    Hello Aleksander,

An interesting daily life scene and at the same time a good presentation of the architecture of the square. The POV is great and the light and colour are fabulous, not to mention the good sharpness under adverse conditions.

    Regards, José.

    Hello Malgo,

Indeed very funny. And you did an attractive compo with them and the building behind, which looks very tiny. The grey of the weather, of the street and of the building seems to make the shoes stand out because of their colours.

    Hello Rob,

Interesting oblique POV, quite "risky" but very effective when well done like here. I like also the tight framing and the great sharpness, that allows us to appreciate the monumental architecture.

Interesting mix of old and new, neatly arranged in a nice compo. The sharpness and light/colours are admirable as well, contributing to make it very attractive,

    Hello Noel,

The sculpture is very interesting, for its shape, texture and colour; and it is wonderfully presented with your photo, where everything seems just to fit to render a good photo: colours (of autumn). DOF, POV, etc.

    Hello Rosemary,

It is a good title, as the girl really seems to be dreaming while enjoying the sunshine. Her expression is adorable and, the same way the sculptor captured that so well in bronze (?), you did the same in the photo. The angle of the sun and your compo are just perfect. It is a very pleasant image to look at.

    Hello Paul,

It may lack sun, but the light here is wonderful, as the view, with those charming old houses on the beach and the verdant mountains behind them, all covered with a menacing dark sky that makes a nice contrast with the light blue sea.

A very charming view of that yellow house, with its colour matching the tones of sunset, in a narrow and steep street. The POV and the angle of the sun are just perfect. It is a simple and beautiful image.

    Hello Bev,

By looking at this great photo I wouldn't remember that the weather and light could have been adverse. I have never been to that place, but I recognised it as soon as I saw it because I know it from some posts of feather, who put them in the gallery named Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

You chose a good POV and tamed well the light. The reflection on the wet sand below gives a special touch.

    Regards, José.

Bonne présentation de cette église originale, toute blanche au milieu du vert intense si caractéristique de Goa. Le cadrage est parfait, comme la lumiére, couleurs et netteté.

    Hello Jean,

You are right about being amazing seeing houses and streets in such a places which look more adequate to eagles, goats and climbing fans than to build anything, much less houses. But we photographers can only be thankful because that render us some great photos like this, where you could cope relatively well with a very adverse light situation.

    Regards, José.

    Hello Will,

It is a valuable "historic" image. I didn't visit Lagos in the last 15 years or so, but it certainly looked much different. Although it is not the ultimate perfection technically wise (sharpness and colours), it would be an acceptable image if it was recent and it is an amazing image for its age; I wish my photos half that age were in so good shape!

    TFS, regards, José.

    Hello Tue,

One of the fascinating things in images of water reflections is that there isn't one equal to the other, but often there can be much alike one another. Nothing of that happens here; it is really original. However, more important than that, it is very beautiful, like a mix of cubist and impressionist painting.

That place looks like a photographers dream to shoot, exploring the possibilities of compo and the exploitation of the light and colours of the rocks. I see only one "flaw" here: the image is so high that I can't see it completely directly in my browser.

Incredible sunset... The silhouettes of the boats let us imagine in what part of the world it may be, the lonely human figure enhances a certain nostalgic mood and the colours are simply amazing, with that not so often seen mix of purple and orange.
