice sense of history and culture in this spot.

    Hello Piotr,
It's so nice to see this bit of Jewish culture from Poland. I can imagine the vibrant community that once existed there. This simple, enclosed balcony speaks to me in a way, whispering about history and times past.

    Hello Gert,
I like this scene because it's gritty and real. The worn out wall and bench, the pile of bags, the open door, all have character. Then there are the two chatting women who bring the scene to life. Very nice. :-)

    Hello Craig,
This scene was definitely begging to be photographed. All the colorful writing is great. Usually there is some English mixed in, but there isn't any here. I like the shy smiles of the girls, and the way they're sitting, too. Great composition. :-)

    Hello Serghei,
this is something different and very interesting, too. Those metal barriers are a strange thing to find in a river. The man has a candle, and the woman seems very happy. It's a unique photo.

    Hello Paul,
Wow! That's a lot of color! It's nice to visit a place like this, but I don't know about actually living there. I like a few bright buildings, but a whole town is a lot! :-) Really nice capture, with the two boys playing, and the very vibrant door.

    Hi Paul
ummmm....I think you need to add more color! this scene isn't colorful enough, not even close, its too dull, too bland, I want to see more grey's and whites.

    haha

this one is making my eyes hurt! WOW!
perhaps my favorite photo you've posted from Columbia.
the cut and composition is A+

    Hi Zbigniew
wow, its easy to see why photographers would love this bridge!
I know I do and this is my first time seeing it.

those rounded parts on each side really stand out well and make it so attractive. so does the bridge's depth and dark dark brown colors. love the misty air in the bg too, thats adds another layer of mystery. fine post

    Hi Serghei
I have to be honest, I don't really know what's going on here in this scene!

could it be similar to what people are doing in India with the Ganges River? I guess what's throwing me off is that railing in the water, it just seems to out of place. the smile on the lady is the best part! very interesting scene indeed. great for TE

glad I could be somewhat of an inspiration haha :)

we've both found a pretty cool library!
even looking at this scene I can see a few neat compositions waiting to be taken.

I'm sure Denis will approve :)

its cool to have that slither of silver rock sloping down in the bg, that looks fantastic. and yes, the train does add alot, i'd be waiting and waiting for the train to come into the scene :)

funny how the train looks like a toy.

    Hi Bev
I have to agree, the Beta versions really do look better don't they!

    another good write up.
I always try to imagine how these castles and the surrounding areas looked back in the 13th century. Can you believe the horror and disbelief of the original owners today, if they knew their castle is basically part of a parade going down the river! A sight to see along the route.

Oh how times have changed. such a charming scene, very photogenic and it looks great in every aspect. lets bring back the Beta full time!

    Hi Brenda
I've been waiting for a new photo!
hmmm...different cultures mixing well together...Trump should take note of that!

this is a great looking mural, so much going on it takes a moment or two to adapt the eyes to figure out what we're looking at. and its one of those murals that I see something i didn't see the previous time.

love the choice of blue and white, it truly does stand out well. I'll have to keep my eye out for these next time

yes, as you've pointed out in your note it does appear the boats are floating.

the red color splashed actually are very important to the overall scene as it provides an excellent colour contrast. and its great how we can see the rocks underneath the water. wishing I was here! cheers

    Hi Gy
so who is this mystery man?
I get the sense this man has a high opinion of himself? haha
but you say he's a photographer? well then, he's a good man!

his stance, his gaze, his outfit hat and all make the scene.
and I truly don't mind the tight cropping, it suits the scene well with him coming out of the right side like that.
