    Hi Pierre
yes, I hear this little island is quite popular and you can get some excellent shots and views from here too.

You must have taken this photo right when the SKYDOME was new, funny how only after 15+ years its now considered to be quite outdated and old!! yikes!

and i bet if you took this photo TODAY from the exact some location, the skyline would have many more sky scrapers in it.

fun shot, always nice to see Toronto like this
    cheers

    Hi Chris
    now THATS'S a castle!
even by today's standards this is an amazing home...imagine how this place would dwarf every other home built back in the 15-1600's!

nice to have the puffy clouds in the sky too, added for extra effect.

i like the low pov too.
    looks great

Very poetic, calm and tasteful but so appealing image.

    Hi Philippe,

The dual wheel tracks through the forest add good lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective. Excellent sharpness and it looks more like the Amazon than Central France! I like the soft diffused light. The strong back-light has been well managed by blocking out most of the white sky top right by skilfully using the trees as natural filters. The yellow green trees at the vanishing point almost appear to glow with translucence with the light shining through them. Tfs!

    Hello Burak,

Effective tight framing on the colorful t-shirts with sponge bob square pants, Mickey Mouse and M & M chocolate covered peanuts stealing the show. The stylised Paris shirt at the back would appeal to an older clientele. Good sharpness and a pleasant diffused light. Nice repetition of the torso mannequins. I l like the mannequin at right breaking the pattern and facing away in profile. Tfs!

Aha, you were also there! A good upward shot of the Blue Mosque interior, with well managed low light levels and excellent sharpness and diffused light. The intricate Islamic decorations and geometric patterns and shapes add amazing repetition. Perspective has been well managed with the verticals placed centrally. Tfs!

    Hi Bulent,

Well composed with the line of the wall commencing in the bottom left corner, with excellent sharpness. The text of 'The Strand Inn' is eyecatching and makes an obvious focal point. Nice warm cold color contrasts between the red window shutters and frames and the 2 blue umbrellas at right. A superb high vantage point. Effective tight framing with impeccable sharpness and superb colour and saturation. Tfs!

    Hello Nicolas,

I am guessing 'phares' is equivalent to Pharos or lighthouse in English and if so then yes the bright lights of the snow plough do indeed resemble a lighthouse. The yellow color of the plough (or 'plow' in US English) is eyecatching and visible in white out or fog conditions. Good sharpness and tfs!

Good density levels with wonderful warm cold color contrasts between the blue aky and the ornage red brickwork of the fort. Excellent lighting contrasts with crisp clean whites and solid blacks. Bonjour Luciano

I know this toad all too well. From South America it was introduced to Hawaii where sugar cane farmers hoped it would eat the damaging cane beetle and increase yields. Queensland in Australia jumped on the bandwagon and imported a few of them to fight the cane beetle here. It multiplied at a phenomenal rate and ate just about everything except the cane beetle! They exude poison through their skin and are harmful to both pets like cats and dogs, and native wildlife. Any snake that eats them dies although I have read that some snakes and dwarf crocodiles have figured out that the back legs are okay to eat. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-11-17/dwarf-crocodiles-learning-to-fight-back-to-cane-toad/5896738

    Good morning Miguel,

A nice tribute to the 17 victims of the 3 gunmen. Life goes on. Nice to see a composite scene with the piano player, cyclist and ticket vending machine being utilised. Good sharpness and well managed interior light with good saturation and density levels. I like the soft, diffused light too. Tfs!
