    Hi Gert,

A very interesting facet of culture here, sitting on these "tables" while having tea. What is common for one may be unusual to another, but that's what makes this big world go 'round, and this is a great learning tool.

What timing too, you caught this at a fine moment with the cup raised to mouth and that connected glance. The curious stare from the gentleman in the background (to the left) is also a very strong point in regard. Probably a good thing you didn't temp fate with any further pictures...good thing you came away with a good ONE though, this turned out wonderfully. Tea for two? :) Enjoy the new day. Take care.

    Hi Brenda,

I took a quick look at TE earlier this afternoon and could have sworn I saw a new picture you had posted, but I don't see one now?? No matter, I always enjoy going through your gallery. As I sit here snacking on some dark chocolate, it was only natural that I stopped at this picture. :)

Full of color and sugar, it's got me hooked! lol As you mention, I get a sense of that fun atmosphere from the imagery, especially seeing children and adults alike. The title is also a good reminder of childhood nostalgia. A place good enough to satisfy any sweet tooth, and any photographer, yeah? :) A vivid display of detail and interesting products to scan over...I'll take one of everything please! Hope you've had a good weekend. Take it easy.

    Friendly wishes,

    Hi Murat,

I really like the depth of field for this shot, the focus is squarely on the guide, but there's still enough to make out from the lengthy and converging perspective. Quite a corner of color too, the far right dominates against the muted remainder of the frame. An interesting study here, a good mix of graphism and human elements. Hope you had a nice weekend. Take care.

    Ciao Luciano,

Wow, 3,006 organ pipes...geez, I can hear them from here! :) I'm sure they make a lovely sound, and would certainly be a fine compliment to the charm of this town. This is colorful alright, varied shades of yellow, burnt orange, touches of red, and a clear blue sky...it's a painters paradise. Or in this case, it's a wonderful palate for a photographer. A fun, bright and lively mixture put together. Oh, and i almost forgot the greenery. :) Have a great week ahead. Take it easy.

    Hi Lars,

Glad you decided to make a trip back through your archives to find and share with us this fine picture of Westminster. She's a beauty alright, and this rendition gives credence to the striking visual and stature of this cathedral. I wasn't so lucky with the weather on my visit, nor with the traffic passing in front...you've come away with a clear and grand result. Looks great, and imposing...but in a nice way. :) Have a good day ahead. Al the best.

    Hi Ana,

Oh, this is a delight...what a great capture! Who can resist such a picture, those smiling faces and expressions say everything that needs to be said. So very well framed, quite literally, around these two young gals...and the darkened backdrop makes them even more prominent in contrast. As I've come to enjoy having people in pictures, this is a superb example of their importance and impact when applicable. Bravo! Enjoy the new week. Take care.

    Hola Luis,

Just me, or does there seem to be endless photo opportunities in a harbor/marina? :) You certainly found a good one here, this is a fun arrangement full of detail, color, and of course...reflection. Many of the colors may not be bold and stand out like the blue and red, but they all play an important role for "walking" through the frame. Even the old tires, as unappealing as they may be, add more interest and character to this given setting. Always good to see and learn of places off the beaten track too, a nice compliment to the region. Enjoy the new day ahead. Take care.

    Salut Cricri,

Love this side by side composition, what a great visual effect...I don't know where to look first!? :) My eyes want to see the crashing waves, but are also drawn towards the distance with this incredible patterned and converging perspective. This is a brilliant arrangement, it really makes one stop and analyze everything put together here. It's casual, fun and well thought out...and hey, there's also plenty of sunshine! :) I guess if you're not getting any chez toi, you can always take a look back on your pictures for a good reminder. lol Wishing you a happy Monday my friend from afar. Ciao.

    Hey Craig,

Oh man, I hate to start out like this, I feel for ya'...your Titans can't seem to catch a break. Geez!?

