    Hello Silvio,
What a beautiful night time composition with a wonderful atmosphere. Ideally exposed with superb colours and clarity. I like the framing offered by the two lions and, more particularly, the presence of the elderly lady with her stick. The eyes move naturally through the composition from front to bakc guided by the patterned flagstones.

    Hello Rob,
It's a well known but always very impressive view. Seeing anything like this from a plane is always very exciting. The super big size version proves the excellent quality of this photo but is rather too big to handle on any normal screen.
    Best regards,
    Gert

    Hello Abmdsudi,
You give us a fine set of three photos, but I have to say I prefer the WS #1 for its warm colours and more intimate atmosphere. This one shows what happens many times when visiting famous spots where many people want to take photos. Sometimes it's hard to avoid other photographers, sometimes it's fun to include them. It is to some extent like two very different photos stitched together. Even though it is better than the average TE photo it is not quite one of your most memorable contributions.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello John,
Once again you have used a canal and trees to create a photo of fantastic depth and fine reflections. This time the colours of the late afternoon sky are just as important as the deep perspective. The blue tones and the golden light surrounding the soon setting sun are lovely.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Danos,
A nice view which combines the ruins of the ancient castle, the town and its beaches, bays of the sea and the distant hills. The visitors to the castle seen in the foreground are small but still enliven the view. The color of the sea changes gradually from a beautiful turquoise tone to an equally beautiful dark blue. It's a very nice photo, including the fine sky.
    Kind regards,

La passerelle à l'avant-plan aide à cadrer les maisons. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la passerelle et des maisons. La bonne luminosité rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

    Hi John,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The length of the canal is giving depth and perspective to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the trees. Have a nice day.

    Hello Pierre,
I am guessing the picture was taken from the tour bus given the intervening construction site. Never a wholly satisfactory experience but you seem to have made the best of it. We get to see most of the building, which has a vague resemblance to a French Romanesque church. The image is well exposed and has good colours and clarity. Have a nice day.

    Hello Ryszard,
This is a magnificent facade with a slightly funny roof which looks a bit out of place. Maybe the maids, butlers and nannies employed by the upper class families lived in the simple looking rooms at the top. It's another fine observation and a very nicely cropped photo.
Was it just a coincidence that you visited the other capital of culture, or were you part of an official group?
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Paul,
Both photos are exceptionally nice and well composed and it didn't make much difference which one you would select for the official upload. There is one person in the workshop but almost 30 swans in this photo, so I guess the swans won. They create a very pleasant view along the water towards the medieval gate and the colours are very nicely mild. It is indeed a photo very much in the jhm style, but that is nothing to worry about.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Jorge,
This is an excellent composition where you have used the vertical accents of the architecture very cleverly and also included a handful of persons who enliven the view. With some very slight further treatment you could have increased the contrasts a bit and made the golden wall look even more golden.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Mariusz,
It's fairly easy to imagine the Wild West heritage in these buildings. They are better built than 150 years ago and the surroundings are completely different, but basically the style seems similar. There is very little to do about parked cars in most countries, but at least they only hide the ground floor.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
