    Hi Silvio
this place is looking almost like an abandoned church, is it?
    do they still use it?

very interesting style with the 8 sided octagon, it looks fantastic in a photo like this.

awesome with the clouds with blue and white combinations.
    sweet shot

    Hi Malgo
love this one, its great to see the Grand Canyon's little cousin haha.

if you didnt' say so, this could easily be mistaken for the grand canyon.

wonderful views from a little but further back from the edge. Did you hear about the American woman at the grand canyon recently? it was on the news. SHe was taking a selfie near the edge, and she fell 400-500 feet to her death. my goodness

glad to see you were away from the edge

    Hi Serge
i'm always amazed at these large pieces of architecture and wonder how they were built so well so many years ago without the technology of today - its quite impressive.

here in your shot, we can see the girth and wide stance this takes up in the city block. great shot to show its power and dominance.

    Hi Chris
Interesting that there are these beach resorts, but as you mentioned to Jean, people prefer to go to the fresh waters.
and that was an excellent note about the expanding larynx, i never knew that.

looks like a deserted island with a disease, no people no activity. its a nice shot though, the colors and exposure are spot on.

    Hi Costantino
I really like it when you post these type of scenes, its nice to see how the towns are built UP onto the hillsides - and it seems like there's always a few hills nearby with no buildings, just like in this scene.

another warm inviting day of weather too, wish I was on that boat. clear and bright presentation.

what can I say? its a very cool shot and scene with the contrasting styles of architecture.
and i like the fg/bg separation, that works well too.

love how the appartment buildings looks so dated and old, the lighting is A++

I guess Spain is known for their beaches right?
this one is very pretty with the wedding ceremony set up to add a splash of PINK. and of course the large white waves crashing up on the shoreline works well too.

you know what this one is like? its like you stepped directly onto the MOTHER ship of some alien race. Oh man, that would be cool, as long as I have my camera with me haha

the best part has to be the area at the very top, where it has that 3D look to it and where the lines intersect.
its awesome from top to bottom, and I like the dimmed lighting too. Beam me UP!

    Hi Alexandre
well I can honestly say i've never seen this place before, its all new to me.

as for Christopher Columbus, its funny how we grew up learning about him in elementary school - but only when you're an adult you learn about how ruthless and destructive he was to other cultures. that was the norm for people like him back then, explore new lands and if the people do not want to come home with you as slaves then you kill them. They didn't really teach THAT part of his exploration!

lovely photograph though, very unique, something new to my eyes

its always fun to capture these water reflection scenes isn't it :)

    Hi Claude
its great to see you posting new photos again :)
this is certainly one where we have to stare into the eyes of another person.
there are reflections EVERYWHERE if we just keep our eyes open for them.

nice addition in having the underside of the hat showing off the circular rings, that helps too.
    see you around

    Hi Ryszard
when i think of Switzerland, Castles don't exactly come to mind right away - but i'm sure they have their fare share of them too.

its very interesting to hear how Castles like this have changed hands and changed functions over the years. Funny how it can be at one point a Prison, yet on the other hand it can be the comfortable Home for a Family - think about that for a moment.

your shot really shows off the Castles Girth and strong outer walls, looks VERY large from here.
glad you posted it, i learned alot even from your note.

the sky may be a little bit hazy, but honestly who the heck cares! when you have a rounded oval bay like this in that color, thats the star of the show.

I chose this one from your gallery because I like how the front of the ship creates that 3D like visual effect.

hmmm....which photo to pick from your gallery? there are so many beautiful ones to choose from :)

I went with this one because I enjoy the green and blue color contrasts, and also the way the mountains form that V shape with the water in the middle.

amazing scenery in the South of France. Pin sharp, clear, bright and colourful, excellent exposure too