Anyway, on to something that will always bring a smile to your face, recollections of a fun trip and so many cool pics to remember it by! Love these old beaters roaming the streets, and I'd think you wouldn't have to wait too long anywhere around for one to roll on by and pose for your camera. :)

I'm a sucker for the tourist trap attractions, but I'd much rather catch these types of real life, every day scenes...these are the ones that convey reality and life as it exists. A title to match the imagery succinctly!

And how great that you came away with a red car to go against the backdrop of neutral colors, it takes center stage, but your composition doesn't make it overpowering. Awesome WS too, the shadowed "cage" is a cool effect. Just another day on the streets, well done! Have a great day ahead. Take it easy.

    Cheers from PHX,

    Jason

    Hey there ya' chimp,

The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Love the title, breaking through and clearing the skies with these shards of glass and steel like an ice breaker on the winter seas. With all of the warm sunlight in your pictures recently, I'm not really buying the theory of rain in London...I think it's just a big myth! :)

Man, what a break neck view, another strain on that muscle. (Eaaaasy there big fella' :P) Graphic, geometric and fantastic, love what you've done here again to be creative with these inanimate, man-made structures that grace the skyline...or puncture it in this case. And what's that along the top of the frame, on the left...a couple of space ships posing as a lamp post?? They would certainly fit into this futuristic kind of imagery. Beam me up Scotty, let's fly! Into the future....well, tomorrow anyway!? :) Have a good one B. Take it easy.

    Bonsoir Serge,

A very interesting image, one that took me a moment to figure out. I like the effect these illuminated birds possess in this darkened composition. A wonderful take on the late evening, the touch of blue in the background is just enough to invite curiosity to the natural outdoor setting. An "electric" image. :) A fun and intriguing display which has translated well to picture. Bonne semaine. All the best.

    Hola Angel,

Happy to see another scene from this square, i remember the first one well. With the young boys in the foreground, there's a sense of activity to help fill the open space. As with the previous image, this one is also perfectly exposed under the bright sun, all of the details and colors have been retained successfully. That blue sky is something everyone wishes for, and why not...it represents warmth and an easy welcoming attitude. Enjoy the new week. Take care.

    Hi Gosia,

The reflections pretty much steal the show here, and deservedly so, but it's the fade in the sky that really grabs my attention...that's a smooth transition of the blue hour. The cathedral is obviously the main attraction and subject, but there are so many other little details here that come together and form a compelling result. Very well done, good to have you back again. Don't be such a stranger, eh? :) Have a great week ahead. All the best.

Thanks for taking us down on the pitch, but don't you think we'd have a better chance of stopping a goal if we were in front of the net?? :)

Ahh, love this display of youthful play and activity, three's a great sense of younger days when life was much simpler....like when I actually had enough energy to get out and play a game or two!? lol

A fun, and even a bit of an unexpected surprise in your collection. I really like how you've tied in a previous picture, showing us the windmills that line the hill tops in the distance. Always an interesting and aesthetic journey through your region. Now, I'm tired just looking at these kids running around, I better go and get some rest. :) have a great day. Take care.

    Hi Noel,

I wish you could here me clapping in admiration, you've given us yet another new take from this monument. Bravo good sir! Your creativity in composition for an oft photographed subject continues to impress. What's really great is the fact you have limited perspectives from ground level, and yet, you come up with more. :)

Loving the black & white here, it gives off a art gallery kind of presentation. The serpent does not appear pleased, she better not lose grip...apparently not much of a snake charmer, no? ha

Deep contrast and subtle highlights give this some good power and elegance. here's to keeping that reptile at a distance! :) Have a good one. take it easy.

I think this one has now become my favorite from your national park series. A stunning vista, the colors are intense but natural, and the clarity and detail makes it all the more aesthetic. Bonjour Edward,

I like this concept, and what you've done with it here. I've taken a similar style picture of some wicker chairs at an outdoor cafe in Antibes, but this display of silver really shines. (pun intended. :)) For a shallow depth of field, there's a good graphic impact from this composition. And best of all, you have that touch of contrast in color from the tabletop reflection. Simplicities best! Smart realization. bonne semaine. Take care.
