Hehehe I told you it was a long walk! I remember going on a 4 day trek through this bush land, camping overnight, and it is quite easy to never see another human face for all that time. Your photo is stunning, I love the rich reds and greens and you did an amazing job considering the overcast skies. You really are a hypo-puppy, I know this area well, so appreciate the huge climb and walk you achieved. You're amazing!

This is so funny. I'm writing my critique at a coffee shop over lunch and nearly spat coffee everywhere I was laughing so hard. The people at the next table think I'm insane. But the old Greek guy who owns the shop and knows me...and that I'm a little insane :)

The quality of the photo is exceptional, as no doubt you've had to react quickly, and he was on the move. But it is the moment that you have captured that is precious. And hilarious. I love the silver tones and your note cracked me up. A real corker this photo, congrats!

When I win the lottery, this superhero has inspired me to don a mask and drive a corvette, whilst eating Italian cannoli.

D'accordo con te, questi pozzi sono affascinante e bellissimi. Non e' possibile immaginare l'Italia senza di loro! Sempre quando vederli, mi da pensare della gente che l'hanno bevuto del pozzo attraverso i secoli. La tua bellissima foto e' molto evocativo di questa storia meravigliosa, anche se quotidiana. Adoro la struttura, i colori ricci ed il gioco di luci ed ombra. Molto molto bella, amico mio. Non posso fermare a sorridere.

Questa foto a me sembra tre dimensionale. Sono colpita dal forte grafismo e contrasto. Hai fatto un capolavoro con il post processo, dove la foto e' finita piu' come un "fine art print". Sto immaginando questa bella foto in un posto di onore nel ristorante. Bellissima la struttura, la nitidezza ed i dettagli architettonici. Complimenti, una vera gioia di vedere!

hi bev, you made my night with this photo. for long, there have been riots in many places of the world, seemingly somethings are enough, they are all about to change and we are all passing through this threshold of history. for the turkish slice of this cake, i can say, i am really proud of being a part of it. and seeing this message makes me feel even stronger.

wow! what a charismatic guy!
and this time, the focus on every element is so good, we have enough of everything: the cityscape in blur, the silver corvette evident enough to tell that it is a silver corvette, and the captivating essence of it: hero's gaze behind his mask, that eye contact is already the detail that made me "wow" tonight. i cannot find anything to say more (some slight make up still in the WS, what do you think?)

last weekend i watched iron man3, and yesterday superman... from deep inside, everybody wants to have a hero. that uneasy feeling of inequalties in this world makes us think so. would love to have a real one right now in turkey. why don't you send him here? :)

Very strange. In this precise case, the "1,3 sec handeld" has a good impact. At first I thought that the man was a statue. There's something of a human ghost in his silhouette. Very atmospheric.

Svidja mi se ova fotografija, jako je dobra. Crtica iz života jednog monaha. Sve je na svom mestu, mada, ipak ja bih odsekao gornji deo i sveo je na standardni format za štampanje 2:3.

a photo whose difficulty in making can be best understood by putting yourself in your place. bravo!

Fotografija je nažalost, pretamna, podeksponirana. Veći deo fotografije su tamni delovi i nažalost lepota arhitekture se jedva razaznaje.
Takođe po šumu na fotografiji rekao bih da je fotografija snimljena sa visokim ISO vrednostima, verovatno iz ruke.
Ovakve noćne fotografije je nemoguće kvalitetno snimiti bez stativa. Odloženo okidanje, mala ISO vrednost, (npr. ISO 100), veći f broj , npr f/8, podešavanje ekspozicije dok se ne dobije zadovoljavajuća osvetljenost...
Ovde je dodatna čar mogla biti i to plavetnilo neba, uhvatio si sam kraj "plavog sata". Ja bih je ipak malo ranije snimio, najefektnije noćne fotografije su u "plavi čas".
Kompozicija je ok, mada malo smeta taj donji desni deo. Mada, verujem da nisi mogao da ga nikako izbegneš.

These red rocks remind me very much of the Tasmanian coast. The vertical frame is highly effective, the textures and sharpness are superb and you have controlled the harsh light very skilfully.
