    Bonjour Alain,

    Hello Fotka,

Wel... It could have been Scotland! Such a moody atmosphere thank to the dark moutains, the foggy clouds and the brown & yellow grass.

I like this photo because it makes me feel on the high counties of Great-Britain or Scandinavia again... and I love it!

Thank youy & warmest regards - Viviane

    Bonjour Gilles,

Cette photo a fait "tilt!" - Regardez celle-ci et puis on a choisi le N&B...

Vous avez raison, photographier le jeu des ombres et lumières était inévitable... :)

    Bonjour Richard,

I don't think Iulian has ever been there... I don't remember such Swedish landscapes as we we never went that high north but I remember Norwegian and Scottish highland looking precisely like here. Foggy, misty, magical moody feeling... Yes, I can imagine very well that atmosphere. And I think you succeeded very well in translating it.

Thank you for responding to my previous critique, we would be very honoured to meet you if it is possible. I'll send a message about our planning.

    Bonjour Peter,

I was looking at the photos concerning Lappland as we plan a travel through Sweden and going to Norway via Kiruna and Narvik next May 2015...
Your photo shows that the landscape there are just like I imagined but... We will have more day than night at the time I guess... :)

After a while looking at this picture I knew I remembered having seen the same before and I am afraid I must recognize my guild being the one who deactivated - not censured- your previous photo because of an elaborate frame. I precisely remember it looked like a sandy structured frame with not straight lines and not according the TOS rule about frames:

Frames must be plain and straight edged (simple drop shadow is allowed)
Cannot contain gradients, textures, blurring or beveling, but may contain the photo's title and/or the member's name.

Again, I am very sorry you lost two photos but I couldn't do otherwise...

    Welcome on TE Richard!

Thank you for such a lovely shot. It is really a great composition, it looks like the fox stood on the very right place at the very best moment and... Turned his eyes to you... Wonderful!

We are going to travel there, not far from your place, next May 2015, I can't wait to see the nature in that part of Sweden.

    Bonjour Serge,

Nicely captured to show how much it is a part of the town. Even the scale fits the town. It doesn't tower above it in way that sets it that much apart. It all comes down to a nice human scale in this quaint street. Well done.

I like both of these shots of Harpa. I really like the perspective in this one, a forced one, as the lobby narrows and proceeds into the distance. The light is managed well, with the outside light not overexposing the windows and the darks not being too dark in the rest of the interior. Nicely done.

Good point of view for both gates. Both streets angle nicely from here to direct us around the scene. I love all the buildings that all seem to tilt and their own angles, including the two towers. It has a cartoonish feel of an idyllic old village scene. I wonder how the scene would look if you were in the center, along the railing, if the split would look stronger. Although the way the two roads converge from this point creates a strong feeling of two different places mashed together, which I like.

Cool spiral staircase. I like the tones you have in this and the way the detail is captured. It looks like a fairytale castle's stairs. One thing that I see while looking at this is perhaps to have been a little to the right or leaning the camera out a little more to get the bottom more in the lower left corner to create that diagonal as it spirals down into the darkness. But I still like it. I've had it open for a while, while I work, coming back to it over and over to examine it and get drawn in by it.

Nice haunted wild landscape you have here. The atmosphere conveys a sense of cold and after a storm just as the cabins are here after their lives. It's very picturesque. My taste might want a little more foreground, especially since it looks so richly textured, to lead into the scene and into the mountains towering above in the background. But it still nicely conveys that "western" feel of the remains of the past.
