    Hi Will
at 50mm focal length, you were fairly close to these two men, its not like you used a 200 or 300 mm focal length.

and you're right, the hand gestures and close personal eye contact make the scene what it is. and they have no idea you were capturing them, did they find out later? fun shot, good capture of the human experience. cheers

    Hi Bulent
ah...one of your best posts! this is an easy 10 out of 10 in my books :) I'd love to have it in my own personal gallery!

I like how you describe the buildings growing up out of the sand like weeds - smart analogy.

love the hundreds of little blocks/windows, it creates such a strange yet cool visual, its very graphic that way.
the tight framing works so well too. what can I say? its fantastic. cheers

    Hi Serghei
    well this is certainly different.
Never seen this view before of the Bahai gardens.
lovely night shot my friend, it worked out so well.
the structure up top is very clear and sharp, the lights up on the garden add another layer of interest too.
as do the trailing car lights. excellent darkened exposure.

    Hi Mesut
for me, the best part of the scene is how the water looks so black even though we know its a dark royal blue. and its looks powerful too, makes me wonder what's below the surface.
the sunlight upon that water is very attractive as well.
a different but sweet shot of the city. cheers

    Hi Luis
as i'm scanning the newly posted pages for photos, I recognized this location immediately :)
    its Bergen!

did you have good weather when you were here? it rains alot in this city.

and what a beautiful city it is. with old character homes like this, its such a photogenic area. I like your choice of vertical compo, it leads us UP the narrow passageway, and we get excellent light striking the homes despite the narrowness. fine post

    Hi Pavle
we often see older homes and buildings from your local areas, not the more modern types, so this one is a pleasant surprise.

after reading your note, i'm very surprised to hear that this is a post office! wasn't expecting that.

smart choice to capture it from this angle, the highly reflective glass shines the sunlight straight back at us.
    sweet shot

    well captured photograph my friend.
lovely depth and side lighting capturing the doors of these colourful huts. I also like the footprints in the sand.

seeing photos of Florence will never get old!
you can post these every day and i'll always enjoy viewing them. I like how the white building on the right stands out, and of course the Duomo in the bg does the same. attractive cut and layout of some of its buildings. cheers

how did I miss this one in your gallery! this is beautifully rustic.

your choice of angle really gives off a strong visual impact.

    another smart looking architectural photo.
love the way you created this Abstract piece of art, and it really is artistic.

not many people would have composed the scene this way, you have a great photographic eye to capture it. you created something very attractive out of something very ordinary.
    well done my friend. cheers

good timing to post this one as the Oscars were held just last night...i wonder who won, i havn't looked it up yet.

yeah, it'd be interesting to see the exact same viewpoint taken today. far less rickshaws probably, as you pointed out.
as is the case with alot of these scenes, where are the women??? Can you even see 1 woman in this group?
fun shot, a fine one to add to your collection

    Hi Stephen
fantastic, now THIS is what I call a great photographic subject haha

seeing the present condition of this building really makes me ponder its history, its recent history, and its future.
what was the building used for? Looks like the 2nd floor windows are open and accessible, but not the bottom floors.
love the mystery here. excellent post

    isn't this view just spectacular!
i was at this exact viewpoint as well, and its well worth the walk. I like the comment you made about how warm the city looks due to its choice of colour of the buildings - i never really thought of it that way but you're right.

a good change of pace in terms of posting for you, the shot is super clear/sharp, and with so much depth. cheers

but to be honest, with Trump as president, i don't think many people actually would want to have dinner with him!

    Hi Paul
you certainly got here in time, or perhaps at the wrong time...just depends on how you look at it :)

its great that you included the buildings on each side, especially with the balcony on the left. we see such a rustic and yet charming condition of the buildings.

and all those wires, well, it is what it is, this is real life. it only adds to the allure of the scene at hand.
have you tried counting all the people in your photo! haha
