    Hello Serge,
A well timed photo with good action and fine waves. The orange colours make the surfer and his board pop out of the view. The sharpness is very good considering the fast moving object.

    Hello Chris,
The famous castle is nicely seen through the vault, quite a different POV than the most common one from the water, It's a pleasant composition with fine light and very well captured texture of the bricks of the gate.

It's a simple composition but you made a very good observation. The two red women are perfectly placed on each side of the mainly red bikes. It's an amusing snapshot with a pleasantly warm light.

    Hello Takero,
This is a great portrait of the young actor. The greyscale is beautiful and you have handled the light perfectly. I don't know if his serious look is because he is tense and nervous before the performance, or if this is part of his role, but the lack of a smile makes the portrait more intense and captivating.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

A spectacular view from Hasankeyf. The ruin is an impressive memory of greater days and the river has a beautiful dark green tone. The children playing in the water give the photo a great liveliness.

    Hello Gerrit,
A fine photo where the people are perfectly placed with only the sky and the distant mountains as a backdrop. Normally I would have found wires like these rather disturbing, but in this case they create a rather cosy "third world" atmosphere. The colours are nice and the light is perfect.

    Hello Will,
It's a fine double portrait, although we only see a small part of the right men's face. Or maybe this should rather be called a successful snapshot in the crowd. Whatever their relationship, they seem to express a close friendship based on mutual trust (or so I imagine, this could be a discussion of just about anything). I like daily life photos that leave something to my imagination. With the fine tones of B&W there are no colours to disturb my thoughts.
    Best regards,
    Gert

    Hello Jean,
A well composed and well presented photo. The fantastic painting is placed perfectly inside the corners to the left and the three spectators are well placed off centre. Their clothes match the painting quite well, only the red cap breaks the pattern but in a beautiful, eye-catching way. The curved room also gives the composition an elegant smoothness. You have handled the light very well.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

It's a fantastic building but I would rather have expected to find the Grand Hotel in a place like this. There are so many fine details on these walls and the roof. You shot this from a good POV with very pleasant colours and well managed light.

    Hello Craig,
I have seen similar photos from this angle, but I agree it's not the average Taj Mahal photo, so there's no need to worry that you may not be the first to find this POV ;-). It is no doubt an impressive building and the people provide well needed colors and life. What impresses me the most is really the perfect exposure. White buildings with many details in bright sunshine could cause problems. Actually, the Taj is no longer as white as it should be because of serious pollution.
    Have a nice week.

    Hello Bev,
It's always a bright idea to put something in the foreground when taking a photo of a distant view. I guess that is one of the most elementary rules of photography. I usually look for a person, or several, but anything goes. This was a clever idea, since the fence not only helps us to locate the distant castle, but it also provides an interesting and graphically attractive element that honestly becomes just as important as the castle. The sand, sea and sky (with very nicely shaped clouds) are lovely complements with nicely smooth colours.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Maciej,
A very nice photo of this blue window on the brown wall, brightened by the refections and the partial self portrait. It's an amusing and colorful photo. I didn't see this museum while in Lodz, but I enjoyed the many nicely restored old factories converted into hotels, galleries, shopping malls etc.

    Hello Paul,
This is a kind of postcard at its very very best. The weather may have been dull, but the clouds gave you a wonderfully mild light and you framed the magnificent castle very well with the trees of different colours. The family nicely fill the quota of human presence (and in case they are Korean tourists I don't mind). It's really a lovely and very well taken photo. And concerning your lack of tripod: if you are not a professional photographer, making a living from your pictures, the experience is far more important than perfect photos.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
