    Hi Abmdsudi
I see you shot this one at 180mm focal length, good idea I suppose, as you don't want to get in her face and get her mad :)

the choice of cropping is effective too, it immediately does away with any annoying subject off to the sides or around her.
we can just sit here and enjoy the face as is.

and you're right, she does appear to be in a very focused thought.

well captured as usual my friend
    cheers

    Hi Luis
great piece of historic architecture here!
How does France and Germany keep coming up with all these wonderful homes!

even the little house on the far left tucked away in the corner is cute and charming...everything is here.

I think they do a fine job in keeping the buildings restored.

excellent post, a place i've never heard of before.
    attractive colors and light.
    enjoy your day

    Hi Nicolas
you have 7 large triangles here that move across the frame, making the scene appear larger, and it effectively takes up all the space inside the frame.

excellent lighting conditions and overall exposure too.
    especially on the window shutters.
love the brown hue and tone to the entire scene.
    enjoy your day

a photo with great looking intersecting diagonal lines.
the sloping tree line cuts into the grey sky quite nicely.

and all those clouds give off a sweet atmospheric mood.

looks like there could big mosquitos here! haha

    Hi Robert
I've never been to Maine, but living and growing up in Newfoundland half of my life I would imagine its quite similar.

as with Newfoundland, there's lots of fog!
and despite the fog the rocks in the fg are very clear and well defined.

love the rustic east coast motif that shines through on this one.

    Hi Angel
    such fine architectural delights!
lots of small finer details that catch my eye.

i have to wonder though, why do all the windows have bars on them? is it not safe here? alot of vandalism here?

at least the bared window on the left has some decorative motif to it to make it more attractive.

love the arch and the wooden doors.
    great scene in warm light

    Hi Ike
another interesting place to examine from Israel.
Can easily say i've never seen or heard of this place before.

looking at it now, i wonder is it a popular beach? there does seem to be some beachy sand over there near the fort.
and there are plenty of cars parked around, so are people walking along the beach front?

its amazing to think that fort was built so many hundreds of years ago, and pieces of it are still standing.

lots to examine and investigate with this one.

    Hi Carlo
too bad the leaves are in the fg, but I can still see past and through them, so thats ok.

this abandoned building doesn't seem to have a way inside!
    thats a shame :)

and it looks like the weeds and trees have totally taken over, which of course is why we see them in the fg.
fun shot, really like it. and you have some very warm bright light too.

    Hi Denis
I enjoy all of your boat/marina photos - in fact i think you have the best collection of boats on TE!!!

its funny to see that every boat is white except for 1 blue and 1 yellow :)

having the boats spread out like this gives a great sense of depth to the scene.
lovely exposure and compo as always.

    Gold anyone? Gold?

wow thats alot of yellow Gold!
Personally i'm not a fan of such overt loud statements like this, but its just a personal choice I suppose.

as for the photo itself, it works well because the skyline has that overcast Blue/Grey color which gives the perfect contrasting bg.

interesting cut and crop, something different that worked out well.

    Hi Ann
haha, another fine photo from Norway.
I love how the sky looks so grey and bleak, but yet the little town below still has lots of illumination.
the homes are placed in a zig zag type of configuration which is kinda nice too, not being uniform or placed all in a straight line.

and you even have a small little lighthouse perched up in the bg :)

I bet you had an awesome time in Norway.

    Hi Rob
good idea to get down low to near water level, i think it makes the water look that much more powerful. In fact it looks like there's a wave coming at you. I get the feeling the water is quite deep!

The Rogers Dome, or Sky Dome you see on the left, the white building has become a Toronto Eye-Sore.

When "sky dome" was built in the early-mid 1990's it was heralded as an architectural dream!

Now, many years later the same building is hated by everyone. It may be only 20-25 years old, but its more like 50-60 years old in real-time when compared to similar other sports arena's in North America.

When it was built, INDOOR Sports stadiums were common. But that all changed about 10 years ago. Now Football and Baseball are played in Open-Air Stadiums, so this one in Toronto is disliked by players and fans and media.

Oh how times change so quickly!

great shot overlooking Toronto, really enjoyed viewing it.
    cheers
