    Hello Gildas,
The straight lines of the tall buildings and the red iron construction dominate the view, making the graffiti in the foreground appear as a great contrast. The colours of the buildings are fairly dull but balance each other in an interesting and quite attractive way. The dark clouds and the good light clearly benefit the photo. It's a well considered composition of very different kinds of elements that combined create a highly interesting effect.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Ann,
This is an excellent photo. The beautiful old houses are beautifully reflected and you have "anchored" the composition perfectly in the two red buoys. I get an impression they were left there for the benefit of observant photograpers. They also form a kind of triangle with the top of the church tower. You were blessed with fine weather and a very good light, but a less gifted photographer could probably have wasted such an opportunity anyway.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Noel,
These are very interesting twin towers, quite beautiful too, and the dark clouds suit them perfectly. They are very nicely reflected in each other, and I also love the reflections at the bottom of the more modest buildings in the vicinity.

    Hello Craig,
Amazing cars, I wouldn't deny that, and a spontaneous eye-contact could never be wrong. There is nothing wrong with laundry hanging outside the windows either. Even the architecture is fine, or at least it used to be fine. But why did you want to brighten this? I see no need at all for that.

This is a great view with remarkable natural colours, possibly improved by the warm afternoon light. The small island would be a fine place for a picnic. The sharpness of the photo is excellent.

    Hello Jasmine,
The dramatic contrasts of the well lit surface and the pitch black background make the canopy look like floating in space, like a Gothic satellite if any such thing existed. I like how you have cropped it just below the small heads (of prophets, angels?). It's a marvellous work of art and a very good photo.

    Hello Costantino,
This is a great view of the small town below the mountains. This time of the year the streets look quite empty but there seems to be a crowd of locals at the café to the right. The light and colours are very good and I also like the single red buoy floating in the blue water.

    Hello Malgo,
You composed this close-up very well by tilting it to create diagonals. This little excerpt of the wall looks a lot better than the entire building with its design of what may be called Soviet modernism.

    Hello Bev,
This is a great photo. Impromptu shots are usually the best, IMO, provided the photographer has enough time to get the technicalities reasonably right. This one is almost immaculate. There seems to be a slíght tilt, judging from the walls of the ruin, and it would have been even better if the girls had not been so close together. But considering the circumstances these are very minor remarks. I really love the colours and good atmosphere the girls bring, and the surroundings are superb. There's a wonderful contrast between the happy young girls and the gloomy old ruins.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Krzysztof,
Lots of people in bright clothes assembled in the forest, that was an ideal moment for a photo. The bikers are placed on a diagonal splitting the composition in two parts, and one woman is standing in front of the others creating a superb foreground. The light is excellent and the colours are perfect.

    Hello Farhat,
Samosas are truly my favourite Indian snack, so to me this is a mouth-watering photo. I love the colours, light and the many many interesting details. The relative roughness of the equipment createst a genuine atmosphere of Howrah :-). The man to the far left may be watching you but the others seem completely unaware of the camera, or they jusy don't care. This is certainly one of my favourites among your photos. Thanks for sharing.

I can't make out the quality of the photos from this distance, but they did provide you with a lot of colors, which isn't so bad for another color photo. I would surely have taken the same kind of picture if I had been there. I love this kind of study of human behavior.

This is a fine photo from the zoo, and I really appreciate that you show us people instead of caged animals. People relaxing among the kiosks in the shade of the trees are more interesting to watch. Technically this is an excellent photo with very good sharpness and colours.

    Hello Romano,
It's a bit surprising to learn that this church was so recently built, but the architect was obviously looking back hundreds of years. It's a magnificent building and the good contrasts and light give the details of the façade a bit of a 3D character. I am not so keen on the museum on the side. I wish the church had been standing a little more on its own.

    Hello Rosemary,
As you already indicated in the title this photo has the qualities of a painting. An amateur artist would probably love to try to capture these tones of light brown with touches of purple, not to mention the many tones of the clouds. In spite of the wide stretch of sand this doesn't look like the ideal beach to me. Maybe it's a great place for fishing or surfing, but not the place for a cosy day with some shade available and a place to get out of the strong winds.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
