    Hello Dear Carlo,

A fine close-up of this huge windmill, secures the details of the mill and its sails with excellent sharpness.
I like how the shadows add to the effect of the sails and assist in showing the rounded surface of the mill's walls.

    My warm regards,

    Bonjour Philippe,

This must be the very best viewpoint to capture this church. The view through the archway is irresistible and guides us naturally into the interior of the yard but not before we have carefully inspected the lines of carving around the arch!
The details are pin sharp, capturing excellent textural details, whilst the light and the shadows make wonderful contrasts.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Mike,

To me, these weapons still create a quick intake of breath. They are poised and threatening, despite being in a museum!

The impression of Russia is complex, many sided, like most things; some details are true, some exaggerated, some misrepresented, some understated but there is no doubting the capabilities of weapons like this and one wonders about the purpose of presenting them in such a way.
I have no doubt that most Russian people are kind and generous, like people in most countries, but the politicians and the military are the ones that make the news!

You must have seen so much on your travels that have caused deep thinking and huge comparisons!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello John,

No wonder you return to Bruges; it is such a beautiful place and offers the photographer great scope!
Were you standing on a bridge to take this shot?
You have the canal perfectly placed to act as an irresistible guide from the f/g to the bridge and its backstop buildings. The canal itself is extremely attractive, with its slightly rippling surface and elongated reflections.
The buildings are worthy of note, each with its own style and revealing details of ancient construction.
A fine exposure shows the details sharp and with a good dof.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Malgo,

    This is virtual reality!
It's amazing that we have travelled to the same places and taken photographs from similar places! I have to say, Edinburgh is a great place for photography on a sunny day, as your photograph confirms!

We climbed right to the top of the Nelson Memorial (in your photograph) and counted every step, it seemed so high!
There is something strange about the National Memorial, on your photograph, John's and mine, it creates a very 3D impression, almost as if it has been superimposed.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Bonjour Nicolas,

What sensible animals, to take to the water when it becomes too hot!
Three is a fine number for composition, completing the triangle in your photograph. The cows are sharply defined, nicely saturated and their reflections add depth as well as interest.

    Hello Rob,

I'm not quite sure what I think of this sculpture; it doesn't seem to possess any real magic. But I do like your photograph, which captures a wonderful moment between sculpture and the lady! You have captured a scenario! The lady's expression is implying, " Did anyone see me staring at the naked man! If they didn't, I'll grab another quick look!"

What fun to study people, studying art!!

    Ciao caro Luciano,

    Renovations are a necessary hindrance!
Actually, the scaffolding is hardly noticeable in your photograph! It's natural to follow the direction of the figure on the steps and head towards the open archway, and ultimately, the wonderful glass roof, paying little heed to the things either side.
It is impossible to view your photograph without delighting in the beauty of the building and its lofty details.
    Well captured.

    My warm regards,

Ha! Ha! Gert, my first perception was that she was demonstrating how to eat one of those huge ice-creams beside her! Full size, the visual information altered!
Everything about this shot is colourful, even her hair! I don't think a b&w conversion would hit the mark!
But don't denigrate the shot by saying it's nothing special, it's full of details and colours and quite an unusual shot. I know I would certainly have taken a shot here, had I witnessed it!!!

Ha! Ha! caro Silvio, the gaping arches and tunnel just draw us irresistibly in!
You have given us plenty of surrounding details, revealing the rugged height of the mountains, to explain the need for the railway tunnel.

Sometimes things happen as you are preparing to take a shot, which make your photograph more interesting than you ever imagined! The inclusion of these two forms of transport, along with the bridge is superb! The fact that the two cyclists are viewing smartphones, whilst cycling and avoiding the dangerous tram, make this an unbelievable shot!
    Love it!!

    Hello Stephen,

I'm not surprised that you chose to photograph this station. It is excellent with its arches and coated glass roofs. I remember how thrilled I was with Cologne Station!
Your viewpoint has shown clearly the arches, the tracks and the passengers, how they relate to each other and, at the same time, creating an excellent sense of perspective and scale.
I think you would be pleased with a slight tweak of the brightness and contrast.

    Have a lovely Sunday,

You were right to direct viewers to the larger version, for the details are much sharper and crisper in that version.
You have used the layers well, with good guides between them.
I love how the groynes help to create a sense of perspective, running into the scene rather than across it.

    Hello Gyorgy,

What makes this such an interesting shot is the tall, focal sunflowers on the left. Because of their height, they take on character and appear to be standing on tip toe, surveying the field, like generals in charge of an army!
Your shot is well composed and with a good sense of depth.
