    Hello Beatrice

The wet pavements are the making of this photograph as far as I'm concerned. Which is why I'm sure you accentuated the fact by showing so much of the foreground. It's given an unusual slightly downward-looking viewpoint which seems to echo the downbeat mood.

    Hi Rob,
fantastic outcome, and especially at this terrible weather.
Yes it was exactly as you described it also in the North East of England. Plenty of snow and frequent hails, and strong cold winds, the last ones are actually a default here :(
Even today although it got sunny in the afternoon the wind was terribly cold and strong.

I have been to London only twice. First time: roughly 10 years ago, I am not sure if this bridge was there yet, if so -I must have missed it. This exact spot was the only thing I really wanted to visit for myself last time I was there (last Easter) and I had time planned for it, but my daughter got fever :(
I suppose I have a reason to visit this wonderful city one more time :)
This is amazing: this combination of the modern bridge and spectacular dome of St Paul is beautiful!
I would love to photograph it at the blue hour.
Also I have seen this POV or alternatively sometimes one from the bridge itself where perspective makes it feel as if you could enter the cathedral straight from the bridge.
I admire your persistence regardless the terrible weather. This is really attractive! The weather did not stop you! These two ladies added a lovely touch, some dynamics, some life.
The light so difficult but with wet pavement and the tightly covered silhouettes we can feel the atmosphere of a rainy day.
    Excellent work!

    Hello Jean

You've chosen your vantage point very well: Pen Duick II is in the foreground, a very famous ocean racer in which Eric Tabarly won the 1964 Singlehanded Transatlantic Race. And behind her is Pen Duick V, designed for the 1969 Singlehanded San-Francisco to Tokyo Race, which Tabarly also won in her. What stories these yachts could tell... Thank you!

    Bonjour Nicolas,
wow this is really impressive. You have squeezed in the frame so many attractive elements. The yellow field of course adds an extra color, and then there is the layer with the trees, and the forest covered mountain and finally snow covered mountain, with the blue sky on top.
    Wonderful scenery, excellent capture!

    Bonjour Serge,
since I am a postcards lover, I am not entirely happy with the Big Ben being at the very edge of the frame, but nevertheless this works quite well. You were lucky with the weather. Lat time I was there (last Easter) it was raining and the sky was white without any features.
I would love to have picture if this quality taken in that spot. But I don't so I have to go there again :)
Third time is a charm :)

    Hi Abmdsudi,
spectacular location of this pristine beach.
It reminds me some beaches which I have experienced on Maui.
The vegetation is so lush green, so well saturated. And through it, framed with it we spot this little village hidden in the forest.
    Very impressive.
    Excellent work,

    Bonjour Denis,
beautiful seascape. I like the color of the sand, beige I guess?
Nice beach scene: in the distance the marina with modern yachts in the very centre some sort of cemetery for the old boats. Very photogenic!

    Hi Ike,
nice capture of the daily life street scene.
This must be a great area for a walk.
Such places are very difficult to presenting in an interesting way. I remember when I lived in Los Angeles, plenty of street corners where so charming with great atmosphere and yet always when I took a photo of them they looked quite normal.
Here you succeeded with capturing an interesting mood. I like the contrast of the older houses in the foreground with modern skyscraper in the distance. Tree framing worked very well here.
    Very well done,
    M

    Hi Danos,
great reportage. This must have been an emotional moment to see such event. It is also very colorful. The Greek soldiers have the same traditional clothes which I remember from the changing of the guards.

    Hello Craig

Nice shot. But as a sailor, I couldn't drag my eyes away from the yacht, apparently abandoned on the beach. Surely not a proper mooring? With any sort of wind, the incoming tide could easily knock her to pieces on those logs. I hope the owner comes to her rescue soon! Sorry to be so tunnel-visioned about this one.

    Hello Gy

I may have wanted to place the girl a little further to the right, to obey the rule of thirds. I'm conventional like that! And come to think of it, the thirds idea is reflected in the triangular "frame" above her head. It's another strong b/w, with a slightly sad atmosphere, though she's probably texting a friend and is perfectly happy.

    Hi Lars,
while visited Zaanse Schans I had a feeling I see something unique but just after I showed my photo emka told me that she something similar but better and now obviously I see here that there must be plenty of such places in the Netherlands...
Beautiful place indeed, nice repeated motif of the windmill.

Niektore krajobrazy tak jak pewnie wlasnie Mazowsze ktore jest dosyc plaskie troche trudno jest pokazac w interesujacy sposob z ziemi tak wiec okazja do podniesienia POV dodaje mozliwosci.

Wspaniale wyglada tutaj odbicie nieba w rzece -mocny granatowy kolor. W ogole kolory sa doslownie mocna strona tego krajobrazu.
Troche natury i troche cywilizacji w oddali. Piekne miejsce.

    Bonjour Jean,
the yellow color of the rapeseed adds so much beauty to the landscape. The colors are stunning! So well saturated and natural! I like also the sky with the clouds making a lovely pattern. They cover nicely the sky without obstructing the sunlight.
Fantastic composition with the road aspect and a car as well. I like the trees silhouettes standing in the border between two fields in the centre of the image.

    Hello Ali,
snowy landscapes are beautiful and often have a special atmosphere, so it's worth working and trying hard to get adequate exposures (that might affect the atmosphere even more.) There's a lot of potential when we don't rely exclusively on auto. This picture is well composed and lovely, I like the patterns of the trees against the smooth sky as well as the different grades of white. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
