    Hi Gert
As always... well observed and timed! I've seen 2, ok, maybe even three people trying to get on the same bike before, but not four.
I like your choice of format which enabled you to include the boys' "natural environment" which is the block in the background with so typical combination of atributes: drying washing and a satelite dish. I've seen a lot of blocks in my travels and no block is ever complete without a satelite dish.
I'd read the note to your last upload before I opened this one. It always surprises me that people automatically associate disorder and mess with "communism" and "post-communism". I would rather ask: "Some 20 years after the end of communism and why does it look so awful? Maybe it was not the communism that was the real issue?" And in how many countries that have never had anything to do with communism you can observe scenery like this?
Anyway, excuse my late-evening ranting... Great shot!
    Best wishes
    Kasia

    Hi Luciano
haha, is that a man carrying a tripod on the far right, the man wearing the red jacket - that man would be me! :)

effective composition to have the people on the bottom, tightly squeezed into the frame while the large downpour of water comes crashing down.

    wicked shot!

    Hi Rob
excellent post. I always say its important to look UP, but also go GET up high and look DOWN! these are views we don't get to see with our naked eye very often.

what's best here is how the water has turned the bricks into a darker shade of red, i love that. and its funny how there are a few kids spread out laying on the ground. awesome views all around

    Hi Mike
good idea to include the ol boat in the fg, good to shake it up a bit right? and I like how the ropes are thrown around like somebody just doesn't care.

The vertical comp works well here because its easily fills up the entire frame, no wasted or dead spaces here.
I'd love to see this place in person, looks very photogenic.
excellent shot all around my friend

    Hi Lisa
always a good day when we get to see a new post from ya.

I love it when we can see the shadows of clouds on the landscape like this, thats always a bonus.
and I also like those short stone fences which we see here too. As Bev pointed out, I wonder how this place looks in full bloom of autumn. sweet landscape views which go on for a long long while. thanks for this one!

    Hi Daniel
I didn't even notice it until now, I didn't see the Duomo right away.

and of course there has to be a FIAT parked on the street side too haha

there's a cool ambience and mood to your shot, its dark and its light at the same time. The Duomo is acting as if its trying to hide in secret :)

    Hi Gy
another cool looking take on city life.
reminds me of taking photos up high in Paris at the Notre Dame. and I know you like black and white, but it would also be fun to see these in the coloured version too.
effective views because its a mix and mash of old vs new construction. sweet pov

    Hi Malgo
ah...now I see it! Thanks to the Beta site version, that site is so much better than this one.

as you say, I'm glad you posted it because I want to see more of this US city, we don't see much of it here on TE.

and that WS photo with the long bridge, you should post that as a main post, but thats just my opinion.

funny to see the monument on the right, strange indeed.
    much appreciated city view!

    Hi Ryszard
as much as I love old buildings and history, I also enjoy these more modern styles - especially when you have them IN cities with old buildings. Its a great city contrast from the norm.

Reading your note, its easy to understand why there are so many modern buildings in Trento.

love that orange colour splash, thats important for contrasting the blues. nice shot

    Hi Ike
I know its not 100% sharp and clear, but then again not every photo we take can be right! A few of my last posts haven't been sharp. But really, who cares in the big scheme of things, its still a wonderful looking city shot. These are the views that we don't get to see often enough. and looking at your previous shots, the wheel changes colour which is cool too. thanks for this one

    Hello Gyorgy,

This is a very interesting shot!
I can't help thinking that the guy in the hat, coming down the steps, has all the appeal of a star from an old b&w movie!
He brings a whole scenario with him ... especially as he appears to be hiding his face like an old-time, character spy!
The setting and the poster all add to the mood.

I did look hard to see if he was being followed!!!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Daniel,

I think I have just the same aspect but during the daytime.
It's not an easy shot but definitely an interesting one.
The illuminated street creates a good linear perspective, enhanced by the figures.
But, the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the illuminated dome of the Doumo.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Rob,

You had a very clear day when you ventured up that spectacular building and were able to get a bird's-eye view, even without a drone! To say your options were limited, you still managed to get a very well composed photograph showing the layout of the cathedral and its upper sculptural details, as well as some excellent details of its of its location.
There is no doubt about the scale!

Oh, I'm so eager to go back here!!

    Have a lovely day,
    Bev :-)
