    Hello John,

This interior was the most attractive part of the castle.
The colour of the walls made it feel warm and welcoming, a boon for us photographers!
I think we all had a go at photographing this and it did reveal our individual styles.
You have captured the context, the huge fireplace, the surrounding armour, the texture of the floor, as well as the display of armaments on the wall, and all beautifully clear. I concentrated on the pattern of the armaments and I think Len captured the people photographing this wall!
This is a fine interior shot and needed a big ISO to achieve such quality.
You obviously have a steady hand, too, for such a sharp result without tripod.

    Have a good Sunday,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Noël,

We have been to Donegal and still recount its beauty!
Your photograph leaves others in no doubt, it is stunning!

I love how you use the trio to provide initial human interest; then subtly guiding us towards the scenery.
The light is gorgeous and the exposure spot on!

    Thanks for sharing this,
    Bev :-)

    Hi Takero
What a vantage point you had for this scene, the color in the foreground is spectacular, the movement and sense of life is superb. And what a great backdrop too, the architecture and the sky are excellent as well, really nice photo

    Hello Lars,

What a good idea to create such an interesting walkway and it will encourage Americans to walk.

I like your f/g, with the ship sculptures; they are interesting in their own right and create a good sense of depth.
The photograph is very well exposed with amazing clarity.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Jorge,

This is a fine viewpoint, really emphasising the repeating patterns of the pillars and, more importantly, the wonderful patterns of the arches.
The hints of light draw attention to the corridor floor, whilst the curtains bring in a rich, warm colour.

    Hello Ike,

This photograph has a strong sense of place.
The figure, dressed so recognisably, makes a strong f/g, focal image, contrasting well with the second figure, informally dressed and in such a hurry! They make good guides into the narrow, plant-festooned street, full of colours and textures.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Takero,

This scene just oozes life, vitality and pure enjoyment!
The details of the dancing ladies are sharp, despite the obvious swirling movements.

I'm not sure I would have bothered with the building and the grey sky. The scene of these ecstatic, performing dancers makes a wonderful shot on its own.

    Hello Jean Claude,

We only missed one another, exploring Edinburgh, by a couple of weeks! What a pity!

    This is a lovely shot.
It looks like anywhere but the centre of a capital city, reinforcing what we have all said about Edinburgh being a 'green' city.
You have composed the photograph well, the focal building strongly placed, with a good sense of depth created by the statue and further buildings, in the b/g.
The light was very good for you and has enabled you to capture the scene with fine, bright colours.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Stephen,

I love how the tram lines create that wonderful linear perspective and guide us irresistibly to the open archway.

What a contrast we perceive between the more modern street and the focal gateway! It is a real eye-stopper! Almost like something from a Disney set! But, that's what makes it so good!
Very nicely exposed, the light controlled perfectly.

    Bonjour Philippe,

It was an example of respect for history, that the temples were preserved rather than being submerged. Such a lot would have be learned about their style and construction, in the process.
It is a scan that shows fine details as well as a good composition, using the peripheral buildings to funnel attention onto the focal one.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hi Craig,

Edinburgh has always seemed like a green, sedate city. You don't feel that rush of restless movement that is evident in many cities, so it doesn't surprise me that you have felt and recorded this aspect of Edinburgh.
There is a wonderful symbiosis between the trees and the buildings, both tall yet respecting the presence of the other.

I love how you have still been able to show the character of the tall, many-windowed buildings, so very typical of the capital.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

I have never been as interested in shots from aeroplanes as in this one. We really feel to be sitting on top of the world, with this ethereal carpet of clouds, separated by a strip of glowing amber and the sky, with ghostly sun above!
It's a very well composed photograph.

It seems that you can travel the world in Las Vegas; there is evidence of so many famous world-renown sights!
Despite its lack of reality, you have used your excellent photographic skills to compose the progress of the canal and have positioned the gondola well in the frame.
You have dealt with the light extremely well, with fine details of the shop fronts and the reflections in the water.

This is a spot that I have visited many times and I am pleased that you have been able to share its beauty with so many other people.

    Hi Dale
Great old castle, my favorite subject! The red and grey walls are cool and the angle you chose to shoot makes the building very long, it rises from ruins on the outside to what looks like an occupied middle. Really nice to include the tree on the right too, the green is very vibrant and really brightens up the photo
    Cheers
