    Hi Luciano
yes, its like being back in havana again, and i love it.
its funny, we try not to have any disturbing elements in our photos, but sometimes its fun to have MANY disturbing elements , like in this one.

now you're making me hungry for Pizza too! haha

    Hi Jean
well, I can honestly say I haven't seen these on TE before, so that makes them that much more interesting.

at first glance it has the shape and appearance of old fortress walls surrounding a city, or perhaps a Castle - boy was I wrong!

an educational post for me today :)
and there's nothing wrong with that.
    excellent post

    Hi Kari
even before looking at your gallery page i guessed your newest post would have a transportation theme :)
    and I was right!

interesting facts and figures to go along with the photo, thats always nice. and the day may not have been the best but you still came away with a fine scene worth posting.
clear and sharp, lots of details, and i like the subject matter.

    Hi Krzysztof
i like this photo and chose it because it has that wide open feel from the wide angle lens.

the angles of the church come across so well, its strong lines and corners easily seen.

love the blue and white sky, thats fantastic too. lots to like here

    Hi Gert
I remember viewing this photo a few days ago, I could have sworn I made a comment on it but I suppose not.

hmmm....seems like you have stirred up a bit of a hot topic debate here with our TE members!

i like Malgo's comments the most, I think she hit the nail on the head.

just to keep the mood on the lighter side of things, trying not to get political or religious etc...isn't it odd how the lady with no or little money is overweight, while the lady with money is slim. think about that for a second.

as for the EU and all its countries or non countries, its not something I tend to follow - being from the West.
Maybe its just me, I dont' tend to follow politics closely, so perhaps i'm just out of touch with world economic news and such...Being from Canada, I find it quite confusing, this whole EU, and who belongs in it, who doesn't, all the underground politics and laws surrounding it.

Throw in the recent UK vote with England/Ireland/Scotland...my goodness, it seems life is so much more simple living in Canada. No such rules or votes to belong or NOT to belong to some larger collection of countries which separate them from others. I just dont' get it.

sorry, thats my rant for the day :)

as for the photo itself, i honestly think its fantastic.
the juxtaposition is a 10 out of 10. well spotted and executed

yeah, i think we've seen this on TE a couple of times before, its bringing back some memories.

always interesting to see how the function of buildings change over the decades.

cool to see how the modern buildings surround and protect it, and the lighting is spot on, nice warm colors and tones.

well, you're making it pretty easy to like this one.

    excellent TE post!
    learned alot from the note.
I have to say, i've never eaten horse meat before and i'm not sure if I ever want to - something about that seems wrong to me.

and its interesting to read John's comments about boiled meat compared to roasted meat.

and as you mentioned, this is a very very strange looking building, but that also makes it better :)

too bad there isn't a person in the shot for scale and size perspective, its kind of hard to tell how large or small they are.

its beautiful though, and the lighting you captured it in really makes the scene pop, you couldn't have asked for a better light. very clear and sharp too. excellent subject

seems to be so photogenic, there are plenty of beautiful photos of this city on TE, now we can add your shot to that list as well.

    Hi Stephen
one of my favorite things to do on holiday is to see the inside of Castles and Mansions - kind of what we see here.
its fun to see how the rich people lived way back in the day.

sounds like alot of people walk through here each day and each year, I hope they kept the inside as natural as possible and didn't exaggerate the truth.

its fun to investigate all the subjects in the room and try to picture yourself living here. great indoor shot, excellent post for TE

I think you needed to add a bit more color to your photo John! wow...those are amazingly bright colors, especially in that bright sunlight. you can see these from miles away.
