    Hi Denis
quite the elegant shot here Denis!
    looks fantastic.
sharpness and exposure levels are A+
really like the turn of the head rather than the straigh-on look we normally see, but thats just luck
    haha

    lovely crop and lighting too.
    well taken

    Hi Noel
well, we have a couple of huge butterfly lovers here on TE, so i'm sure this photo will be a welcome surprise to them.

its a surprise to me as well, didnt think i'd see this one in your gallery!

so butterflies are not too tasty to other insects huh? well lucky for them!

it must be strange to have your wings about 20X the size of your body, and still fly around.
think about the wing size comparison to body size...imagine if birds had wings that were THIS
    disproportioned to their body.

its quite strange if you stop and give it some thought.

wicked photo for its clarity, sharpness and awesome colors.

    Hi Philippe
I always enjoy these bridge photos where the bridge spans across the page.
its an easy and effective way to produce depth and perspective into a photo.
the light is dimmed a bit, but still very well exposed.
striking cathedral in the bg, elegant shot all around

    Hi Serge
funny title, i guess it fits it well doesn't it.

in the gallery page this photo stands out because of the color theme...the reds, greens and light blues.
not to mention the whites as well.

fun shot, very clear and sharp.

    Hi Abmdsudi
love these shots you seem to always obtain.
at the focal length of 300mm, you must have been a far distance away.

    but she still noticed you.
really enjoy the crop, and the red scarf or red shall is equally important to the scene as the colors pop against the darkness surrounding her.

    lovely shot

    Hey Jason
yeah i've seen this postcard shot a few times on TE or just in general on the net.
I'd be doing the same thing, some shots are just must haves.

so how was it seeing Moscow? what was the temp like?
what was the city like? how was it getting around the city? I hear their underground train stations are some of the most beautiful in the world!!! any shots of them?

whats the food like over there?
    I have so many questions!!
Russia/Moscow is just so intriguing, its sort of like a black hole, we know so little about it and want to learn more!

fun shot here, colorful and in-your-face.

    cheers

    Hi Ryszard
interesting that its only open to pedestrians and bikers! any plans to fix or update the bridge?
    how old is it?

the way you chose to photograph it shows its unique style. it easily draws us inwards with the zoom effect on our eyes.

    very cool presentation

    Hi Ourania
i'm no so sure if i'd be standing on the tiny balcony, it doesn't look to be the strongest or sturdiest of balconies!

especially when you see the surrounding walls and pipes being all rusted out! haha

good capture though, i enjoy the rugged architecture look like this.

    Hi Daniel
lots of changes happening over the years with the trams and trains i see!

and i also see you're taking the "Noel" way of photographing the sun, which is shooting directly towards it! haha...he does that all the time.

I actually think the bronze colored wall is just as important to the scene as the rail car itself. both are the same color and both are important/vital to the composition.

strong color contrasts with the sky too.
    nice shot

    Hi Silvio
i have to admitt thats the man on the bike looks kind of funny, i think the bike is too short for him.

but it also adds a level of comedy to the scene too, nothing wrong with that.

another beautiful piece of history with this church.
not the most elegant, but i appreciate its stone build.

I chose this photo because i like how the entire frame is used up from top to bottom.
    its a full-frame scene.
I also like the way the ripples in the water move diagonally accros the water.

there's just something peaceful and serene about this scene...the soft warm light, the abandoned looking mansion home, the charming boat on the far right.

    Hi Ike
a very interesting piece of history here.
so they deliberately tore it down so nobody else could use it, at least that's what i read.

too bad we can't see how it looked in its prime, that would be something special i think!

not much left here today, but still an interesting piece of architecture and history.

oh this scene brings back alot of memories for me personally.
My very first paying job as a 15 y/o boy was at a marina scrubing off the barnicals off of dry docked boats just like you have pictured here.

it was a dirty job but somebody had to do it.
