    Hello Giovanni,
a very interesting face that you exalted through effective tight framing, vibrant monochrome and graphic sharpness. The eyes are intense and the rim of the hat makes a superb natural frame too. I like the glint in the eyes and the bokeh, the gentleman's face is a fascinating territory to explore. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello Daniel,
charming and interesting are the first words that come to my mind after observing your picture for a while. You chose a very lively spot, where we get a delightful description of daily life and the urban setting is very characteristic. I like the combination of warm and cold tones, the sense of depth and the abundant details. The people on the bench make a wonderful introduction to the scene. Congratulations and thank you!

    Bonsoir Cricri,
when we observe the scenery closely, we realize it's quite wide and has interesting details and then we turn our glance back to the sky, which has fine, dynamic patterns and the warm tones make it look so spectacular. A lovely evening at a lovely, peaceful resort. Congratulations and thank you!

Ciao Luciano Some women pay lot of money for face or body mud cataplasms...According to those fumerolles, those natural bathes might be inappropriate though because of intense heat and sulphur smell. Nice geologic array that can't contribute to the global warming because it has been active for centuries! Ciao. Robert

    Hi Luciano
haha, is that a man carrying a tripod on the far right, the man wearing the red jacket - that man would be me! :)

effective composition to have the people on the bottom, tightly squeezed into the frame while the large downpour of water comes crashing down.

    wicked shot!

    Hi Rob
excellent post. I always say its important to look UP, but also go GET up high and look DOWN! these are views we don't get to see with our naked eye very often.

what's best here is how the water has turned the bricks into a darker shade of red, i love that. and its funny how there are a few kids spread out laying on the ground. awesome views all around

    Hi Mike
good idea to include the ol boat in the fg, good to shake it up a bit right? and I like how the ropes are thrown around like somebody just doesn't care.

The vertical comp works well here because its easily fills up the entire frame, no wasted or dead spaces here.
I'd love to see this place in person, looks very photogenic.
excellent shot all around my friend

Hello Ike How different is this new model of a light train, compared to the old timers I saw in Lisboa! Personnaly I keep a bad souvenir of the #28 tramway because my wallet mysteriously vanished from my pocket in that car when it was packed with tourists! The new train 'envelope' suits well to the look of the modern bridge suspension. Shalom. Robert.

always a good day when we get to see a new post from ya.

I love it when we can see the shadows of clouds on the landscape like this, thats always a bonus.
and I also like those short stone fences which we see here too. As Bev pointed out, I wonder how this place looks in full bloom of autumn. sweet landscape views which go on for a long long while. thanks for this one!

    Hello Rob,
Here's a picture I would have loved to take. I am fascinated by what you can discover when looking straight down at something. The effects are often surprising and amazing, especially when people are involved, like here. And when the view from above is as colourful as here, and with so much happening down there, the result is stunning. Of course you have also cropped this perfectly neatly. This goes to my favorites, no doubt.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

I didn't even notice it until now, I didn't see the Duomo right away.

and of course there has to be a FIAT parked on the street side too haha

there's a cool ambience and mood to your shot, its dark and its light at the same time. The Duomo is acting as if its trying to hide in secret :)

another cool looking take on city life.
reminds me of taking photos up high in Paris at the Notre Dame. and I know you like black and white, but it would also be fun to see these in the coloured version too.

    Hi Malgo
ah...now I see it! Thanks to the Beta site version, that site is so much better than this one.

as you say, I'm glad you posted it because I want to see more of this US city, we don't see much of it here on TE.

and that WS photo with the long bridge, you should post that as a main post, but thats just my opinion.

funny to see the monument on the right, strange indeed.
    much appreciated city view!

    Hi Ryszard
as much as I love old buildings and history, I also enjoy these more modern styles - especially when you have them IN cities with old buildings. Its a great city contrast from the norm.

Reading your note, its easy to understand why there are so many modern buildings in Trento.

love that orange colour splash, thats important for contrasting the blues. nice shot
