    Hello Ann,

This is a little different from the normal sea scenes, there is implied movement such that we can almost feel the force of the water. I like that you have used a fast shutter speed and captured the cascading effect.

It's a shot with great clarity and fine, natural colours. We can almost believe we are there sharing the experience!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Robert,

This is such a minimalistic photograph, that everything about it is pertinent! The composition is excellent, with the different colours and textures following the thirds rule, whilst the ladder, totally different, makes a strong diagonal across the frame. This is pure artistry!

    Hello Craig,

Your relaxed experience at Leknes Airport seems like a million miles away from the minute scrutiny applied at most airports!

This is a photograph that seems to tweak the memories in my brain! I have never been here but the contrasted sunlight against dark clouds, highlighting sections of snow covered land, is an experience that I have had. It is unbelievably beautiful! How good that we have cameras to capture that moment forever!
This is a beautifully composed photograph of differing horizontal layers, given mood and atmosphere by the combination of sunlight, shadows and reflections.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Mariusz,

I'm not sure what you missed whilst you waited and I'm not sure why you seem dissatisfied with what you have in shot, here, for its a super photograph and perfectly represents the character and experience of Edinburgh.
The statue of David Hume seems very grand but is he looking critically at the frivolity of the modern tourists?
I love how your dof keeps the f/g pin sharp and then blurs ever so gradually into the distance, perfectly explaining the focal image but creating a wonderful, contextual b/g.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Bonjour Nicolas,

A photograph that shows the beauty of the Alpine regions with its outstanding features and textural diversity.
I love how you have composed it in diagonal layers, each one contrasting sharply with the following. The focal chalet is strongly placed, whilst the layers create a fine sense of depth.

It is such a pity that your photograph is so big that we cannot view it all at once and can only get an impression by scrolling down the screen.
The thumbnail shows us the beauty of the composition.

    Hello Stephane,

A beautifully composed photograph, angled across the frame with a strong f/g triangle and good guides. The details of the stones are very well captured, whilst the tall bell tower stands imposing and well positioned on the thirds line.
Although the sky looks cloudy, there is obviously a lot of light, giving fine contrasts as the shadows extend across the f/g.

    My warm regards,

    Hello dea Klaudio,
Very nice sunset from Malaysia. I do like sunsets (I have many ıf them im ny gallery) but on the other hand I'm not a fan of them as -in my age of 73- they remind me to a passed thet whic never shall come back.
But ın the other hand your message let me think twice.
Well it's a decision every individual or -in this case- member of TE is free to do so.
But on the other hand, my experience here has shown to me that it's not the best one .
We didnt have any idea about ourselves some 7 or 8 years ago but now we know WHO we are, where we are living, our photographer skills etc.
Therefore my poroposal would be : think twice ! Allthough you are right when you are bored with some bilateral decisions of TE moderators or quality of critics etc etc.
    With my best regards
    MESUT ILGIM

    Ciao Caro Silvio,

The beauty of these Italian fields is indisputable!
What a variety of wild flowers!
It is so rich in colours and natural beauty!
Here, in England, there is fear for the decline of the bee population because the number of wild flower meadows has declined by 85% in the last decades. With fields like this, Italy seems to be bucking the trend!
As always, you have considered the composition and followed the rule of thirds.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

I just love your cropped, close-up of this super shiny car! Your composition is perfect by emphasising the sleek lines as diagonals across the frame. Hello Ike,

I noted that John and Stephen expressed a preference for your previous posting of this scene and whilst it is difficult not to have favourites, the mood here is quite different from the mood of your previous shot. If you were putting it into human terms, the previous is supper time, this is night time; the first you might still have people gossiping on the streets, here, they would all be inside, in the theatre, in the pub, watching television...! It is dark and mysterious, especially with the deep red sky, the skyscrapers towering above and only enough details to suggest where the streets might be.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

I like how you have used the pillars and the potted plants to funnel attention into the m/g, where a patterned, cobbled path effectively leads to the gateway and courtyard, surrounded by those interesting buildings.
