    Hi Murat,

How pleasant looks Orlando! Nice buildings but first of all excellent colours in the evening. Well, the worst thing that can happen is to forget about charging batteries or when memory card was left in notebook. Wrrr, it happens sometimes to me. Luckily there are cell phones.

cześć Ryszard, Schronisko na Stogu Izerskim! Fajna kompozycja z tymi kamiennymi schodami. Piekne schronisko z czarnego drewna. Jak to kiedys chodziłam z niewygodnym ciężkim plecakiem wiele kilometrów. Juz teraz nie daje rady, niestety. Swietne zdjecie i dla mnie takie miłe wspomnienia. Dzieki. Czekam na dalsze zdjecia z Gor Izerskich.

    Dear John,

An amazingly bucolic scene with the sheep feasting on the lush green grass. I understand the sheep keep the grass short and close to ground, and that cows cannot graze on it afterwards. That was one of the disagreements of cattle and sheep growers in the old West.

Two weeks ago with guests visiting us from Greece we visited George Washington's birthplace, about 50-60 km from our home. The historic house is maintained as a working farm just as the first President knew it. It is remarkable how the scene in your photograph resembles the farm with its sheep.

Warmest regards, dear John, have a good Sunday,

    Hello Daniel,

The 1 sec shutter speed, coupled with a microscopic f/22 aperture has converted the rushing waters into gaseous fluid, while accentuating overall sharpness. It's an interesting idea. We must have been in the land of Fire and Ice at the same time.

    Ciao Luciano,

What a spectacular courtyard in the old palazzo. You have been treating us all to the amazing sites of Havana, and what a pleasure it has been. In this photo the composition is perfect, as are the resolution, colors and textures. The man strolling across the courtyard is wearing a New York Yankees cap, and it might be as old as some of the automobiles of the city.

    Witaj Maciej,

Now this is majestic! You had spectacular light, and composed the scene perfectly — The reflections in the pond of just a few of the columns, the brilliant green foliage in the back, the contrast of light and dark — everything collaborating to make this perfect photo of the palace.

Hi Daniel. Exceptional composition with its intriguing foreground. Clever combination of plan and actual forum. Excellent DOF and clarity, plus natural colours and light which capture the earthy tones. Interesting connection with your history. Hello Maria,

This is fabulous! It's an interior I haven't seen in years. and better than I remember. When I was at Oxford, I remember visiting the Roman Baths with friends from the United States. The guide was the Director of the Roman Baths, and just as he was showing us the lead plumbing originally left there by the Romans, he mentioned that it was not known how the water was heated. I noticed there were flies walking around, unable to fly. I took him aside, and mentioned to him that sometimes where there is lead, there is also the possibility of uranium (uranium decays into lead). "This could be a natural nuclear reactor," I said. He turned red, and admitted they did know how the water was heated. There was nuclear radiation, although quite low level.

Wearing my artist's hat, rather than a physicist's, I made a sketch of the square in front of Bath Abbey. If you get a chance, take a look at the third photo down in the left column, Bath Abbey.

Warm regards, Maria, a very beautiful photo. Have a good Sunday,

    Hello Paul,

Indeed, the mission of Trekearth is "...to learn about the world through photography," and you've done a very good job here. I must confess I have not posted photos of interiors of Japanese homes and shops, and I must rectify that omission also. This is a lovely shot, showing a room in the foreground, and allowing a view of the other rooms and a staircase in the background. Of course, the floor covering is comprised of mats with different textures. I remember a Toshiba Receiver I had purchased three decades ago. In the instructions, translated from the Japanese to English, it said clearly, "Take care not to drop on mat."

    Warm regards,

    Bonsoir Christian,

You've chosen the perfect spot to show the narrow entry way into the harbor, with the two massive cylindrical towers serving as the gateway. The light is ideal, allowing you to capture colors in high fidelity, as well as the depth of field allowing the foreground and the background to appear sharp. The clouds highlighting the blue sky provide the drama of "a floating French flag."
