    Hello Malgorzata,

I must free up room in my supersaturated collection of favorites (100) to put this beauty in there. Absolutely fantastic! The colorful pedestrian adds scale and brilliant color to a superb shot.

    Best wishes,

    Hello Michelle,

The beach is pristine and so placid, very much like the beaches in the islands of the Andaman Sea. On my 27" iMac, you cannot imagine how sharp and beautiful this photo appears. I think we should hang it in the group theme Paradise on Earth.

    Warm regards, Michelle,

    Hello Michelle,

A nice and clean photo reflecting the pristine Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Except for the puzzling woman in bare feet, there is no one in sight. In 2012 we made a pitstop there, flying from New Delhi to Phuket, and then a few days later, flying back to New Delhi. It's good to see you back at TE. I want to know about your other photos.

Warm regards, and have a good weekend,

    Dear Malgorzata,

You are absolutely right. I don't remember seeing any other shots of the interior of the Duomo in Siena. The inlaid marble characterizing Italian religious buildings in the late Medieval and early Renaissance is the best in the world, mathematical mosaics at their best. You must have had a wonderful time in Tuscany on this last trip. I assume you are back in Warsaw by notw.

    Hello Vasilis,

This is an excellent aerial view, shot with ideal light. It is well composed and perfectly exposed. The irst time I visited Navplion, I climbed up the 999 steps to the citadel. My son who was with me was in training (he was a world class rower) and he sprinted up the stairs, I barely made it up. In subsequent trips I took tour buses or taxis to get to the top.

    Hello dear Constantino,

You have so many fine photos from the rim of the magnificent Aegean that it is hard to decide which one to critique. So, I will start with this image of a cat framed between a column and a plinth, set against the backdrop of a setting sun in Volos. The composition and light management are excellent.

    Hello Bev,

I always like to see images of stately English homes. I had not known of Biddulph Grange and but its gorgeous gardens. Thanks to this very fine photo and equally fine note, I've learned something. Years ago, they published the Royal AA travel book, replete with descriptions and maps (in the United States, that is of course the "Triple-A"). On weekends I frequently traveled around the UK and created my ink sketches with the AA travel book in hand. Take a look at the short slide show (6-seconds for each slide) on "The Architectural Portraits", then click on Rooms 1 and 2 to see sites in the UK.

    Warm regards, Bev,

    Hello Tiffany,

I can picture this scene as a winter wonderland just a few months earlier, enshrouded in deep snow. Your note is very good to explain the area. The names "Yukon" and "Klondike" remind me of The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in movies of the past.

In this serene photo illuminated with the sun at a low angle, the ripple's in the water appear as dark bands. The bird is riding a small piece of wood as his raft. Such a lovely view of solitude and solitary existence.

    Witaj Pyotr,

Your photo, informed by an informative note, is an excellent addition to TE. I've visited Barcelona several times, and new about the peaks of Montserrat, but never had the experience of this lovely view, looking down at Barcelona from the mountains. The abbey of course is meant to be the focal point, but the entire scene is pleasure to behold.

    Ciao Christina,

Your photo of the lioness is so beautifully composed and exposed that it almost looks like it was taken in a zoo. How exciting it must me to see the majestic creatures in the wild. Recently, on television they showed a family in their car driving slowly through a wild animal sanctuary when a lioness actually opens the back door of their SUV. Someone riding in the back reaches over and pulls the door closed before the animal can jump in or pull a person out for her dinner.

    Hello Krzysztof,

The curved facade of the Dairy Cooperative in Skalmierzyce creates an eye catching subject, especially since it blends in so well with the sky. What I also like about it, is that it is a good candidate for the group theme City reflections. If you don't mind, I will add it it in there. It is well composed, well illuminated and perfectly exposed with perfect depth of field.
