    Hello Pavle,
This is a fantastic private collection of old and curious things, truly a kind of small museum. You show us five excellent photos from this fascinating room with the fireplace. They are all very well taken with a very good light.
    Kind regards,

    Hello Costantino,
A nice view from the big ferry. It's a beautiful town climbing the dry hillside with a fine cloud hanging in the sky above. The colours and light are lovely.

    Hello Ourania,
Welcome back. I was worried something terrible had happened. Computer failures are annoying enough but not the end of the world. Just almost ;-).
What a very nice view this is. I think the owner of the cute little boat asked himself, while painting, if there was any colour he still hadn't used, and then he added that one. Maybe it doesn't look artistic and sophisticated, but it is certainly a sight that makes me smile. Lovely light and colours generally, and boats and buoys nicely spread out.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Rosemary,
If ultra conservative Christians had their way and we would follow the Bible strictly, "we" would probably be as cruel and crazy as the "Islamic state". Actually, the Church of Sweden now has its first female arch bishop. There have been "ordinary" female bishops for several years.
As for the photo, there is good light at the end of the tunnel (or maybe it's just a well lit section), which could also be interpreted any way you like. In spite of the brightness of that part you managed a fine exposure all over with good contrasts between the light and the dark figures. The tiles and the line and symbols on the paving create a good graphic effect.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Eleu,
Did you know that there is a small area in Nepal called Mustang? A former semi independent kingdom on the border with Tibet. I imagine this place near Las Vegas would actually look fairly similar, except for the cactae. Wild and rugged and snow covered mountains in the background, and a few horses running freely. Imagine how much one learns about the world through TE!

    Hello Ana,
This is one of the very famous places in India that I have not seen. Unfortunately that country is just too large for anyone with just one lifetime. It's a very pretty view showing India from its nicest side: quiet and rural and very relaxed. The colours are superb too.

    Hello Mesut,
Although several years old this is of course a very well timed photo. It conveys quite well the overwhelming impressions this huge monument must have on visitors. It is also very good even just from a strictly photographic point of view, considering the monotonous pattern created by the large slabs, the depth of the long corridor and the contrast between the grey area and the bright yellow and green screen in the background. I think the inclusion of just one person is perfect. A crowd of tourists would have spoiled the atmosphere, and totally empty would have been - just totally empty.
    Well done,
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Craig,
Did Tosca enjoy the old machines and rusting gadgets as much as you? :-)
A nice photo though. Dark skies and black water have their charm sometimes. The light was quite good in spite of the relative darkness, or maybe it's just your camera. The colors of the boat have a great clarity in any case.

    Hello Murat,
I was inside the Blue Mosque for the first and only time in 1970. Do I need to tell you that there were no crowds of people waiting to get in? In later visits to Istanbul I have seen so many other beautiful mosques that most tourists have no idea about, although they are just as nice as this one. And there are cats outside most of them as well. You made a nice combination of the sign of dress codes and the cat. But cats are not allowed inside, I suppose, even though they cover their arms and legs properly.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Kasia,
My latest photo showed just a nice street, this on shows just a nice family. It's a good photo which seems to have captured their individual attitudes and characters very well. It becomes an interesting photo, more than just a family portrait, along with the note. They probably illustrate the problems facing so many families in this region, where very ordinary inter-marriages have made lives complicated because of political developments. I can sense the woman's worry at being a refugee with her kids, having her husband in the not very capable Iraqi army.
As usual your WS photos are also very nice. Among them I prefer the one with the kids at the citadel and the view of the city. It gives us a little of everything.
So now you are off on another journey again, and you only had time so far to post one single photo from Nepal. You are almost even more hopeless than Malgo. ;-)
Have a good time, and stay safe.
    Gert

    Hello Bev,
I remember this village from an earlier photo. It looks nice from this angle too, very neat and very well maintained. As a tourist I would have enjoyed the relative lack of visitors, as a photographer I would (as always) have appreciated some more crowds of locals. I have a feeling there is a "not" missing in this sentence from your note: "It is a main tourist area yet". As a tourist and photographer I would have loved this kind of weather and this light.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
