    Hi Kasia
An amazing spectacle, you were certainly in the right place at the right time with those sailing balloons and the faerie chimneys fir so nicely within the frame. Such a wonderful warm light and colourful scene, what a shot you must be very pleased with this as much as I do. Fabulous capture, TFS

How interesting to have this along the waterfront and the humour making him much more a part of the scene than he would be otherwise, I suspect. Great capture, Congrats

    Hi Rosemary
I hate to say this because i don't want to make you upset, but i actually prefer the WS photo :)

there have been several times when i have posted shots, and later i wished I had posted my WS photo...ever happen to you?

both are powerful images, this one shows great detail in the statue and the building.

the WS photo has great perspectives and angles.
this one here is much more in-your-face up front.

    both are great though.
but i'd put the WS photo as the winner because we can see his face. but thats just me :)

    awesome post.
this is a subject I'd love to photograph myself

    cheers

hmm...i wonder how many people have posted photo's referring to Chaplin...not too many is my guess :)

good for you to find a way to sneak it in here.

I have to say, i would never have really given much thought to a Titanic Museum when visiting Ireland. That is until i came across your photos here on TE.

    fun reference to Charlie

    Hi Krzysztof
what happened to all the people?
must be either really early in the morning or quite late in the evening.

really like the orange tones, the mood, the green windows at the far back and the strong right sided facades.

Thanks for emailing me that photo of the buildings!

for me, the building on the far right is the star of the show. it reall ydoes stand out well, and i like how its almost facing us yet we know its a side profile view.

not the best of light as you mentioned, but still attractive and a well managed scene.
    a job well done

    its another wow from me!
you're shots have re-inspired my desire to visit Norway and its northern towns.

    Hi Gert
i agree with your comments about not wanting to test the people's patience in this situation.

here, people are relaxing and enjoying their private sort of moment, having a photographer shooting in their direction could tick them off a bit.
It already looks like you have 3 men staring at you.

another fine cultural image, love the carpeted 'beds' where you can drink tea...i had NO idea this was even such a thing. I take it its still around today too.

excellent cultural shot, fun to view for sure.
    enjoy your day

    Hello Satya,
a simple and quiet composition showing the devastating effect of the cyclone in a stunning way. It's good that you included the cyclist in the frame, he is well placed with the greater part of the destruction behind him. It's relieving to see that the road has been cleared and that someone is moving in this setting with a purpose although it's not easy to recover from the sight. The tonal treatment is superb, the greys are warm and look as if they are on the verge of turning into colour. The workshop picture looks so pleasant and peaceful in comparison to this scene. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

    Hola Maria querida,
I agree to use some Spanish in our comments but I'm not so ready to do it just yet. You can write to me only in Spanish, if you like, though. I hope everything is ok for you these days. I found this picture among the random photos featured on your profile page, I like it very much. You composed it well with the unattended chessboard in the foreground and the people gathered and concentrated around the other one. I like the full frame and the wintry colours, the silent concentration over the chessboard that has brought all these people together. Felicitaziones y gracias!
Todo lo major y buenas dias,

    Hello Stephen,
a sharp and graphic description of the building's façade. The architecture is elaborate, symmetrical and interesting and your composition has good perspective and precise symmetry too. I like the bold contrast management and the attractive tones it's produced. The open doorway and the partial view through it increase the scene's interest. Congratulations and thank you!

    Bonsoir Cricri,
a very pleasant place for a stroll, for spending some time in the sunshine taking care of one's boat or looking for reflections:) I like very much the perspective, the depth, the clarity and the strong, contrasting colours. The blue tones are magnificent both in the sky and in the water, it was a good choice to offer a great part of the frame to them. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello dear Mesut,
this corner of the large city was deserted and quiet at the moment you took the picture. I like the position and perspective of the old façade as well as the many elements and details that complete the frame. I like the contrast of light and shade, the dramatic highlights, the sharp and gritty textures. This place must have an interesting story, it's quite mysterious but gives us very intriguing hints. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello Eleu,
You composed this very nicely with great graphical quialities. The slightly leaning white cross and the white letters balance and match each other well. Similarly there is a good contrast between the yellowish foreground and the reddish hillside. Everything basking in the sun shining brightly from a clear blue sky. The cross reminds us of those who perished here during their hard work of mining the silver.
    Best wishes,
    Gert

    Ciao Silvio,
Complimenti e grazie!
