Hello Andre - I am off to England on Sunday and I had thought to leave my tripod here in Windhoek. Seeing this shot has made me think again.

What a marvelous collection of light trails, it's eight in the evening and people dash home after a busy day in a busy city.

Nicely managed, I like you way of getting a clean shot of Parliament and adding a feel for the mad pace of London.

    Warm regards

Hello Gerrit - This shot of Kampala has a far less sanitized look than the streets one sees in Namibia. This looks vibrant and full of life and typically African 'organised chaos'. An excellent DL shot which captured the essence of a bustling African city.

Being married to a geologist I have learned to look for interesting rock and geological formations Bev, and these folds are, indeed, beautifully defined. An excellent note describes in words that which we see in your neatly managed shot.

Hello Carlo - Now this is an interior shot that I can really admire. I wanted so badly to get a couple of shots with slanting sunbeams and games of light when I was in Italy but I got nothing close to as good as this. The light here is so well managed and I love the areas of brightness contrasted by the darker areas. The silhouetted altarpieces are excellent.

Top class and very true to some of my experiences. Bravo dear friend!

Hello Robert - I had to comment on this lovely scene. The house is all but covered in rampant green growth and in combination with the shaded light looks quite secretive and still. Contrasted with that the burst of sunlight highlights the pretty garden flowers. I love the atmosphere here.

Hello Trevor - I agree with Stephen; the panoramic crop is perfect for this composition. The frame is well balanced and there are no areas of 'disinterest'. I love the shot, it has a timeless appeal and could have been taken 50 years ago (apart from the engine) I need to learn how to do that cloning business... tips please?

A stunning B&W shot Brian. I cannot get over the amazing detail in the sky or how well it contrasts in texture with the neat geometrics of the architecture. This has to be more apparent in monochrome, I'm sure that had we seen this in colour our eyes would not pick up on this feature nearly so well.'

    Smashing!

Hello Ghislaine - The colours here evoke the brilliance of the Impressionist painters' palette and suit the sun-baked scenery very well. So French with the stony dry earth and yellow sunflowers contrasting with the vivid blues and purples. I love your low view point with such fine FG detail and the lines of perspective which travel into the distance.

Hello Eleu - I don't think I have ever see a full, free-standing view of and of Frank Gehry's architecture. This wonderful shot really shows off the curious, fluid movement he seems to excel at in his designs.

An excellent and intriguing shot where the artificial light shining from the interior works well as it contrasts against the sky.
