    Hi Kari,

Having driven through the Swiss country side a few times. I have come to know and love this scenery very well. I always enjoy seeing the red train passing by. This is a really good POV with the curve of hte rail leading to the end or the beginning of it.

    Good shot as always.

    Hi M,

Beautiful shot and the vertical format works well to avoid some of hte stuff that you don't want on the side. The tire tract from the traffic is not ideal but you use it to your advantage as a lead in. Beautiful detiail, good depth good colors with excellent details.

    Hello Takero,

Another one of your patented festival photos, sharp, colorful and informative. I like the expression of the little girl. As always a beautiful photo.

I am sorry I did not write earlier. I did not know the details of my visit to Japan. I will be flying into Narita Airport on Saturday, but only to make connections to a flight to Kanazawa. I will be in Kanazawa from July 26 to July 31 (I give a talk). The following day August 1, I fly from Kanazawa to Tokyo, and then back to the United States. I am very disappointed that I will not be able to spend any time in Tokyo, but all the arrangements were made by the organizers of the conference in Kanazawa.

    Warmest regards, my friend,

    Hello Kamila,

You've depicted the Yuantong Temple with colors evocative of colorization, i.e. photographed in black and white, and colorized in the manner of postcards from the 30s, 40s and 50s. With the informative note you've submitted, this makes another excellent package for TE.

    Warm regards,

    Hello Ann

Very cool shot with strong graphic with the iron wheels. The background of yellow blossom really give wonderful contrast. I can feel the rough texture of the rusty iron and the way they stacked on tome of one another make it feels like it spinning and moving into the image. Excellent quality.

    Hello Luciano,

Beautiful and detial photo of the Chandelier. the deep blue ceiling almost makes it feel like the sky in the evening that give the illusion of depth here on this shot, espeically the contrast of the sparking crystal on the chandelier. Excellent detial and beautiful symetrical composition.

    Hi Jason,

That is nice that you come across them while they trying to get their own photoshoot. That way, you're not intruding, you're just joinging in for the fun. It must be tough being a cop in NYC, seems to be the city with the most going on. Hat off to them and those around the world who keep things going in an orderly manner. I have real atmost respect for them.

    Hi Kasia,

Very cool shot. I love the contrast between the two men, real and poster, while the poster is so large and the real person is very small. The poster is in formal suite and tie and the real is in dirty gean and polo...I can go on about the fantasy and reality...

    Hi Craig,

You do have an eye for beauty, and Tosca is extraordinarily accommodating! The combination of red-white-and blue is effective, but the obvious focal point is the young woman... a natural model.

    Hello Noel,

I remember visiting Blarney Castle in 1996, but... the line going into the edifice, ostensibly to kiss the Blarney Stone was so long, we left the queue and explored the grounds instead. Besides, I felt I had the gift of gab already! This is a gorgeous shot in vertical format, showing the reflection of the tower in the still waters.

Regarding our upcoming visit on the Crystal Serenity, I noticed that the Crystal Serenity will be in port between the ungodly hour of 4:00 am and the departure time of 7:00 pm. We will not sign up for any shore excursions on board, hoping to spend time with you instead. A shuttle bus provided by the ship will probably take us to a central location in Dublin at a reasonable time (after 9:00 am). We probably will have to return to the ship by 5:00 or 6:00 pm. My mobile phone number is 001 540 845 4962. I don't want to impose, but what let me know of your time you can spend with us? In our1996 visit, among the sites we visited on a tour was Trinity College, and its magnificent historic library. I remember it being lined with busts of the greatest intellectuals, and featuring a bust of Isaac Newton near the entrance. I would personally love to see the hall again. Do you know any other Irish Trekkie well that you would like to bring on a short photographic expedition?

    Warm regards,

    Greeting Stephen,,

As usual this is a beautifully conceived and exposed shot... considering how bright the stones can be in the sunshine, and how much contrast you must accommodate. Where the architect has imbued his work with symmetry, we also should celebrate that symmetry. I might have moved over an inch or two to the left to frame the arch within entirely symmetric with the outside door framing it.

    Warm regards,

    Bulent

    Hello Wolfgang,

As an "old-timer" I am absolutely fascinated (and petrified) by this sight. Increasingly, young people, however, will know no other life... and already regard it as the norm. Recently, sitting on a shuttle bus riding from the terminal to the car renal car agency in Los Angeles, I used my iPhone to capture a 180° panorama of the scene around me. Almost 90% of the riders on the crowded shuttle bus were similarly engaged on their smart phones. Among them, one group of high school students were staring at their screen devices, as was the teacher/coach (?) accompanying them. I know that with my own university students, I witnessed the getting up and leaving the class, ostensibly to visit the toilet. One student explained to me, their phones were on vibration mode, and those walking out had just received "an urgent" message.

Thanks for sharing the remarkable and terrifying photo. I wish I had taken the photo.

I added it, however, to a group theme I created, "Mobile Phones."

    Warm regards,

    Bulent
