    Hi Agnes
this surely looks like a place i'd want to visit some day.

looks like there are many architecture shots to be taken advantage of here.

funny to see the lone red slice of color on the facade, i wonder if most buildings here are in that muted concrete grey color.

looking forward to seeing more shots of this town if you have them. great start

    Hi Frank
    awesome shot.
its not too often we get to see a photo of the inside staircase in a Lighthouse - hardly ever.

i guess an elevator would be more convienent in the every day sense, but maintenence would be so difficult.

fun and interesting post, really enjoy it

    Hi Krzysztof
at first glance i don't recognize the building in Gdansk. I thought perhaps i would have.

a simple but effective style of composition with the tall vertical frame being the best way to show this off.

a well balanced scene overall with good textures.
    enjoy your day

    Hi Jean
this is the famous castle we have seen many time from our te friend Noel, who lives in Ireland.

its an amazing story with parts of the castle crumbling into the water below, and now there's a reported ghost that haunts the site.

lovely photo, with excellent light and colors.
    well composed

these 11 monks are providing you with an easy photo opp! haha

its hard to notice it at first, but that large long skinny boat is such a charming subject.

easy to miss it because its the same color as the surrounding rocks.

a fine grab shot, you took advantage of the situation quite well.

    Hi Ryszard
    wow, now that's a building!
well, maybe it has survived all these years because it's not 100% made out of wood.

the yellow color suggests the owners/operators really want the town hall to stand out in a crowd.

yet, I also see many other bright colors in the bg too.
this is a very very strange building, but i like it for its character.

    lots to like here
    thanks for this one

    Hi Ana
there are only 3 pages worth of phots of this city in TE, and only 2 or 3 photos of this large Mosque!

I wonder why there have been so few posted here.

without a doubt your post today is the best of the Mosque. I'd love to see more of it.

the pale blue colors are famous in some of the Indian cities, nice to see it here too.
the clouds fill out the frame nicely.

yes, i do enjoy the view :)

that beach is small, but so busy, crowded and popular.

    sweet subject!
I know most people would not agree with me, but this really is a beautiful subject - you just have to see past the adandonement.

    Hi Serge
as a child, and still as an adult, i've always been fascinated about bridges.

the amount of engineering that goes into each bridge, large or small, is quite enormous.

its easy to see how this bridge would have been built, with the cement pillars first being grounded one by one, then the decks being connected along the top.

excellent bridge span. really like it

well, i can honestly say that i have never heard of this place.

its cool to see the huts snug so closely up towards the rocks.

and yeah, its easy to see the photographic potential even from this 1 view you show us here.

makes me wonder how this place looks like in the cold climate of winter.

a very family oriented scene, bright and lively.

    Hi Malgo
haha...we're having fun with all these continuing themes.
another fun addition to the lady or man in red. Jason has not yet seen my post or yours here. Perhaps he'll respond with another photo? :)

this scene you've captured reminds me SO much of my time spent in Iceland. getting up early for sunrise in what looks like quite cold temperatures.

However, i can guarentee that Iceland was MUCH MUCH colder as we were there in March.

I don't think very many Canadians have traveled to Siberia Russia!! Lucky for you, a great memory you have here.

    enjoy your day

    Hi Jose
Caryatids are such fantastic subjects aren't they!
Perhaps many hundreds of years ago they were much much more common - today not so much at all.

when I was here only a few months ago, it was fascinating trying to image what this site looked like in its prime.

you came away with a fine photo from your visit.
the ladder on the right is a reminder of the constant work being done in and around the site.

    this is so cool.
love it when these old wharehouses are turned into condos. that's what this is right?
basically its a collection of 1 or 2 bedroom apartments?
I'd love to see the insides too.
this is certainly the kind of place where i'd choose to live. I wonder how expensive they are, and I wonder what the surrounding area is like.

what i like most about this one are the muted colors.
nothing is too bright or too oversaturated, and the lighting is soft.
and the subject material is quite elegant and historic too.
