I love the richness of the colours here Ann. They are so wonderfully captured and remind me of dark velvety chocolate. The details are quite sublime with the sheen on the metal surfaces punctuated by the rivets. Your note is very good and makes me hanker after visiting the museum.

    Smashing!

Hello Jean - Such simple elements in this shot but how well the composition hangs together and what a stroke of fortune to find this reflective rock pool. I like the colour palette very much; nothing jars and all is harmonious.

Hello Trevor - The misty fall of rain is very well captured in this shot and adds such atmosphere to the image. The small tree-studded island looks wild and unspoilt in its isolation.

I do like the panoramic framing here, it's creative and well balanced.

Hello Burak - In temperatures of 40C we long for cooler weather but I am sure people who live for months at a time in conditions like this would swap places with you for some sunshine!

I like the mood that this shot conveys. Dull winter days where the sun hardly gets above the horizon and the land sleeps under a grey sky. The sweep of the icy river is elegant and fixes a fine structure for the nicely captured details. Brrr.... the shot makes me feel cold!

Hello Klaudio - Your title did catch my attention and while I don't think fog has a sound per se, it does seem to muffle sounds in much the same way as it 'muffles' or diffuses light. As to the word itself... yes, it does sound a little harsh; mist or miasma may be softer sounding.

Anyway... enough of that. Your shot is atmospheric. What I like most is the one white cow, she adds a lovely bright, contrasting FP.

Hello Indrasish - I think that many of the world's problems stem from colonists who split land up without thought. Borders were draw to suit the politics of the day and people groups were split asunder without having a say in what was happening around them. This shot, especially when viewed on the beta version, is amazing. So full of detail, it is an excellent TE upload. Informative and in a well chosen B&W presentation.

Hello Romana - The chair sets this shot apart from the usual seaside compositions. How strangely surreal to see it standing alone on the rocks and I can imagine it bobbing about on the incoming tide and perhaps being washed to the distant shore! Good light and lovely colours.... I'd love to take a seat here today!

Hello Jean Jacques - You captured the action very well here and this is due, to a large extent, on shooting the back of the car where we can see so clearly the dust and stones being kicked up by the tires. You fast shutter speed has frozen the stones movement sharply and the brake lights indicate that a drop in speed is necessary. Action packed, well managed and composed, the shot conveys much of the atmosphere of the rally.

Hello Chris - What a fascinating note; the mystery surrounding Ludwig II has fired up my curiosity and I shall have to find out more about him. If this magnificent castle is one of hid legacy's then I appreciate his dreams and I guess he appreciated the arts and beauty more than the fighting of wars... pity that some of today's leaders are not of the same ilk!

This is a wonderful shot. I love the way the castle seems to be rising upward as it emerges from the trees. The wider landscape adds to the context too and we see clearly that the castle overlooks a vast area of land. Stunning.

Hello Neyvan - The vertical presentation amplifies the depth of this shot very well. I do like the fact that the tones soften from FG to the distant BG and give a real feel for the vastness of the landscape. Your GPS guided route took you off the beaten track and presented you with wonderful rural views. I like that!

Hello Roland - Unfortunately, when we visited Scotland, we didn't get this far north. I would love to see the Shetland Islands. Wild, treeless landscapes and a unique culture have a great fascination for me. Your shot is wonderful. The little croft is hunkered down as it tries to keep out of the wind and what a fantastic view it has looking out across the sea to the distant land. I like the inclusion of the red boat amongst all the natural colours and of course the small break in the clouds allows a few rays of light to dance across the water.

    Lovely!

I always notice the clothes in your Trim Haymaking shots Noel. They underline the Irishness of the photographs I think. This gentleman looks very dapper in his hat and jacket and is surely dressed for the festivities which take place in the beer tent!

You included a good slice of location here which sets the scene for the hay-tosser very attractively.

A perfect composition of beautiful soft blues combined with water Gunnar. What could look more tranquil than this? Even the small boat chugging across the water has a peaceful look and I can imagine a fisherman making his way home after a quiet day on the lake.

Hello Sasa - The wide open blue doors and red lamp invite me to step inside this dimly lit interior. The white lace cloth, tiled floor and simple chairs give me the feeling that here I would be able to sample some authentic home cooking. What a pleasure and so much more enjoyable than a brightly lit generic restaurant.

    A lovely shot!

Hello Dear Takero - We see plenty of firework shots here on TE but I have never seen one like this; it's so original and really fascinating. The man must be very certain about what he is doing here, either that or very stupid! The sparks rain down all around him and have provided you with a superb opportunity.
