    Hi Krzysztof
so is this place abandoned too? or is it just not taken care of? it looks abandoned i think. this is another wonderful subject! love how its placed in the back of the scene with the road curved off to the left. A+ for the house, love the orange roof and blue tint on the windows, cheers

    Hi Daniel
I know this is your favorite type of street shot, its totally in your own personal style. hard to capture it in such dark lighting, but what best is the overall atmosphere with the yellows and blues. fun shot

    Hi Silvio
hard to believe I missed this one in your gallery, not sure how that happened. the atmosphere is A+, love the dark grey blue skyline contrasting with the stone. and the white statue is kind of scary and creepy, adding to that atmosphere.
    wicked shot!!! cheers

    Hi Lars
seeing these shots of yours, it makes me want to re-visit this area again. did you get to see the wheel at night while its all illuminated? sharp and bright, lots of buildings to examine as blue seems to be the main these throughout. hard lighting to control, but you did it. cool post

    Hi Ryszard
wow, this is an amazing looking Town Hall, I wish we had such town halls here in Canada. Hard to imagine this being built in the 1500's thats incredible as well. Too bad we can't see a close up of the Knight up top, I'd love to see it. wonderful shot in this light, the subject is A+

    Hi Jean
I thought I'd go back into your gallery and check things out...and look what I found! Treasure hahaha

this is great, one of my favorite subjects. Neglected is often the best :) and you hinted about it in your note, why is there a lock on this? its that mystery that makes these abandoned and neglected scenes so interesting. love the moss on the roof, the roof itself is falling down, its a great shot. cheers

    Hi Malgo
haha..you know what I like most about this one? its the fact that you take a theme from Gert and make it your own. and it also shows how the relationships we create here on TE are real and meaningful - at least I think they are :)

I like that you included the classic architecture in the bg, i think that helps to complete the scene very well. cheers

nothing wrong with foggy shots and atmosphere, it only enhances the scene in my opinion.

glad they went with the bridge option :)
neat to see the fg/bg separation, especially because the fg is so much more clear and without fog. fun composition, worked out well. cheers

wow, both shots are great but I think i prefer the WS photo even more!!!!

the lady may have been posing for someone else, but she certainly looks to be staring right at you :) Perfect timing for you haha

the color Red is very important in China isn't it, its everywhere. its a large part of their culture. We can see that here. its funny to see what appears to be a broken umbrella on the right :)

is this for real? this is fantastic! what a moment you captured here with his older lady taking a look at herself in this odd mirror out on the street. We can see her hunched back, her old white hair and even wrinkles on her face in the reflection.

    Hi Christiane
I don't recall this place in Warsaw, I don't remember seeing it at all. Happy to see it now though, you present it in a very formal and classical way. lovely light and shadow combinations, and my favorite part is the small clock up top haha. its a warm and inviting scene, easy to like and appreciate this.

    Hi Krzysztof
funny seeing the large stones in the windows, all anyone has to do is climb up the short wall :) I dont' think it would be very difficult to do that. I wonder how it looks inside? and is the back portion intact as well? funny seeing the cloud, its as if the house is wearing a hat. excellent colors all around especially in this light. sweet shot

    Hi Chris
ya these are pretty much going the way of the DoDo bird aren't they, but they certainly do make for wonderful subjects to shoot.
Its funny watching Seinfeld - do you watch that show back in the mid late 90's? that isn't very long ago, but when you watch it you see the characters talking about how they can't reach each other, and they're often seen using pay phones and leaving messages on answering machines to communicate. so funny right!!!!! :)

but I think you're right, these are now tourist attractions and they're there probably bc of history and culture too. fun shot, its like a tall fire hydrant :)

llama skewer...hmmm...can honestly say I've never ever had that before, I wonder how it tastes. What's your opinion of it?
Personally, i'm quite hesitant to try meat on a stick in foreign countries after my experience in Thailand!!!

whats most interesting to me is even way out here we can see a tall telephone or some sort of communication tower in the bg.
thats technology today I guess right! Looks like they use mud or clay to patch up the walls. interesting visual

ya France has just about everything doesn't it, doesn't matter what part of the country or which city...its just so damn photogenic :)

I get the feeling not much has changed over the centuries, I bet this place looked pretty much the same back in 1900. love all the window shutters and small balconies. too bad we can't get inside to peek at the interiors :)

excellent long perspectives and depth, looks like its never ending. cheers
