    Hi Angshuman,

I was just going through my old photo from Nepal. this image just take me back there. I know it is not really the same and I wish to one day have the chance to see this part of India. So many place to little time and money. This is fantastic with the clarity of the view and I can feel the thin air.

    Hi Ike
these reflection photos are so popular, thanks to TE i notice them every where i walk
    :)

I think its the white and blue colors that make this work so well too, and same with the wiggle/jiggle of the lines extending down.
fun shot no matter where its taken.

    Hi Didi
I would never have guessed this photo was taken in France! It has a more rustic type of feel to it i guess.
The light and details on the sails are very attractive.
It would be a fun experience this boat ride.
    interesting post.

    Hi Bev
    great pic.
stands out very well in the gallery too.
and of course it always helps to have a sweet looking Audi in the fg :)

Do you ever take those hop on hop off buses? I hate to admit it but i do. Its a smart way to get to know a city on your first day there.

I like the busy nature of your photo and the subject too, with the Games. Attractive photo for sure.

Did you meet up with John?

Very pleasant image. Beautiful landscape and the warm brown of the sail boat really contrast well against the neutral background. Lovely and natural color and good quality photo with good composition.

    Hi Lisa
well, i'm not even going to TRY to compete with Klaudio's critique, its well written and certainly memorable.

I have a question...how long are these scum politicians in power for? Here in Canada the Party can hold power for only 4 years, then there has to be another re-election, what about in Australia?

Lets hope the people can vote them OUT asap.

Whats so surprising is how big business and some media types follow the current regime. I guess money talks, how sad is that.

In my honest opinion the recent "WIN" you mentioned about keeping the Barrier Reef listed as a UNESCO sight was 100% planned by your government.

Its the CLASSIC Bait and Switch technique.

I seriously think the government KNEW they wouldn't win that case, but went after it to give the people a win in the battle to shut them up - sort of speak.

knowing full well, the governments first priority was that mining deal - that was their PRIMARY target from the get go.

So they were thinking lets give the people a small win, but we will win the war, classic bait and switch.

Perhaps they think it will give the people some satisfaction in that they succeeded in keeping the sight a Unesco sight, but the government didn't give a rats ass in the first place. They now have what they were after.

Lets hope mother nature finds a way to win out in the end. Mother nature almost always finds a way.

I appreciate and admire your passion, dedication and ethics, i really do.

    GO Mother Nature!!

    Hi Chris
Oh man, this is one every photographers to-shoot-list, or at least you would think it is, I know its on mine.

I know the Castle has been renovated time and time again to maintain it, but i wonder how it looked on its VERY FIRST day of completion many many years ago.

what a stunning scene with the lush greens all along the bottom and the hills behind.

    Lucky you :)

    Hi Malgo
so you had another TE meeting, thats incredible Malgo!
you seem to meet more people than anyone, and thats a compliment!!

love the top half of this photo, the banner looks great up there and it seems to actually widen the frame even though we know it doesn't. Its one of those optical illusions i guess.

super clear and sharp scene, really enjoy it.
    have a wonderful day

    Hi Ray
I know a couple of TE members who will really enjoy this one. Capitol State buildings seem to be a theme that is growing in popularity to photograph state by state.

I've never seen this one before, looks similar to the Empire State Building, but far less dominant and tall!

It'd be sweet to see some indoor shots as well.
thanks for this interesting post, probably a new one for TE in this location.

    Hi Indrashish
i often find it funny and amusing to see these vendors all alone - they give off a sense of lonliness, desperately hoping for customers.

and this setup works well to show how alone he really is.

hardly a person in sight :)

    Hi Rosemary
haha...its so fun to read the comments from you and John about our photos :)

and yes, John was 100% correct as my scene was taken about 930 pm.

clearly you got the better bright light, able to show off more vibrant colors in the village and the fg.

my shot is darker in the evening, so our shots are very different mood-wise. fun to compare the two though :)

love the colors and warmth here, and i'm surprised to see a vertical compo from this pov - wouldn't have expected that. great shot
