    Hi Serge
this one has an almost Angelic mood happening.
    the light/shadows are quite interesting.
and the couple holding hands make a strong strong impact despite being such a small part of the scene itself.
lovely photo and pulled back pov. cheers

    Hi Abmdsudi
awesome scene here my friend. smart choice to go with the tall vertical, the boats seem even longer and more extended this way. really like the busy nature of the scene and its an excellent cultural peek into their daily lives. wonderful post. cheers

    Hi Erhan
funny how there's beautiful scenery and landscape all around here, but its the small man made tents that bring the photo life haha.

love the colors splashes as they jump out at us, and the depth is A+ with the mountains. cheers

    Hi Pavle
it looks like a train bridge. and it sounds like it has been through alot, surviving the War and all.

the bridge looks over-engineered, too large for the river, but thats also its charm, its quite large. good to see the clouds and the greenery along the bottom to give it some color pop.

    Hi Denis
this is another one of those wow scenes, thats exactly what I said to myself when i looked at it.

glad to see you didn't block off the mountains with the tower, some people would actually do that!!!

4 main components make up this wonderful scene, well 5 when counting the light. The green grass as a fg element, the church tower, the mountains, and the clouds...lovely shot all around. cheers

    Hi Pierre
    ohhh...very 'pretty' this one.
and it does have the 1950's color scheme going on doesn't it, we see cars from that ear in this same teal.

love the cross at the top, and the blue sky with the clouds slowly zipping by, makes for a wonderful visual.

    Hi Claude
I have to be honest, I didn't think much of the monument at first glance, or even 2nd and 3rd glance! after reading the note i changed my mind a bit. of course i like and agree with the premise, but the monument still leaves something to be desired - but thats just my opinion. I guess what i'm saying is all we see are types of clothing, and a caption that reads the women of world war II. I mean...i get it, i get the honour and the work they did and of course they're deserving of a monument...i just think they're deserving of a BETTER monument thats all :)

anyways, art is always so subjective, can't please everyone all the time :)

but still, i like that you present it to us here, as its my first time ever seeing or hearing about it!
    cheers

yes, now I want to go hiking along this route too. I'd be looking over to my right all the time :)
its great how the photo has 2 sections, it breaks off to the left, and it breaks off to the right. wonderful to have the clouds as a secondary subject too. cheers

    Hi Malgo
funny you say you don't expect many points, because i LOVE this photo!!!!!

this is the type of backstreet grunge and dirty stuff that i enjoy so much, similar to finding abandoned homes.

this is real life, real people, real culture. please dont' think of this as a photo that others will not like. its fantastic! I want more like this :)

    Hi Chris
    what the heck is this???
first of all, its great to see inner city street shots from Australia, for some reason we don't see many - and I still don't understand why.

I've always thought of this city being very similar to Vancouver, but i'm not sure.

I like this compo, its as if the wolf is waiting to get picked up by a friend or something, stand there all casual.
quirky and weird city shot, but thats what makes it good.
    cheers

    Hi Carlo
I enjoyed this one immediately, especially the top 2/3's, the very very bottom is a bit confusing, but the other parts offer up a splendid visual.

it like a maze, its hard to follow all the lines, and perhaps they lead to something :) and of course the white color and the lighting make it come alive, really like this tight crop. cheers

    Hi Piotr
its interesting to see the clear division between the new town and the old town. the Old town is pretty much set into its own little Triangle. I wonder what it must be like to walk around those streets. do you have any photos from there?? this is a wonderful view point with the cruise ships and mountains, love the strong color contrasts and set up.

    Hi Gert
I'm fully aware that Thailand is a different country, but its similar looking, and Thailand was my very very very first venture out of North America - i recall seeing scenes exactly like this one and I was pretty much shocked! I was young and travel naive, so needless to say it was an eye opener for me.

Its hard to imagine living in such conditions on the water like that. I recall seeing people peeing and pooing in the water from their front door/balcony...my goodness.

having said all that, with all those memories popping up, your hotel room couldn't be much closer to all the action.
you basically have a front row seat. good lighting, no monsoon rains, worked out well on this day.
    cheers

and once again, its vital we have the WS photo to put everything into perspective here.

this is a pretty neat little design pattern, its as if someone is playing checkers haha
very cool colors, its a color scheme we don't see very often and its quite striking.

we have a very similar looking bridge here in Vancouver, same design and look, just not as long.

Not sure if thats an actual beach or just a waterfront, lets hope its not a beach haha. even at this far away distance the bridge is quite large. the clouds add a great secondary subject, as do the mountains. lovely. cheers

so did you purchase anything from him? sounds like you didn't haha

your notes always contain interesting info about NY. interesting to read that they can no longer own their own business but have to rent it out.

and i think i'd be pretty bored here too.
