    Hello Burak,
an amazing sight, it looks so powerful and dynamic, the presence of a lot of people so close to the geyser is surprising. They seem to be fascinated, no one is trying to move away. I like very much the depth and clarity of this scene, the colours are agreeable and they react to the light in a natural way. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello Danos,

I love how you have given us such good details of the area surrounding the monastery, for it shows its precarious situation! It makes one wonder how they were able to transport materials up to the location for building purposes! It is truly an amazing building in an equally amazing place!
I noticed the cloning and read your note to Gyorgy.
It is a pity but I understand that it would have spoilt the overall impression of the monastery!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Kik,

This is a great follow-on photograph, giving fine, close-up details of the castle.
You have composed this perfectly symmetrical.
The windows, which have stunning clarity, create an excellent 3D effect. The details are pin sharp throughout.

    Hello Alexandre,
how beautiful and inviting the beach and the seascape are, you captured all the magnificent qualities of the scenery effectively, exalted the colours and the contrasts as a most important and distinctive characteristic of the scene and chose a perspective that draws us in in an irresistible way. The people we see in the scene must feel mesmerized, the cloudscape is amazing and introduces a sense of drama. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello Fabiano,

I have never been to Milan, so this eye-catching scene holds great interest. I love your viewpoint, using the statue and his sword, to guide towards the beauty of the magnificent cathedral.
You have achieved a fine, sharp exposure and an excellent sense of depth.
Milan seems to be a very busy place, especially in this area.

    Hello Ricardo,
Such a lovely and tranquil view of the port area here. The colours are very natural and pleasantly bright. The sharpness lets us enjoy the many details perfectly. I also like the composition, in particular because of the old boat in the left hand foreground.

    Hello Chris,

This is a most interesting piece, modern and ancient at the same time! I love how the pyramid shapes are integral to the pattern, yet not dominating.
It becomes a curious, optical illusion as you look at it! The bottom seems shorter than the top!

There have been some excellent historical programmes about Egypt, recently. I think some interesting discoveries were made quite close to Alexandria!

Did you find it dangerous, travelling in Egypt at this time?

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Jean,
an intriguing idea, a surprising and attractive result. I like how you are presenting this owl, as if your picture was a portrait. The bird looked real in the thumbnail and in the large image it seems to have a character that could interact with the viewer. I like the sweet colours of the natural setting and the stark contrast between natural and metallic textures. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello Ike,

This just reminds me that the Cycle Grand Prix will soon be taking place in the area where I live. I have been away on holiday for the last couple of years and missed it! Let's hope I will be around this year!

    It's a fine action shot!
From facial expressions, I think the guy at the front is making the most effort and the other two are taking advantage of his slip stream.
Three is a great number for composition and you have placed these cyclists strongly in the frame, lots of space into which they can cycle.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Craig,

    This is one amazing building!
I have stared at it long and hard, trying to grasp what it recalls in my memory. Then, I realise, it reminds me of gills!
Water passes over shapes like this to remove oxygen from the water ... or so I believe!!
Whatever, it is one strange building and makes a super, unusual entry for TE.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Hans,
an interesting, dynamic composition, all the horizontal lines of the scenery converge towards a significant element in the background whilst we can turn to the right and have a glimpse of the flat surrounding landscape. I like the different tonalities of a moody palette, the left bank has an eye-catching colour and the right side displays interesting graphics. Congratulations and thank you!

This is like a piece of psychedelic art!

    Hello Jean,

    What a beautiful, tiled floor.
It can only really be appreciated from this elevated position and your inclusion of the feet and part figures, explains your viewpoint. From your thumbnail, I couldn't make sense of the photograph but all became clear, full size!

I'm so glad that beauties from the past are shared on this site. It means we are able to share experiences that would, otherwise be completely unknown to us! This is a fine capture of a beautiful piece of art.

    Thank you for sharing this,

    Hola Angel,

This is a beautiful time of day for photography.
The sky looks so clear and atmospheric!
It makes a fine b/g against which to show the houses, drifting into shadow and ultimately slumber!
I like your viewpoint, the strong positioning of the spire and how the buildings follow the slope of the hillside.

    Hello Erhan,
Amazing skyscrapers. This is not at all like the Moscow I saw 30 years ago...;-) I feel there is not much city planning going on here. Every oligarch builds his own skyscraper in any style he likes, anywhere he likes. Your photo has a superb clarity and the the light and colours are very attractive.

    Hello Jorge,
I never cease to wonder about the incredibly rich cultural heritage of India. There seems to be an endless number of impressive forts and temples and palaces in this country. This is a stunning view of the different kinds of structures of Kumbalhgarh. The visitors seen in the street add life and colours, which I always appreciate, but the ramparts and hills are fully enjoyed all on their own anyway.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
