    Hi Silvio
what's not to like here? the lighting is quite soft and makes for an elegant glow, its quite beautiful.

and the colour combinations of pink and blue work well too.
I also like how the walls are chipping and peeling with paint, that adds some nice character. have a great weekend

    Hi Alexandre
well, you pointed it out exactly in your note, the bright colours of the woman's clothing is what stands out the most.
It catches our attention right away from the gallery page.
and the bright lighting works well too.
Now i'm hungry for some fruit haha

    Hello György,
I must admit I had no idea of Nyíregyháza, so I checked it up and was a bit embarrassed to find out it's a relatively big city. Anyway, this photo nevertheless has a kind of small town atmosphere, so different from the hip, cool and sophisticated attitudes of the big cities. I like the smile of the man showing a plate of simple dödölle to the photographer, and the elderly lady who busies herself with the cooking so she won't have to look into the camera.. It's kind of nerdy but nice. The inclusion of the photographer is good for the composition and also gives me this feeling of watching small town small events becoming big news. (I have also spent some time covering small suburban news). As for the WS of the statue, were the two girls aware of your camera and too shy to face you?
    Best wishes,
    Gert

    Hi Piotr
your landscape shots are great to view, this one is no different.

it almost looks like the landscapes you'll see in the south western states of America.

the colours are beautiful, but so are the angular lines and the way they shoot across the frame. nice shot

    Hi Angel
so how does this work? is the house inside the cliff wall? It kind of looks like it on the right side.

and its kinda funny how they have some grass area out front too. very charming and photogenic though, its a great TE post as its quite interesting and unusual. thanks for this one

    Hi Nicolas
I don't think we've seen this type of view before of this area, or at least its not coming to mind right away.
Here we can see how steep perhaps difficult the landscape is to build upon it.

rugged looking place for sure, I like the upwards POV that you presented it in, thanks for this one

    Hi Serge
seeing this makes me want to get out and maybe capture some photos of the same subject too, we have a race horse track near by.

I like that you added in the large scoreboard in the bg, and how strange is it to see the name CROSBY on it! haha Is this Hockey or Horse jumping! :)
fun shot, lots of bright colours

    Hi Rob
this is my all time favourite building in NYC! I can't wait to see it again some time soon i hope.

love the close up view, seeing the way the building 'moves' in its stillness. and of course the silver tones are outstanding. Beautiful shot! love it

    Hi Stephen
now what the heck is this???
wow, thats quite the interpretation of the events taken place in the 1950's. But thats what artists do right?
gotta give them credit i guess. Too bad we can't get more of a angled view to see the lady in a better position, but thats ok. This is very strange, but also very cool at the same time, worth of posting.

    Hi Bev
much appreciated to see the WS photo in colour, I like both shots, but i think i like the coloured one more - but thats just a subjective thing. Each have their pro's and con's.
in this one, the preacher DOES stand out well as you mentioned in your note. So its just a matter of personal taste.

and just the mentioning of Easter Island makes me want to go back there again...its magical! I think its cool that new statues pop up here every year, makes it worthwhile to go back time and time again.

and as i've learned from TE, it was a good idea to include those people, its shows just how large the statue is.
    fun shot
    cheers

    Hi Noel
wanted you to know I'll be posting photos from Ireland very soon, probably this coming week.

you do an awesome job of shooting these sculptures, I had a difficult time getting good shots of them...but then again it was raining most of our time in Dublin so we were kinda bummed out.

this upwards pov works so well, but so do the grey brooding clouds behind it. those clouds and the dark ambiance make it so much better. awesome post

    Hello Serghei,
It looks like the port area is on fire. The bright light makes the city look quite exciting. Those yellow lights also contrast nicely with the blue and red tones in the foreground. It's a remarkably colourful view for that time of the night. A really well handled photo.

    Hello Craig,
I had to look closely to make sure the big boulder is a natural rock and not a man-made ancient structure, bit I guess it's just a rock. This is the kind of scenery where I know from experience that it's possible to get excited by every mountain and every hill because they look so pretty in this lush green environment. I remember that from Ireland, although this may be at a slightly greater scale. I guess the road down there is just a track. It's not the local road to the next village, is it? It's a nice cow too in the WS. Too bad she (?) couldn't see you for all that hair hanging down the face.
    Best wishes,
    Gert
