    Hi Carlo
too bad the leaves are in the fg, but I can still see past and through them, so thats ok.

this abandoned building doesn't seem to have a way inside!
    thats a shame :)

and it looks like the weeds and trees have totally taken over, which of course is why we see them in the fg.
fun shot, really like it. and you have some very warm bright light too.

    Hi Denis
I enjoy all of your boat/marina photos - in fact i think you have the best collection of boats on TE!!!

its funny to see that every boat is white except for 1 blue and 1 yellow :)

having the boats spread out like this gives a great sense of depth to the scene.
lovely exposure and compo as always.

    Hi Ryszard
WOW! Too bad I missed this one on my trip to Poland!
what an excellent view point you have for this Cathedral.
and its awesome to have the water and landscape in the bg too.

perfect shot from high up, I'd be proud to have this in my gallery as well.

    Hi JJ
    Gold anyone? Gold?

wow thats alot of yellow Gold!
Personally i'm not a fan of such overt loud statements like this, but its just a personal choice I suppose.

as for the photo itself, it works well because the skyline has that overcast Blue/Grey color which gives the perfect contrasting bg.

interesting cut and crop, something different that worked out well.

    Hi Ann
haha, another fine photo from Norway.
I love how the sky looks so grey and bleak, but yet the little town below still has lots of illumination.
the homes are placed in a zig zag type of configuration which is kinda nice too, not being uniform or placed all in a straight line.

and you even have a small little lighthouse perched up in the bg :)

I bet you had an awesome time in Norway.
    fine photo

    Hi Daniel
this place looks quite similar to Burano in Venice.

I guess you said it best in your note, "unique charm"

I actually enjoy the brown window near the top the most, as the windows look so black.

    Hi Rob
good idea to get down low to near water level, i think it makes the water look that much more powerful. In fact it looks like there's a wave coming at you. I get the feeling the water is quite deep!

The Rogers Dome, or Sky Dome you see on the left, the white building has become a Toronto Eye-Sore.

When "sky dome" was built in the early-mid 1990's it was heralded as an architectural dream!

Now, many years later the same building is hated by everyone. It may be only 20-25 years old, but its more like 50-60 years old in real-time when compared to similar other sports arena's in North America.

When it was built, INDOOR Sports stadiums were common. But that all changed about 10 years ago. Now Football and Baseball are played in Open-Air Stadiums, so this one in Toronto is disliked by players and fans and media.

Oh how times change so quickly!

great shot overlooking Toronto, really enjoyed viewing it.

    Hey Jason
yup, its easy to see why you wanted to post this one as soon as you got it, I get that way too sometimes.
Its funny how TE is always on the brain!

looks like the Russian language needs to add a few vowels eh?
My god how to you read and pronounce that sign? lol

Ok, I'm going to take a little bit of a different spin on this scene - just to play devils advocate.

don't you think the girls smile is a bit creepy, or is it just me - probably just me. Yes, i know its cute, but there's just something "Chuckie" looking about it lol
    you know...the horror movie

I get the feeling the girl is planning something sinister!
all in some psychotic state of planing.

Ok, i need to take some happy-pills today. I'm probably seeing this one all wrong! Oh well, just wanted to take a different spin on this cute little girl.

love the blue paint - sort of the old Houston Oilers blue, which of course is why i'm a Titans fan!

See how i included some football into this scene! lol

one of the prettiest clock towers i've ever seen to be honest.

Its a shame we don't have anything like this here in Canada.

    Hola Angel,
I like very much how this big group of straight, tall palm trees rise across the frame, between the building and the shadow. A very attractive element that adds to the pleasant character of this sunny city. It's interesting to see scenes of daily life around them. The perspective of your composition is great and the colours vibrant and delightful. Congratulations and thank you!

    Hello John
this looks so idyllic and I have to admit the algae does add to the beauty and appeal of this image. Have to say I am impressed with the quality of this little Canon camera, which must be a steal at £200! All the more impressive viewed full size too!

    Regards - B.

Strange how this site has its favourites, subject-wise. I had a really successful day at the Tall Ships Festival in London last week and got some beautiful images of the ships in the Parade down the Thames. But they seem to attract such little attention here that I am loathe to post too many. I have about 20 that I like and could post, so may have to spread them out over time so as not to be too samey I suppose.

So glad that you, like me, also have a penchant for cars, aeroplanes, trains and ships. THANKS for your comments - always appreciated. B.

    Hello Boa,
I've read and seen a lot about this part of the world. I don't think I would ever be able to cope with the way of living there but find it extremely fascinating. Your logo on such an important element of the composition somewhat disturbs the atmosphere but I understand your decision. The scene and its atmosphere are wonderful, a simple composition describing an amazing place, it looks iconic, has superb colours and could feature in books and articles about the Steppe. Congratulations and thank you!

this natural scenery looks lovely, mysterious and inviting. I like how the graduating tones emphasize the sense of depth and how interesting and firm each element is, despite its placement in the frame or the distance. Another beautiful shot and glorious colours showing how this building looks quite Swiss-like and this is nicely adorned with bright red flower pots. What a wonderful part of this building and a charming place, a pleasure to see: so much to enjoy and take in which is brilliantly lit with warm light filtering though those frontage. Beautiful architecture and a fascinating edifice so very well observed and captured. Congrats
