    Hi Chris
Sarajevo, this is a city i should visit at some point, lots of recent interesting history. Scanning the scene, its funny how that lime green bench stands out so strongly! haha
but of course the men playing chess wins the battle. love the warm sunlight striking the Cathedral, thats a bonus for sure. a fine street shot. cheers

    Hi Mariusz
yes, even though i have no idea where this is (i'll check your map), i should know bc its seems to be a popular spot for photographers on TE :)

I think Bev has posted from here as well. its got that charm written all over it, lots of postcards i bet from here.
and as for the 2 girls, yes, thats a total bonus. they add some life and interest, and even more cuteness haha. I like this compo

    Hi Philippe
wow! this place doesn't even look real!!! is it real? haha
what an amazing piece of architecture. it looks like it could fall down at any time, yet its been here for hundreds of years, how's that possible? love how its crooked and leaning.
love the light you captured on it too, thats wonderful.

    Hi Abmdsudi
I know i've said it many times before, but I'm always interested in how many people in the Asian and Indian culture sit like this - but they're not sitting...we dont' do this in North America :) I wonder how it came to be a cultural thing, yet they probably don't even think of it.

and yes, the rustic wooden houses, the colors, the reflections, the attire, the daily life chores...lots to like and keep us interested. simple and smart scene.

    Hi Nicolas
what the heck is going on here? looks like a tornado in the sky or something. those are some very pretty clouds too, sweeping across like painted brush strokes, or one large sweeping stroke. the mountains edgy tops give a completely different form than the soft clouds...love it

    Hi Danos
A rainbow over a lighthouse, now why can't we all capture something like that right? and If i look closely, i see a spiraling staircase on the rocks to get to the lighthouse...thats amazing! I'd love to take a boat to it.

and i really like the lean of the tall sail, simple subjects, but both screaming for attention. cheers

    Hi Dennis
oh, not your typical bright and warm golden hues, but this is sweet just the same. the exposure has that darkened look to it thats got the same feeling as when you think its about to rain soon. The peach is my favorite, its a color we dont' see in builings very often, so it stands out here. lovely compo with the angle, nicely thought out. cheers

the longer I looked at this one the more I liked it. Its neat to see the large bucket carrying the people looking so small.
and i like seeing the cables/wires it uses to attach itself.

I like that you included so much of the ground/flooring. thats an important part of your scene and it only adds to it.

Too bad the ceiling in my home doesn't look like that haha

how do you clone people out of a photo so well like that?
I can clean up spots and dust balls and small things, but not a full person.

the cameraman's right hand and the brides head are in clear focus, i like that, the rest has that slow blur going on. this cropped version is much better indeed. cheers

this is a great Postcard style shot, and there's nothing wrong with that at all, I love post cards :)

they often have the best city views, and this certainly fits that bill too. interesting to read about the various districts of Stockholm...i wonder if one particular municipality thinks they are the best haha, usually that is the case in any large city :)

I like how we all went to the same places in Warsaw, I guess thats expected but its still fun to re-live these photos you have taken and i look back to my time here too.

a wonderful day for photo taking. i like that you didn't cut off any of the windows on the left, small things like that matter alot. the colors and exposure are spot on, and the subject material from this compo works well as it makes a strong impact. cheers

    Hi Gert
just getting caught up on your gallery shots...

I read your critique on Lars' Vancouver shot and the Piano player. So funny...you often tell me how boring those skyscrapers are, but you loved Lars shot - and I do too don't get me wrong :) I chose to use the bridge, and the circles on the ground bc it was different, bc I had posted those False Creek tower sooo many times. Sometimes i even hear your voice in the back of my mind saying don't post those again! haha, anyways just a thought :)

and yes, I agree with you, there's not much going on here with this one. as for ugly, i find ugly is beautiful if it tells a mysterious story - like abandoned homes. to me, this is well...just plain ugly haha. There's a difference in my opinion. its not you, its the art or artist. Looking at the bg, i guess its better to have these things than the plain grey slab of concrete, much better infact, so in that regards i'm glad the art is there.

I really enjoy the WS photo with the laundry drying on the window sill, thats a really good one!
have a great day, see you around, cudos for posting something different.
