    Hi Nicolas
now this has to be one of the most unique looking subjects I've seen on TE in a while.

How big is this thing? Looks like it should be filled with beer :)

Gotta say, this is so unique! love it

    haha...great to see this.
I saw your shots of the Lighthouse and I just had to post mine as well :)

I like your close up view, this is something I didn't get.

Nice framing and border to go along with it.

    Hi Denis
oh yes, these are the boats you had shown us earlier right?
its good to see them from this far away vantage point as well, something a little bit different.

lucky for you the man is there to give scale and size comparison, i like that. Lovely greens and yellows mixed with blues.

See you around, Off to Chicago tomorrow

    Hi Fred
I'm sure you know about Noel on TE :)
he's posted many shots of many Irish Castles and Irish notable subjects...now we have another with your photo here.

looks like you had a fine March Day, the sun is out, no rain, can't complain about that.

nice to have the little bridge included in the scene, and we can get a great view of the Castle, still looks very strong.

excellent POV and lighting all around

    Hi Noel
I see you have an Australian Visitor in Dublin :)
thats cool! I'm sure you guys have enjoyed a drink or two already :)

easy to see why this sculpture is so popular with the locals, why wouldn't it be right? its quite elegant.

its the kind of subject that when you look at it, it makes you stop for a moment and just 'think'. Not many things in life do that.

and here you go shooting directly into the sun again lol
    have a good one!

    Hi MT
Pittsburgh is a city thats high on my list to visit. It doesn't get the attention as New York, LA, Chicago or Boston, but I think its well worth a visit.

We don't see many Pittsburgh shots here on TE, you seem to have most of the photos! I wonder why travellers don't come here.

I chose this one from your Pittsburgh series because i LOVE baseball, and this is a very unique POV

great addition to have the yellow Foul Pole.
love the downwards POV, worked out wonderfully.
    smart looking shot

its great to see the scale of the huge wall of stone on the left, pretty darn big isn't it!

nice to have some blue sky on the right for colour contrast aswell.

    Hi Lars
what can i say? its perfectly exposed, the moon is clearly seen and its not just a white over-bright ball, so thats very nice and attractive.

the towns' buildings are a bit shaded and give an excellent contrast to the pale blue sky above them.
    lots of charm here

    very interesting building facade.
I wonder if that glass is deliberately purple, or is that some sort of light refraction going on to change it from blue to purple?

Certainly different from most buildings i bet!

    Hi Daniel
as i've mentioned before in some of my critiques, in the OLD DAYS all across Europe, it was the LAW which stated Churches and Cathedrals had to be the tallest buildings in the city.

We can clearly see that Law into effect here, the domed Cathedral is EASILY the tallest.

Times and laws change. It would be great to see some sky scrapers :)

never seen this Pano of the city before, its great to see.
maybe in 20 years it will look very different.
    fine post

    Hi Malgo
for some reason, when i'm looking at the three photos together as a group it made me think about the old man...how does he feel about us as photographers doing this?

It made me feel actually a little sad for him. it makes me wonder if we are bothering him, especially when the photos are taken so close to his face.

I know I wouldn't feel comfortable having my photo taken like that.

but we as photographers do this alot, so it made me feel sympathy for the person, and I felt for this man on the street.

I wonder how he feels about Havana being taken over by tourists like you and me...i bet he would like to have a more quite city?

anyways, it has given me lots to think about.
the 3 photos together show how his personal space was invaded a little bit. Now I feel bad for when I have done this to other people on my trips!

Its interesting to see how it looks as a viewer, thanks for these shots, it was a learning experience for me.

    cheers

haha...this one puts a smile on my face right away.
at first i noticed the sculptures on the bench, and I like the leaning lady on the right.

    Hi Abmdsudi
this is one of those shots where its actually better to have the motion blur right? it shows the pace of the city life more effectively I think.

Living here in Canada, with a total population of approx 35 Million, its hard to even IMAGINE a CITY of 14 Million! Yikes! We have alot of wide open spaces in our country :)

your shot is also very colourful, thats a bonus as well.

ah yes, Strasbourg, this is a town that I think all TE members should visit at least once right? haha
