    Hello Craig,

The photo is first-rate... as usual, and so is your engaging note. The colors of the costumes and vegetable against the monotonic color of the ground.

You should do an Excel sheet, rating sites from 1-5 according to 1) difficulty of access, 2) natural beauty, 3) accessibility of edible food, 4) being badgered by beggars, sellers... 5) level of danger from animals, 6) level of danger from heights and widths, 7) level of danger from criminals... and a myriad other unforeseen issues. Maybe 2) should be from 1-10.

    Warm regards,

    Bulent

    Hi Pavle
well, in terms of photography I love abandoned homes. But I know what you mean by the people leaving for a better life, its sad in some ways.

for obvious reasons, the yellow color stands out so well, especially in this bright sunlight, its as if the home is glowing :) I really enjoy the poor conditions of the yard, fence and crumbling walls of the house. thanks for this one
    cheers

    Hi Mesut
this is wonderful! Certainly a place I'd like to see in person some day. How could this not be a place anyone would want to visit!

love the choice of pov, it shows the theatre in its best view, especially with the mountain range in the bg, and this wide angle format is so attractive.
Imagine this place in its prime, with lots of people and the site fully constructed!

    Hi Silvio
another great looking indoor shot here.
and you're right, its so strange to see such a beautiful church in a town that's almost deserted.
so many intricate paintings and murals here, and I love the colours, and the way they're laid out. awesome subject for TE. fine indoor shot in this hard light. cheers

    Hi Will
yeah, this is the new world of today. when I think of us using our GPS on our phones, it makes me think about how did we get around on the Old Days with map books in our cars, and the passenger in the car unfolding and folding maps like crazy haha

looks like you were very close to this couple, but perhaps not i'm not sure. its good to zoom in to avoid all the people in the bg. very bright and clear shot. cheers

    Hi Pierre
I appreciate this post, as I say its great to see new shots from Montreal.

We have a very similar style building here in Vancouver. But not as tall or wide. but same construction styling.

in a funny way, it looks like the top of the building has been forgotten or it fell off :)

another fine post from this City, keep them coming.

this is just another typical rainy day in Vancouver!
Heck, In fact I think you took this photo today in Vancouver :)

another well informed note for us to read, that always makes the photo that much better and more interesting.
I like that you added in the boats at the top of the frame, its as if the owner of the 'car' is saying "to hell with you all" haha

    Hello Malgo,

What an entertaining photo with a suitable title. Clearly, you and your lens charmed these fellows. Did you happen to wonder to the Einstein Haus in Basel where he enjoyed his (first) Annus Mirabilis in 1905, formulating the photoelectric effect theory, Brownian Motion, and the Special Theory of Relativity? The second one came in 1915 in Berlin when he formulated the General Theory of Relativity.

    Ciao Luciano,

I love the skyline of Havana, a living museum of 500 years. We normally see beaches. There is a cobalt blue occurring as highlights throughout the scene. I wonder if some of them are warm water containers, heated by solar panels.

    Bonjour cher ami, Philippe,

The perfectly composed photo of the Eglise Sain Gengoult sees the bell tower rise into the gorgeous sky, the roadway and other architectural edifices beautifully preserved. For a tiny town wit a population of only 206, the village has such lovely stone buildings and a four-hundred-year-old church.

    Hello Angel,

The two trees have been used wisely to bracket the heavenly sight, a blue-green lake and trees rising from vertical hills. The depth of field is excellent, allowing the branches in the foreground and the trees in the distance to appear equally sharp.

    Hello Ike,

This is the type of scene I like best from the British Isles. I see that you were there at precisely noon. The stone houses have a uniformity in their architecture, presumably designed and built by the same developer. The brilliant red door jam offers a warm highlight to an otherwise series of cool colors.

    Hello Gert,

Your new series of people engaged in small talk is emblematic of the universality of human nature. It's a chance for locals to solve local, national, and global problems. I focused immediately on the marketplace in Stockholm, #4 in the series. You must have some photos of cafe scenes in the Middle East where such banter goes on.

This was #3 in your series of people engaged in small talk. The mood is very different between #3 and #4. A mood of resignation in #4, and a mood of youthful romance in #3.

What a gorgeous scene of radiating blues at sunset. Samos, the birthplace of Pythagoras and Aristarchus two ancient natural philosophers, is an island I have long wanted to visit. Thanks to your photos I can make a partial visit.
