    Hello Aleksander,

Your photos of the coal mine workers look like a gallery of fashion and some of these workers would be grateful to have copies of the photos. In B&W this timeless. Well done.

    Hello Will,

The general composition is beautiful, but then you can't really go wrong in shooting the lakes in Northern Italy. But here the swan is a nice touch as a compositional element.

    Hello Ike,

This a rugged and untouched view of nature, and so close to the road. The bare branches, massive rocks, and the dried foliage attests to the time of year.

    Hello Bev,

I took a glance at this image alerted by your last post. It's remarkable that three of the greatest swings occur 1) around the British Isles and Britany, the Bay of Fundy in Canada, and Collier Bay in down under northwestern Australia. So, evn in the ancient port of Gwin Zegal the locals had developed the technology to deal with the huge changes in the tides just six hours apart. I wrote a blog for the National Geographic that explains the science behind the tides in these areas, Low Tide at Guernsey.

    Warm regards, Bev,

    Hello Neyvan,

Thanks to you we get to see some of the most exotic and isolated places on earth. The snowstorm must have been pretty rough for the snow to stick on vertical surfaces. There is excellent depth of field, allowing the viewer to appreciate the near and fart.

    Bonjour mon ami Philippe,

The beautifully preserved fortress is a model of the impenetrable medieval castle. I don't see any opening, except the drawbridge. I can imagine archers and boiling oil being readied to welcome invaders.

You are absolutely right, this is an eco-friendly car with zero carbon footprint. Do you have any idea of the make and year? The lack of direct light does not bother me at all. Sometimes we have to take what time of day and nature gives us.

    Ciao Luciano,

This is a refreshing shot, a beautiful setting, frozen pond with the birds able to walk on the surface of the ice or wade into the water. The brilliantly lit building makes a strong focal point. I just did a Google-Earth search and found that Cuggiono is just 37 km from Milan. Next time I come to Milan, I will have to see this lovely scene, and most importantly to meet you in person.

    Hello dear Gyorgy,

The composition is first rate as usual. The cleared path is placed perfectly with the woman in red emerging from a snow bank and in the distance the other pedestrians are seen strolling into the distance. There it is the man with the blue jacket that adds color highlight. The buildings are pale pastel colors and very pleasant to the eye.

    Bonjour Clodo,

You captured the moment beautifully with the two young women in the B&W poster collaborating in the reading of a playbill or a map with the pedestrian woman with a suitcase. You are the master of interactive photography, as I responded to your last critique. For such fleeting moments, a mobile phone does a very good job.
