I saw this one on your intro page, and I am surprised that I have missed it before as it is spectacular and dramatic. One can feel the power of the water and see the sheer enormous size of it when you compare it to the tiny figure. It reminds one that nature is powerful, more powerful than man. The red of the mans coat makes him stand out so well, and exclamation against the monochrome. Great textures too of the water and the stones in the foreground.

I think that your experiment worked well, and I like this burst of colours and movement, it really is energetic and a different kind of sports shot.

I like this little huddle and the rainy weather adds another dimension to the sight seeing trio. The yellow and blue stand out nicely against the almost monochromatic rest of the scene., and they are well placed slightly off centre in the composition.

A lovely in action shot of this kid finding simple pleasures. I like the shadows too. Good composition with him running into the frame, and nice natural colours.

Great in its simplicity. One lonely building and one lonely cloud at the top of an empty hill. It really looks like it is the last thing remaining on earth, and everything around it has been destroyed except for this tiny oasis of green upon which it sits. Nice contrast between the colour and textures.

I love this one! it is so quintessentially Vietnam. The blur of her vigorously waving hands is fabulous and of course her large friendly smile lights up the whole shot.

It must be a very peaceful place to stay, and I can just imagine waking up to this beautiful scenery every day. I like the sun sparkling off the water, and the wedge of green amongst the surrounding greyish blueish landscape.

I remember this city of blue well from when I visited there. I like your use of wide angle here to fit in 3 of those fabulous doors, and the blur movement of the man entering the frame is great to give a bit of dynamism to the shot. The fringe of the roof tiles added in at the to is a nice detail element to top it all off.

Doors and bicycles are always nice photogenic subjects , so you have found the perfect composition to include them both in, and with that wonderfully decorated ochre wall too. Of course the two kids are so sweet too and add a nice life element.

These two trees are like a romantic couple side by side looking at the beautiful sunset. I like the small boats on the horizon and the sky has a lovely texture to compliment the warmth of the golden hues.

The grass in the foreground, the concrete pier on the side and the mountains in the background form a nice square visual frame around the boat, which I like. There is definitely a feel of isolation and the boats lonely occupant, the seagull, is a nice detail.

This one has a real classic almost cinematic feel about it, and even though he seems just a tad out of focus you dod really well in the low light conditions. His stance the poster in the background and the ambient lighting all add to the special mood of the shot. Black and white was also a nice accompanying choice here. And lastly I love the "blues is art" sticker on the front of the keyboard showing these peoples love for their style of music.

Great perspective lines here in all aspects with the flowers and the train following the same diagonals. Lovely bright colours and the train is an extra bonus for that special detail in the shot.

I like the boat and its occupant in isolation on the water against the city background. I also like the virtually monotone colouring. The boat is well placed off centre in the composition too.

I like the low light from the setting sun giving a nice ambience, and her stance with the bucket behind her shoulder is great. Good depth of field too to blur out the background and draw our attention to her, although I like that there is another figure in the background to balance out the shot.

This looks like it was taken in an era gone by, it really has a retro feeling. I like the various levels to the shot, street level, central level and top level with that bright graffiti which is definitely an eye catcher. Hence I like your vertical composition as it emphasises these various levels where something is there to see on each one. Great.

Another great documentary shot from your archives, well composed to include the scale in the foreground. I hope that these health checks are still being performed these days. I see you were using good old Ilford film, the best for black and white in my opinion.
