    Hello Ana,
This is a very well taken photo from the end of the carnival. I find it rather fascinating, but it could possibly scare children. It is a very suggestive photo, like something out of a horror movie. It is very well exposed, capturing the fire perfectly.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Ourania,
Here you go again with one of your puddles ;-). This one is terrific. I am not quite sure which kind of "-ism" this would be, but it looks a lot like a painting, and by a very clever artist, I would say. The inclusion of some of the gravel was an essential part of the rules of the game for this kind of composition. Very well done.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Miro,
This is a wonderful photo, The castle is really majestic, as you point out, and your balance of the composition is just as good. The inclusion of the half moon, and the marvellous blue sky, makes this so much more than an ordinary postcard.

    Hello Aleksander,
Everything in this photo is attractive and interesting, but the best part is to my mind the sign for the trattoria and the flowers in the windows above. There is a marvellous balance of colours in that part of the photo.

    Hello Bev,
I like the zigzagging of the pier and the well placed lamppost. I would not have thought of Indian Gothic unless you had told us (and hardly even then). I always find these British piers rather fascinating, because we do not have anything like them in Sweden. The light, colours and contrasts are excellent. If anything, I might have liked to see the two sections of the pier joined together inside the photo, but I guess that would have involved some fairly difficult and maybe dangerous gymnastics to find such a POV somewhere outside the railing. :-)
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Gerrit,
I do not think this is the kind of place that would interest me much if I would ever go to Cuba. On the other hand there is never anything wrong with watching a well taken photo with a well placed nice girl in red with the sea behind her. I would probably have snapped the same photo if I had been there.

    Hello Ryszard,
The Rynek of Poznan was maybe my favorite market square in Poland (even including the one in Wroclaw) and this is a fine photo of the beautiful buildings and one of the fountains. I notice, and appreciate, that there is one person in almost every corner of this photo. I just get curious to know what the nearest woman is actually looking at. Excellent colours as always,
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Paul,
The title would make anyone curious, and I remained just as curious until I read your reply to Malgo. I had suspicions that it referred to the palm, so I was right. These are really very charming houses and the low POV also makes the entire view more interesting by including the makeshift street market. Maybe Portugal would be worth another visit after more than 30 years.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Burak,
Another very interesting photo with a good POV from this fantastic city. Maybe I was in this mosque, I do not quite remember. I do remember that two soldiers on a temporary leave took some time to guide me around town. Are places like Urfa and Mardin reasonably quiet and safe these days, or are they too close to Syria to be really comfortable?
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Andrew,
Welcome back after a long absence. It is nice to see that you managed to post a photo in spite of the ongoing technical problems.
This is a terrific composition, reminding me very much of a painting from maybe the mid 20th century. The effect of colors, light, beams is superb. I just wonder if this is precisely what the architect had in mind, or if this is your very own composition. Regardless which, it is a great and very interesting photo.
    Best regards,
    Gert

Fantastic scenery. Very strange rocks and a fine high POV which lets us look into the narrow valleys. The earth colored rocks match very nicely the dark green trees. Nature has become like an abstract composition.

    Hello Manuel,
This is a nice photo, very much nicer then the TE logo which was first seen. Trek Earth seems to be going crazy these days.
I like the three layers of water and the woman in the red blouse. The pillars to the left are well balanced by the trees on the background. The light and colours are very good.

    Hello Josep,
The reflections make the large building come alive with brightness and different colours. The running children are just as important for this composition. They even more make the photo come alive.

    Hello Denis,
The orange colored house makes an almost shockingly bright foreground, and it contrasts perfectly with the green hillside. There is also a fine balance between the two rows of houses at the lower level and those on the hill. The light falls perfectly on the orange building and its attractive black details.

    Hello John,
This is another beautiful building very nicely situated by the water where it is perfectly reflected. It is a pity that your note was not accepted due to the technical problems, but it may still be possible to add it, if you use the edit mode and avoid all apostrophes. They seem to be the major problem.

I needed your explanation to see clearly what kind of fire this is. But what I did see immediately were the fine pattern made by the fire and the pieces of wood. There is a beautiful play of lighter and darker areas, like in an abstract painting.

The railings are very elegant and you have captured the nice curve just as elegantly with the pebbly beach and the sea as a fine backdrop. The shadows contribute a lot to the elegance of the composition. It is a very good photo but I find it slightly dark. Do you agree?

It is no longer a nice building, but the details make this an interesting photo with some strange beauty. I like the well captured rough textures of the various materials and the details of the window and the roof. The colours are matching each other very nicely too.
