Great use of lines and shapes with pronounced sense of perspective enhanced further by the two silhouettes in the middle distance. Great idea to present it in b&w.

    Hi Benny
Very creative take on architectural photography. I bet there are lots of photos of this place but none taken from this pov with this kind of framing.
The light is beautiful and the contrast works really well.

    Hi Iain
Two different genres and yet, just like in your previous post, what we first notice when we look at the thumbnail, and then, the moment we enlarge the photo, is the exquisite mastery of colour photography and thorough understanding of the relationships between colours. I don't really need to say it, as you well know it is the case: perfect timing to keep the two red elements on the opposite sides of the image thus creating balance and harmony.
On another matter you hint upon in your note - the opportunities for the photographer in those parts of towns overlooked by tourists (either for their lack of obvious "attractions" or outright warnings that label those places as "dangerous") are endless. Well done on reaching further than most visitors do.
    Best wishes

You did find the perfect viewpoint. What makes the image are the arrows and the other splashes of colour - the runner and the yellow lines.

    Hi Gert
Nothing special Indian style, especially in iconic Puri, is very special I'm afraid! ;-)
I like the way the two cows fill the foreground, they look almost as if they were about to trample the photographer! Very dramatic take on the reality of an Indian street.
In spite of the fact that you made the best of the foreground, you also kept the top edge of the image in exactly the right place to please the architecture lovers among your viewers.
Talking about cliches... did you eat puri in Puri? :-)
The beautiful temples in WS make me realise how profound my - as you called it - my "India deficiency" is. And also my current Asia deficiency (boo hoo).
    Have a nice Sunday

    Hi Gyorgy
So... you have a lot of snow in Miskolc. All of Europe seems to be covered in snow, even England, except for where I live and definitely not the days when I go to work... And it disappears in Poland, for a brief moment, every time I go there... Just my luck.
Ok, that's my rant for the day.
You've taken a captivating and dynamic photo of a showball fight. The timing and exposure (not easy in these conditions) are perfect and even the position of the two people in bright jackets is great.
    Have a nice Sunday

    Hi Craig
Fortunately, in your photo this place doesn't look like it's totally overrun with tourists. And the person in red coat adds something extra special to the image as they stand out from the predominantly green surroundings.
What a pity about the drone though. I'm planning to buy one soon so keeping a very close eye on everything you say about your experience with them.

    Hi Abmdsudi
How much hard work goes into our leisurely tea sipping! And a lot of other things we do or own - our food, clothes, object of everyday use... Makes me feel appreciative and guilty at the same time.
You are rightly proud of this beautiful image with this lady's peaceful expression ephasized by the fact her eyes are closed. Eye contact would have surely given her a more alert look.
Also, the combination of large areas of three highly distinguishable colours works really really well here.

Wonderful silhouettes of the conifer trees, but of course, as you say in the note, what makes this image really special is the mountain in the background lit by the morning sun.

Deszczowa pogoda ma swoje uroki, np. brak tlumu zwiedzajacych, ale takze te mokre plytki, ktore pieknie odbijaja swiatlo. Kawiarniane stoliki na pierwszym planie daja wrazenie trojwymiarowosci.

    Hi again Will
It seems to be the latest fun-spoiling idea - the ban on tripods in tourist attractions.
I was once told by a guard I was not allowed to use a tripod in Hampton Court gardens (middle of winter, at the time no other visitors but me) and that it was "a copyright issue". Can you believe it? Never heard anything as ridiculous as that. On another occasion I was stopped by the police from taking a photo of the HC Palace from outside (so I wasn't even in the palace grounds) by a strong message from a tannoy: "put the tripod DOWN!".
On the other side of the globe, while visiting the Field of Lights installation in Ayers Rock I was told my tripod was a safety risk (me, crouching over it, tripod legs not extended, at the very edge of the path); fortunatey I had taken enough photos by the time I was spotted by a guard.
These are only my "top experiences" of the wide-spread hostility against a tripod, I won't mention all of them.
Well done on your perseverance, I'm so glad you managed to take this lovely dusk image full of golden hues.
    Best wishes
