So often it is so difficult photographing people in these wonderful hats, the light hits the hats and ruins the photo or underexposed and lose the details in the shadows, but here you manage it perfectly!! The details on her shawl (also prone to overexposure) are fabulous as are the colors. Really nice portrait work an I am pleased to be the first here to comment for a change:)

It's still there, how nice to see:). They use them once a year at shivayatri festival. We were there at that time. Gokarn is invaded by thousands and thousands of pilgrims the town can hardly cope. Anyway I digress, back to your photo - very nice of the Brahmin to walk into your shot and you timed it well

Interesting piece of architecture captured beautifully from the front. The composition is pleasing to the eye and technical details aplenty.
Wish I could read a few details about this building in a Photographer's Note, though.
