    Hello Brenda,
This is a somewhat unusual environment on TE, but what an elegant room. Maybe that large wall could have been used for a similarly mysterious close-up as some of Rob's recent photos. There is a very attractive play of light and shadows on the wall behind the man, which you captured very nicely. Probably this room was more interesting than the watches, which maybe would mainly attract corrupt politicians and gangsters.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hi Stephen
What a wonderful little sight you have captured with the beautiful jacaranda tree giving you a fabulous natural framing there. To me the purplish colour of the blossoms is out of this world. Your lovely shot from lower and wider angle really boosts the visual impact tenfold. Excellent shot!! Congrats

    Hi Chris
From a pilot's eye viewpoint, this man-made island just reminds me of sand castles with the sea creeping in around them. Can't imagine an angle that would/could be better than this, and what a crystal clear picture and contrast to deep green water is just awesome.

Can't wait for my apartment to be finished so that I can move in..... LOL.

An impressive shot, thanks for sharing.
    Congrats

    Hello Claude,
An unusual kind of wall painting loosely attached to the façade. Considering that it seems to cover windows of apartments maybe there is actually someone (very big) looking through the holes. As you say, the eyes look very life-like. A dull house like this needed such a bright painting, even just temporarily.

    Hello Gert,

The two photos are related in theme. Here the bright colors are complementary and can lift one's spirit. As Beverly (Royaldevon) points out, it is reminiscent of
    • How many workmen does it take to replace a lightbulb? The answer is six. Six, one to screw in the bulb, and the others to turn the room around.
In the United States, we have many variations, by state, by gender...
    • In Virginia, six. One to screw in the bulb, five to remind us how the earlier one was better.
    • Among feminists, fifteen. One to screw in the bulb, fourteen to be supportive.
    • At Johns Hopkins University, two. One to stand on the ladder, a second one to kick out the ladder.
    • In New York, "What's it to you! It's none of your business."

From your photo, I can see that the workmen are much more efficient.
    Warm regards,

    Hello Chris,
I guess the shape of this peninsula is not entirely coincidental. It looks like the kind of design that the Chinese love, and maybe it is actually Chinese made. It's amazing you could capture it so well from the plane.

What a fantastic reflection. The tanker is not perfectly polished, but in this light is serves as a perfect mirror. It pays to keep your eyes open. The totally unexpected photo opportunities are often those that turn out the best, or at least the most entertaining.

    Hello Christiane,
This decoration is amazing. You composed the photo well and exposed it perfectly. I am surprised that I don't recognize this place. It should have been a natural contribution for TE by many other photographers. Personally I never used the Warsaw metro, so I missed it.

    Hello Malgo,
The flowers provide a fine foreground to the view of the temple and the trees. The light is well managed. Interesting photos from the protests but maybe the latest ones are not really for TE. You showed me one or two last week that were more "distinctly" composed, less crowded, that might have done well. I think the protests are continuing for a third veto, so you may find new opportunities.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Jorge,
It's a beautiful gate with six bells. I wasn't aware of this place, but it also looks like a nice street. The table and chairs are quite well included and it doesn't matter that nobody is sitting there. In this case just the furniture does enough to provide a different view for the foreground.

    Hello Bülent,
"Men at work" is a popular theme, whether they are actually working or not. When they are also dressed in bright vests and helmets like here, such working men provide excellent opportunities for color photos. Here they are also accompanied by a lot of red elements that make the photo even more attractive. This picture reminds me of this one which I posted here last week.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Daniel,
This photo makes me smile. I took a photo from the same place but I dipped the camera down to capture the café and the book shop below it, with a different light. So far I didn't consider it good enough to show here, but you did well to also include the fine pattern of white lines on a red background at the top. It's a good combination of people and design and with a very good light.
