    Hi Murat
It's an interesting looking building nicely restored & thanks to your explanation, the edifice is beautifully decorated, nice capture documenting the site and with the verticals exactly so. Congrats

    Ciao Carlo,
well spotted play of the light and shadow.
The arcades are lovely anyway but their combination with the shape provided by shadow resulted in an even more attractive geometry.
    Very well seen and photographed,

    Hello Will,
Boring studies become less boring with a coffee and fresh air and sunshine. Maybe she didn't find German boring at all, actually. It's a nice composition which probably falls into the category of street photos. The folded umbrella complements the lamp-post and the palm and creates some free space above the girl. You avoided too harsh contrasts in the strong light.
    Best wishes,
    Gert
PS I sent you a reply to your questions.

    Hello Lars,
I don't know what the average Canadian city looks like, but this looks quite European to me. I am sure generally that Canada has much more in common with Europe than the USA. It's a nice street with several fine buildings, a number of red details here and there and pleasant colours. Well done.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Gert

Lovely landscape and an excellent composition, considering that you were bumping along in a train at the time. I assume those are rice terraces that we can see on the hillsides beyond the houses. And your scan is pretty damn good as well: maybe some vignetting and a slight green/cyan colour cast, but as sharp as you like, and apparently quite grain-free. I would love to know what you talked to your fellow passenger about (given that you're a journalist!) and what it was like as foreign visitor to China during Deng Xiaoping's period of office...

    Hello Ourania

An unusual and very welcome photograph, that gives TE viewers something different from their usual diet of postcards. I love the dynamism in Cassandra's movement, excellently captured by your choice of shutter speed. I don't know what it was, but it certainly wasn't 30 seconds! I wonder if TE will ever bother to put its house in order...

    Hello Noel

Now this is a fine image, and for some reason, doesn't remind me of Ireland: on first glance, I was thinking Patagonia... But you've created a very satisfying composition, with the holy mountain offset, and the reverse sweep of the beach cutting across the frame. And I assume you used a pretty small aperture, as you've managed a really wide depth of focus, from the mountain right forward to the nearest pebbles. Nice one.

this is a timeless scene indeed, I like very much the way you structured and lit it, the dark colours and the atmosphere are mesmerizing. Hello Noel,
I like very much the well-proportioned layers and the depth of your composition, the nearest landscape and the sacred mountain in the background look challenging and inviting at the same time. You captured superb textures and moody tones under the cloudy sky. Your note is wonderful too, really useful and fascinating to the viewer. Congratulations on the photo and also on making it to the top, thank you for sharing this experience in such a vivid way. As for the barefoot climbers, there are similar transcedental customs in Greece too, hard to comprehend.

fantastic series with bridges. This is such a change in comparison to the museum series :) So industrial. Although they could be seen as a particular type of art. Art of engineering :)

What a beautiful coastal scenery. I like very much those huge rocks they look so impressive. Their rough touch contrasts with the relaxing mood of the restaurant. The flag is a nice element too.

    Hello Lisa

Never tried riding a dinosaur: must try it some time. Your photograph, with its predominantly warm pinks and oranges, makes a delightful seascape. Great composition too, with the camera pointed down slightly to give us plenty of the dinosaur, and a small aperture/wide angle (I assume) gives plenty of sharp depth of focus. Very nice indeed.

your tight composition accentuates the contrast of the architectural styles, it's sto strange for these buildings to be attached to each other, this looks like a bold collage of diverse facades. Hello Abmdsudi

In many ways, this reminds me of an old-fashioned English pub! And of course the two establishments are used in very similar ways, as pubs are important community centres as well. I love the dark rich tones, and the quiet conversation. You did well to catch this candid moment without the two apparently noticing your interest in them. A DSLR makes quite a noise when you trip the shutter, so I wonder if there was some background noise maybe? Sadly most British pubs have "musak" these days...
