A very beautiful composition with the distorted reflections in a puddle of colorful buildings. The piece of paper floating in the immediately becomes eye catching.

    Hello Sven,

The half-timbered houses framed by the branches makes a first rate photo. Indeed, the scene is reminiscent of a model village. It is a sharp, colorful and well exposed photo.

    Hello Jan,

This is a lovely photo, that I regret not taking years ago when I climbed the heights of Geirangefjord. I didn't know about the tradition visitors leaving their marks and the declaration, "I was here!" A very sharp and well composed view of a simple scene.

    Bonsoir Jean Claude,

This is a magnificent shot from the "land of castles and bridges," as it was described to me when I flew on Luxair Airlines and made an overnight stopover in Luxemburg. You've chosen a wise vertical format to accentuate the verticality of the scene. The light, colors and resolution are first rate.

    Hello Angel,

This is a most alluring scene from the marina in Porto do Barqueiro, the small fishing boats anchored or tied down. The colors are vibrant. Judging by the stains on the walls, the tide must vary quite a bit here.

    Hello Ricardo,

This shop presents an eye catching vision, with the sculptured motorbike (the front wheel appears to be created from bent wood, or is it molded). The colors are vivid, and the entire image is as sharp as obsidian glass.

    Hello John,

Your research paid of handsomely, allowing you to catch Fabienne Borget in an encore. It's an excellent shot, well illuminated and exceptionally sharp. It seems as if you are viewing the performance from a lower tier box in the opera house Covent Gardens. I enjoyed reading your note.

    Hello Murat Bey,

This is a well composed shot that captures the moment from the Dr. Seuss Landing very effectively. The rich colors and the high resolution are on display here, with a clear message that the quality of digital images really has caught up and perhaps surpassed analogue slides. Is the Nikon D7000 new in your photo arsenal, or have you had it for awhile?

    Witaj Aleksander,

I like the graphism in eye catching, especially the "X." It would have also been interesting, if you had made this a time exposure, keeping the escalator in perfect focus, while a few riders were seen blurred on the escalator.

    Hello Constantino,

With the rugged stones everywhere, on the street and the walls of the houses Makrinitsa must be such a pleasure to just walk around and explore. The flowers add highlight to the gray hues of the stones. Well composed with a judicious selection of a vertical format.

    Hi Chris,

This is just about the best example of upheaval in landmass created by plate tectonics. The striations are all parallel, and orthogonal to the slope of that hill on the left. Fabulous! I've sailed within the territorial waters of Albania, but never walked on shore.

    Hello Ann,

The light is perfect on this rugged terrain, but the focal point is the red cupola. You've managed to put it at 63.8% from the left, better than the 66.6% (but not quite the 61.8% of the golden ratio. I remember when you visited the area. What a wealth of you must have in your collection.

    Hello Klaudio,

This is a spectacular view, with Mt. Cooke on center stage, in the fall in down under New Zealand. I concur with all your observations about the wonderment one feels in driving around New Zealand, especially the South Island. During the week we were in New Zealand (Nov. 13-20, 2014) we spent 3 1/2 days on each of the two islands. We didn't get to see Mt. Cooke on the South Island, but we stayed in Queenstown and experienced that wonderment. We also like the people very much.

As I mentioned earlier, we will be visiting southeast Australia next February, albeit for a very short time. I hope that we can get together somewhere.

    Have a good Sunday,

    Hello Jean,

What an eye catching scene of the reclining bronze, with a Greek Temple in Agrigento looming in the background. These ruins are ones that I have always wanted to visit. But visiting Sicily as many times as I have on cruises, my destination has almost always been Taormina, and just once Palermo.

    Hello Saber,

With a short but informative note, this is a beautiful photo of the historic site. Indeed, the Portuguese, Spanish and Dutch expeditions, "Spice Race," was underway. Of course, the English and French joined it also, and the domination by the West had begun. I did not know that the Safavid Dynasty also began in this time. Have a good weekend.

    Hello Barbara,

With the palm tree leaning over the Atlantic, this is beautiful view from Tulum. In 2009, we were there and loved walking through the ruins. In 2006, the film Apocalypto was released, written, produced and directed by Mel Gibson. The very last scene is on this beach in Tulum. If you don't mind blood and gore too much, you might enjoy viewing the film, both to learn about the Maya, and to see the sites in the Yucatan.

Warm regards, and thank you for sharing this beautiful photo with us.
