    Salam Abmdsudi,
good shot against the light. My wife and me have been at Xian twelve years ago and I remember the smog in that interesting city. We have rent bikes and tried to surround the walls but after few kilometres we stopped because of the moist and polluted air.

    Hi Bev
not exactly the most sophisticated of bridges now is it :)
but thats the beauty and charm of it right?
and hey, it works just as well as something more complicated.
every time you post a photo like this, a photo thats close to home, it makes me think you live in the forest :)

a charming piece of history thats still in use today, great to see it close to home too.
    enjoy your day

    Hi Will
ah...that was going to be one of my questions - what is the condition or state of it now, but I guess you answered that one already. And santorini is a perfect spot for a Honeymoon, i'm sure every woman would love that!

Your photo has a halo effect or a glow to it, not sure what's thats from, probably the transfer results from the film to the scanner.

all in all, even though this was taken in 1982, i'm sure it would still look the same if it was still here today.

its a great photo to share with us because its also quite a personal scene too. another cool TE post
    cheers

    Hi Pierre
this is the second or third strange looking structure i've seen on TE today.

its not everyday you see a cross that looks like this one, its almost got a strong industrial feel to it.
the clouds make an attractive backdrop to the main feature.
    I'm surprised that I like it :)

    Hi Bulent
this is fantastic, it looks like you took this photo in a park near where i live :)

so this part of the forest is where they filmed some of the scenes for the movie? if so, thats pretty cool, its not every day you can do that.

the moss is the main feature and for obvious reasons, the photo is an easy 10 out of 10. Cheers

yes, i'm glad you posted a shot like this one.
its a classic composition for Valletta.
always hard to fit into the frame though, so i understand the problems you may face :) Interesting how the left side has mostly green balconies, the right mostly beige.
    love this cultural image

    Hi Pavle
did you turn the lights on with the crosses? haha
    it looks like they're glowing.
I would also like to see the church in a wide angle shot, just curious.

you captured a very attractive light on the church itself, its quite striking. thanks for this one

    Hi Luis
yeah, this is basically what i think of in my mind when I think about these Croatian cities by the water.

You mentioned in your note the Medieval times, I wonder what this place looked like way back then. I bet it wasn't as clean and pristine :)

a fine overview, we see the church tower, the red rooftops, the white boats and a bridge. gotta like it in this light.

I agree with you, this does BEG to be photographed doesn't it.
glad you did. and often these little back alley ways can produce surprising results. the man's bright blue shirt, the items on his table, the light striking the large door panels in the bg...so many great subjects here.

always great to see this beast of architecture, no matter what the lighting or weather conditions. On your day here, it was a fantastic looking day. that sky with clouds is the best.

    Hi Benny
for some reason, when we see these school kid photos we mostly see groups of girls, so its a bit refreshing to see the young men here for a change.

these are shots we can all relate to i think, when I look at this, it makes me think back to my own school days. I think i would have preferred to have uniforms - it would have taken so much pressure off to always look good and fresh with the latest clothes. It'd be interesting to hear their point of views.

The one boy is looking directly down your lens, he's fixated on you. fine post, its close up and personal. nice shot

this scene is mostly about the man with the hat in my opinion, he makes the scene :)
I'd like to hear his personal story, I get the feeling its an interesting one. Sweet workshop as well.

I'm certainly no expert on Norway, but I know these are the classic/typical style of homes we often see in this beautiful country. and often they're up on the hillsides like this too.
lovely light and exposure, the green grass makes for the perfect colour contrasts too. looks like a peaceful town.

its always a welcoming site to see these locomotives, we dont' get to see enough of them here on TE, only rarely.

another cool shot of these horses, this time from a different angle and pov, and in less white illumination. Looks great to me still. Its neat to see the horses when you really really look closely at each section that is put together in pieces, and here we can see that.

wow, stunning execution of this scene my friend.
    one of your best.
love seeing the Milky Way in the bg, and the overall lighting is superb. I just want to sit back at this one and enjoy it.
what were the camera settings on this one? how long was the exposure? It must have been very dark in this area to get those stars like that. well done
