    Hello Claude,

Who wouldn't smile seeing this charming shot!
It reveals the natural curiosity and innocence of young people!
You have composed the shot and framed the little boy with great skill, whilst the details of the ocean going vessel have great clarity.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Bonjour Nicolas,

You must have been high up the mountain to be looking down on this scene!
You have shown us the rugged textures of the rocky mountains, with their ridges and clefts, and contrasted them convincingly with the smooth caps of snow.
What a beautiful day you had, the colours are superb, with lots of contrasts of light and shadow.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

Colour of the kayaks make great looking combination which works especially well on your tight framing. And doubling them on the reflections is fantastic.

    Hi Craig,
This angle looked familier, and maybe due to that lost some of the wow effect it certainly deserves. Anyway light is about optimal giving stron contrasty result. Exposure is just right, not burning those whites.

Wow, this coffee machine has really special design with all those round forms and stainless steel surfaces. It's sort of rustic looking and still extremely stylish. Good light showing shiny surfaces well. Tight framing is just right.

    Hi John,

Wow, what a striking town hall, quite an eye-catching Gothic design! A small town with a big impact, yeah? :) I'm sure there are a bounty of photo opportunities within the details of the exterior architecture itself, but this wide open and grand view sure makes a statement of its own.

And great timing to have captured the couple in the foreground with their dog, they add a nice little touch...like a family out for a walk on a beautiful late summers day. :) In fact, the people give us a good sense of scale too and aid in the overall pleasant atmosphere of this charming cobbled square. Enjoy the rest of the day. Take good care.

    Hi Bev,

Ahhh, fun to dream isn't it...and it doesn't cost anything to wish. :) Clearly understood why you would want this as your own, I mean...I'd take it as well! What a beautiful setting, and that boat caps it off just right...like a picture perect painting.

I suppose there might be a slight drawback though, the landscaping must be a constant work in progress to maintain the pristine conditions...but I suppose if you can afford the garden, a few extra pounds would cover the "outsourcing" fees.Love the array of greens, which stand out quite well under the muted light. A most pleasant composition and lovely view, keep the dream alive! :) Enjoy the rest of the day. Take care.

    Ciao Luciano,

Quite a big watch tower for such a small town. Must be a cozy place, and I have to assume it's easy to find with this giant landmark. :) Love the big, bold and curved shape...you've utilized it to make a solid subject. The clarity, definition and textures are sharp...and with the clouds positioned where they are, almost makes this look more like a smokestack. lol Enjoy the rest of your day. Take care.

    Hey there Jeter-hater, what's up? :)

So many people shy away from the famous "postcard" shots, but doesn't it almost feel obligatory to have them in your collection. Overdone or not, there's no shame in taking a well known sight or viewpoint, and when they're done as good as this, it just doesn't matter!

And from my perspective never having been here, it all looks new to me anyway. :) Love this plunging drop towards the sea, and although I do actually recognize the little bell tower, this composition makes for a original vista. That fresh coat of paint really makes those domes bold, and as I say all the time, I do love me some blue color!! :)

And good for you to wait out the bride & groom, I'm sure that karma will pay you back in the future. :) Awesome shot amigo, and one which even makes me a bit dizzy with vertigo....ooh, that's a long way down! Have a good one. Take it easy.

    Cheers from the dusty desert,

    Jason

    Hi Lars,

Safe to say, there's more than just a few of us who enjoy skylines. :) Such a classic view here, and one which I've taken a few pictures of myself. Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about the haze, just something we have to live with in picture for the most part.....which is better than actually having to breath it!? Smart timing to wait for the passing boat, that burst of red makes a strong impact, but doesn't divert attention from that impressive city of Manhhattan. Enjoy the rest of the day. Take care.

    Privet Miss Maria,

I can't quite put my finger on it, but this looks extremely familiar! :) Oh, yes...GUM of course, I almost didn't recognize it because of the sun shining through. lol

A great take of this beautiful interior, by far the most impressive mall I've ever seen. You were smarter than me, taking the lift to the top floor...wish I would have!? You certainly found a good viewpoint, squeezing in all elements from floor to ceiling, and using those colorful umbrella's as a nice centerpiece.

The sunlight and shadows sure make a big difference in overall appeal and atmosphere. Although I detest shopping, I could easily spend more time here, and you've made a fine case for anyone else to do the same with this imagery....just keep track of your spending, as you know, it's pricey! Have a wonderful day. Take it easy.

    Hi Murat,

Selective color can be a tricky thing sometimes, as it doesn't always work out as intended...but it sure does here! I really like the result, and how it focuses attention on the wall display, but doesn't detract from the rest of the surroundings and subjects. In an ironic way, it brings it all together quite nicely.

Because of the stone configurations of the street, wall and building itself, I have to think a full color version might be a bit "chaotic" with pattern...this result alleviates what might be overpowering. But regardless of my take on it, this is a fine composition and pleasing viewpoint. Have a great day. Take care.

    Hi Ourania,

What a great photo, its full of so many things that attract me to a place and scene like this. A bounty of textures, color, patterns and overall detail. The kind of street that I could seemingly wander for hours to try and capture every possible aspect. :)

And the clarity to bring out those elemnts is superb, you did a smooth job of balancing the exposure, which is never easy to handle under the bright light of the sun in these small spaces. This given composition and viewpoint also gives us a strong sense of the incline, a natural workout just to get to/from home every day...no need for the gym! :) Enjoy the rest of the day. Take care.

    Hi Serghei,

That "down time" in the hospital gave you the opportunity to notice something interesting that may have otherwise gone overlooked. Like looking at clouds in the sky and creating shapes and forms, this must have been similar to look down and try to imagine what exactly produced these tracks and patterns. :)

A fun picture that lets the imagination run a bit wild, while also making you stop and think...just what could it be in reality?? :) I really like this early start on the winter season through picture, it helps cool my desert hot mind through the imagery. lol Appears like the birds had a good time here, even if you didn't!? :) I'm sure your having fun now though. Take it easy amigo.

    Hi Ike,

A very nice observation here, seeing how the squills fit into the scene and essentially contrast with the hardened textures of the ruins. The bright white is what makes them stand out and dance across the frame, but they're not a distraction. For a relatively minimal setting, the barren landscape has proved to be interesting enough with these elements, that it makes for a pleasant result in this composition. Living in the desert, it never ceases to amaze me what grows in such harsh conditions. Enjoy the rest of the day. Take good care.

    H Gert,

I really like your chosen title, holding duel meaning for this particular imagery. Local "flavor" in terms of personality and a literal definition of product. Always so very intersting to see the diffrerences in food and drink around the world, and although most of us will never get the chance to be here and taste for ourselves, it's fascinating to wonder. I can't help but repeat myself, you have another superb "day in the life" of a local, and a picture filled with details and expressive human nature.

One of the things that stands out to me is the actual glassware, not the plastic and disposable containers that litter our streets these days when one is finished with their drink. Colorfully rustic and rich with cultural context. Enjoy the rest of the day. Take good care.

Lovely little canal, and sure enough, a hint of Venice. :) It definitely has a different visual, but the concept is very similar. Even this small slice of the town shows a lot of charm and inviting atmosphere. Well framed to "pull" us into the distance. I'm sure there are more than enough photo opportunities here, must be difficult to walk around and not try to capture EVERYTHING. :) Bonne journee. Take it easy.
