    Dag Paul,
    Prachtig gedaan.

I recognized this fascinating scene of the north entrance of the central station immediately. An inspiring place for a creative photographer. Your composition with the men walking away in the center of the composition and the reflections above is very good.

Saint Kitts and Nevis are such exotic names for me. I heard of them. I know where I can find them on the map. I know the weather is always good except sometimes a hurricane. And I know a cousin of me is sailing in that neighbourhood. So it is nice to see something more about it on your lovely picture.

    Hi Noel
    Selfie Time! Selfie Time!

Oh what has happened to the world?????
Isn't it amazing how selfies didn't really even exist 7 or 8 years ago...and now people are actually getting killed while taking selfies because they don't know whats around them, or they're too close to the cliff edge, or they get hit by a train etc....its amazing how this selfie thing has taken off.

I know Gert commented on how he likes the women in this shot, but for me i'd be trying to kick them out of my way!
    haha...get outa here!!!!!!!

    lol

na, its all in good fun. with or without the ladies in front, its all about the Castle in my opinion.
Can you imagine this Castle being home to one family for 791 years!!! How many generations is that?

I'd be scared to sit down inside this Castle, maybe i'd end up dead by evening time as well!
When we read the notes about the history, man, its always such a VIOLENT history isn't it.

not to get too off topic, but all we hear about in todays world is terrorism etc....but in fact the history here dating back all the way to the 12 century was horrific!
Sounds like it was an awful time to be alive, because you'd probably be dead by nightfall!

Seems like every Castle was burnt down, blown up, conquered, invaded, torn apart...man...i wouldn't have owned a Castle at all! Really does sound like a violent past we humans lived in!

    cheers
    Craig

    Hi Malgo
the peacock is actually very hard to see from the small size pictures on the gallery page, but we see it more clearly here.

as with most people, I dont' quite understand the connection with the peacock...do you? any thoughts on that? am i missing something here?

a wonderful cultural image with the Mausoleum in the bg and seeing the cultural heritage in the woman's clothing is nice too.

a great capture on this journey.

    Hi Kik
easy to see why this Castle is so popular.
I read the note from your other post to give me some background info.

It has a much different look and feel to it from this point of view, and both i enjoy very much. Its so picturesque and photogenic.

What is it used for today? is there still a family living in it every day? and is it open to the public?

    excellent shot, beautiful architecture

Yeah, I think I can see myself walking these streets some day!
Reminds me a little bit of Valetta, Malta.
cool to see the hilly hillsides of Porto through the alley way at the end. and if we look closely we can see some very interesting small balconies on the left.
well done with the lighting and exposure

now you see, this is why I like TE so much, I had no idea there was 'another' Coliseum like the one in Rome, here in Croatia!

excellent note to go along with the photo too.
sounds like its in much better working condition than the one in Rome. Cool to hear its still used today for various events.

    Hi Chris
    I have a few questions...

what we're looking at here in the scene, are these mostly tourists we see, or are they locals?

and what are these large stones we see in the fg and wrapped around the shoreline - some sort of breaker or something?

also, we've heard alot about Egypt lately in the news and such, did you have any difficulty in regards to safety during your travels? I'm sure it was fine, but sometimes when it comes to countries like this you have to take a second thought. Just curious.

lovely shot, lots of varying/contrasting colours, i like the set up of the compo and how its laid out for us.
    Cheers
