    Hello Silvio,
The church is fairly plain and simple, but the lack of decorations gives it a look of dignified elegance, indicating that there are more important aspects than impressing the visitors. I like the mild tones of the faįade and the fine colours of the photo.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Claude,
This is a postcard kind of view which offers us so many details to watch. I can see that there are many places I would like to explore on foot. There seems to be many beautiful houses and a fine view of the river, including the bridge. Your photo has an exceptionally good clarity with fine contrasts and well saturated colours.

    Hello Ourania,
In spite of some clouds it looks like you had a generally nice and sunny day (a lot better than here). The light still looks almost as warm as in summer and it has given the colours of the boat and the house very nice and naturally saturated tones. This is a fairly plain but still very enjoyable view.

    Hello Swapan,
I like how you have used the tree and its shadow cleverly to balance the composition by framing the row of elephant stables on both sides. The old stables look so beautifully decorated that I could have imagined them to be part of a temple. The midday sun is very strong but yet the colours are pleasantly mild and the contrasts are well handled. It's artistically and technically a well taken photo.

This is a very neatly cropped photo with a good balance and very nicely matching colours. Among the many fine small details I am especially fond of the straws seen in front of the wheel.

    Hello Eleu,
It seems new sports are invented all the time, and why not? There is more to life than baseball or ice-hockey. This looks quite exciting and the yellow sail adds a fine splash of color, as well as contrasting nicely with the water.

    Hello John,
I smiled when seeing the title, but I didn't know I would be laughing out loud when reading the note. Honestly the note is more interesting than the photo, but of course showing this view with that sign is an opportunity you just couldn't resist. Anyway, the photo is quite nice, with good light and fine depth and the interesting white dots spread all over the field. But of course it's just a pretext for writing the note. It really proves the importance of well written notes for teaching us about the world.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Dwaipayan,
The slightly hazy mountain forms an impressive backdrop to the green hut. This is an interesting composition where you have made this rather humble building look almost magic because of the strong light on the wall. The strong contrasts make the foreground almost jump at us.

    Hello Ana,
Ellora and Ajanta are among the places I have regrettably missed in India. I am sure they are magical places, which this photo indicates. You have used the light very well and achieved perfect sharpness on the statues. It is a very nicely symmetric composition.

Thinking you were still in the Philippines I was very surprised to see this. This is an idyllic view of a kind I wouldn't expect in the Far East. It's a very nice building with a beautiful roof and fine red details. It is nicely situated by the canal and seen from a fine POV.

    Hello Rosemary,
I would call this a technically and artistically superb photo. The fantastic architectural details are perfectly seen and enjoyed thanks to the fine light and sharpness. I think this version is the best, at least clearly better than the most heavily saturated.

    Hej Boa,

    Hello EWolfgang,
As so many times before you found a good connection between people and posters. Rembrandt, Tizian and Bellotto may have been great artists, but the greatest work of art is the little baby in the pram. The father is perfectly right to admire his child instead of the flying babies in the window.

    Hello Mesut,
A funny and eye-catching photo. I remember seeing a similar photo, possibly also from Greece, and got the impression the bike was kept outside the upstairs flat for security reasons. But maybe it could also be an art installation ;-). It's a good observation which shows the importance of looking in all directions when hunting for photos.

    Hello Paul,
You keep writing that this is such a safe and easy trek, and it probably is, but watching this abyss, and the generally wild and rugged scenery, the narrow path and the lack of safety railings I would feel awkward going here. At least I would not like to go close to the edge. I am quite satisfied just watching this photo and enjoying the spectaciular view. Seeing the tiny people I strongly feel the immensity of the landscape.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Jason,
I agree with everybody else that you captured this young woman in a perfect place at a perfect moment and that she was perfectly dressed for being in your photo. She contrasts very nicely with the building and the lawn and tree. This is als a highly enjoyable photo for the fine details of the building, such as the very odd blue window and the signs. I also find it very amusing the the lady in red is about to enter Karl Marx Street, "the man in red" ;-). I don't think anybody else pointed that out.
    Best wishes,
    Gert

    Hello Daniel,
Maybe lying on your stomach was a good idea, regardless of the strong wind. I can imagine that there would have been less of the beautiful nearest mossy rocks included if you had been standing up. The sunny foreground really creates a fine contrast to the shaded and rather rugged looking area further back. That part is fascinating, but it looks a bit creepy, like from a fantasy movie (and I would not be surprised if it has been used by film-makers, who seem to be drawn to Iceland in increasing numbers).
    Best regards,
    Gert

    Hello Carlo,
I like how you have split this composition in two halves, one bright and colourful, the other one shady and grey. The stairway creates a fine diagonal with people. The "new old" houses are beautiful and I like the inclusion of the grey haired man standing with his back towards us opposite the green building. The colours and the brightness are excellent.

    Hello Piotr,
This is mainly a photo with superb tones of brown, grey and green, "natural" as well as reflected in the calm lake. The majestic scenery as such doesn't matter so much this time. The person standing near the water adds a bit of life and also a sense of dimensions. The photo has a very fine clarity.

    Hello Brenda,
As far as graffiti goes I wouldn't call this the finest or most interesting I have seen, but along with the posters and the general decay it is perfectly well suited for a photo. The strange wall with the different kinds of bricks also contributes to the big city rough kind of atmosphere. You made a very nice composition of this well spotted view.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
