    Hi Jasmis,

What Noël just said about your photo is exactly what I had in mind! But his English is a lot better than mine...
It is indeed an extraordinary and very atmospheric photo, thank you for posting such wonderful work!

    Bonjour Lisa!

I absolutely love the magical atmosphere of this photo, even bad weather can't change a thing of the beauty of the Quiraing. When travelling there, a couple of years ago, I found the same feeling back as I had before in Norway, in the mountains of Jotuheim...

As for this photo, if I had to be a little picky, I would have framed it a little higher at the bottom and cutting off the road, but even though... Just beautiful!

    Friendly greetings,
    Viviane

    Howmuch dramatic do you want?

    Hello Will,

Really atmospheric image, brings you back to the time it has been constructed. You can see it, you can feel it too... Through the clouds, with that splendid light, the gods are watching down...
It is so interesting to see how Mike's, Bev's and your view of the same place has been translated in B&W.

    Hello Benny,

Such a nice warm light on their sweet smiling face... I was wondering why you choose for such a tight framing? But even though... it is a very lovely moment you caught here, the naughty glance is priceless! 😀

    Bonjour Bev!

So you have enjoyed Bretagne on its best! With a great sunny weather... 😀
Lovely view over the river Odet, it really is a summer picture and makes me wanting to go again... (Next week to Aquitaine) I am sure Len & you had a great holiday and brought back many French "sweets" like Caramel au beurre salé maybe? ;) ... We know Len!

So you have made your dream coming out... :)(http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Highland/Staffin/photo1421259.htm)
Yes, the Old Man is still there and he will stay for centuries just for pleasing the ones making the walk! Thank you for giving me back my memories of Isle of Skye!
I especially like your B&W workshop, so moody... You can expect to see the little gnomes any moments!

    Bonjour Tony,

This is a really wonderful photo!
I like the tight framing around the two persons and the frozen moment of them doing their work... I especially admire how you got the light on the muscles on the back and arms of the righter person.
And, of course, the black & white management is absolutely well achieved!

    Bonjour Guillaume Nelson!

Here is a wonderful and well balanced composition! The cool blue water sooooo quiet, it looks like frozen... Such a great contrast with the soft warm tones due to the rising sun.
Cool against warm, in fact this image will stay in my mind as symbol for Cumbria, the ever changing landscapes, the ever changing weather!

It was the beginning of a great day! Thank you again for having been such a great company!

    Bonjour Mike!

My last written critique was about Bev's B&W taken the evening before with the wet and moody weather accentueted by he grey tones and see!
The next morning, very early, the sun is there and gives the whole scenery a less frightening feeling. Now we can imagine young girls with flowers in their hair, dancing around the stones and celebrating the Summer!
I like the long shadows striking the wet grass and the starry sun professing a good day! And it was a GREAT day!

This is TE, seeing the world through different eyes! Thank you... 😀

    Hello Bev!

I am very sorry because I am quite late critiquing the many photos taken during our fantastic meeting!
I have just read the critiques here under your photo and I hope your knowledge of French was enough to understand Sergiom's one:
Cela fait assez drôle de voir ce rocher nous faire ce qui ressemble à un doigt d'honneur et ce en noir et blanc. Drôle aussi de voir les moutons dans le cadre qui semblent s'en foutre complètement. and now I see what he meant... Indeed the third stone in the foreground looks like ... ;) Hi hi...

But now a serious note... I like the gray tones very much and remembering the weather that evening I can tell you succeeded in translating that atmospheric mood quite well! It adds to the mysterious feeling you can get thinking of the history behind those circles of stones. Very well achieved!

    Friendly greetings,
    Viviane

Such a well balanced composition! Whether you are a photographer or a painter, this landscape is so well framed and composed! Every detail rocks!

    Bonjour Mariusz!
I am quite late with my critique, sorry... We are just one week back and I had more to do than I thought! ;)

This will stay a special memory for Chris and me because our first day with all of you was just great! And this moment at the Ashness Bridge will get a symbolic meaning too...
Very nice point of view and having succeeded in avoiding the "people" walking around is quite an achievement! :)
Just like Will already wrote, the bright green ferns in the foreground are beautifully set in the composition. Very well done!

    Bonjour Sothy,

For me this photo is one of the most beautiful I have seen on TrekEarth for a long time...

The composition "rocks", the delicate black&white, the soft blur of the bokeh on the right is atmosferic and the lovely young lady has a gorgeous gaze...
    Everything works! Congratulations!

    Hi Jean,

Now this looks like a great place to set our caravan next Summer! :)
I very much like this soft light on the Lake, it reminds me of our travels through Sweden. Maybe the framing could have been a bit tighter at the bottom of the photo but it also gives a sense of depth to the composition, like we could just walk into the image...

    Hello Mariusz,

Maybe something we shouldn't miss? Such a marvellous point of view here...
It is very nice to get so much sharpness on so many details of the city architecture. It would be a great postcard and I mean this in the right way because I just love postcards... :)
