    Hello Craig,

I'm glad you included the people in the photo (not that you can avoid them) but the place is a living museum. The light and resulting resolution are ideal. I've seen images of the iconic edifice with young women lined up, all in colorful saris. It becomes a breath taking sight, even if it is an arranged event. The summer gets much too hot, and I have the memories of a heat stroke I suffered in July 2010. But then, a good friend had warned me, "Only mad dogs and Englishmen come in July... and I know you're not English!"

    Warm regards,

    Bulent

    Hello May,

B&W is the ideal format for a French scene from the 50s or even 60s. You captured the man deep in thought as he does his reading for the day. A first rate piece of photographic art.

    Dear Lars,

The fabulous Impressionist creation here would have made Monet proud. Compare this photo with images of
Monet's Cathedrals. Normally when I take photos of reflections in water, I don't like to invert it. Here the inversion works perfectly, especially with the brushwork in the sky.

    Hello Alexandre,

Clear, crisp shot, is the cliff on the sea or inland? Although you have a more recent photo on Trekearth, this one caught my eye immediately. The crescent and star comprise the Turkish flag. I wonder if the individuals carving on the cliff had a subtle message in mind?

Between 19 December 2015 and 3 January 2016, I will be on a cruise of the Crystal Symphony, visiting Brazil. I will be serving as a Special Topics Lecturer). I am very enthusiastic about the prospect of seeing your magnificent country.

    Warm regards,

    Bonjour Pierre,

This is a clean, minimalist image of a highly ornate chair. The colors and resolution are excellent. I wonder when the chair and banner actually date from, 18th Century, 19th Century...?

    Hello Malgorzata,

I must free up room in my supersaturated collection of favorites (100) to put this beauty in there. Absolutely fantastic! The colorful pedestrian adds scale and brilliant color to a superb shot.

Hi Stephen From the outside view I expected to be more Gothic and it is a pure Baroque style (a bit disappointing). But anyway excellent presentation.

    Ciao cara Lisa,
What a magnificent beach without anyone except the brave photographer. The light here is simply marvelous. Maybe not so good for swimming here, long way to water (or maybe it is just the low tide), but good opportunity for some fine reflections and the light enhances the view of ripples. Gorgeous picture.

    Hello Daddo,

Interesting note about Zoroastrian temple. I do not know anything about this religion nor I have seen any temple like this. Rather narrow composition, the believers in the foreground, the tourists at the entrance. I wonder when the girls must dress like women - in scarfs and trousers. beautiful colour of the pond, excellent symmetry. What a pity I didn't go to Iran as I planned.

    Hello Michelle,

The beach is pristine and so placid, very much like the beaches in the islands of the Andaman Sea. On my 27" iMac, you cannot imagine how sharp and beautiful this photo appears. I think we should hang it in the group theme Paradise on Earth.

    Hello Michelle,

A nice and clean photo reflecting the pristine Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Except for the puzzling woman in bare feet, there is no one in sight. In 2012 we made a pitstop there, flying from New Delhi to Phuket, and then a few days later, flying back to New Delhi. It's good to see you back at TE. I want to know about your other photos.

    Dear Malgorzata,

You are absolutely right. I don't remember seeing any other shots of the interior of the Duomo in Siena. The inlaid marble characterizing Italian religious buildings in the late Medieval and early Renaissance is the best in the world, mathematical mosaics at their best. You must have had a wonderful time in Tuscany on this last trip. I assume you are back in Warsaw by notw.

Hi Craig, Excellent view of the Taj MAhal but too classic for me :). But esxcellent quality, anyway. You were lucky with the weather, with world wonders I usually had bad luck, it rained in Taj Mahal, snowed in Petra, rained in Machu Picchu.. At least Christ Redemptor was with fine weather. I like the shadows.
