    Hello Agnes,
The long wooden walkway gives good depth to the picture.
Beautiful presentation of this castle that is at the same time a difficult to take stronghold.
Good to have included people on the walkway and even better with the duck that provides a funny image.
    Best regards, Paul

    Hi Bernie
Nice and unique view of the city, it is good to see it looking so well after all it's been through. The style of the buildings and the color make this feel almost like an image from the 1960's, which is very cool.m

    Hi Indrasish
Great moment, this lady is frozen at the perfect time to catch the water falling, and the people to the left smiling add anoth nice touch to the photo too. Love the blue bucket compared to the red dress. Very good catch.

    Hi Mesut
Great shot, it only for the great daily life image of the fishermen, but also because the angle you chose makes the nets look like the prow of an old war ship. Great idea to fill the foreground with the bright yellow buoys too, making an inviting entrance to the view.
    Have a great weekend

    Hi Jean,
The buildings in this are beautiful, stacked on top of each other and making such an interesting architectural view. The triangle of deep blue sea is absolutely perfectly positioned to add such an element of interest and a great geometrical touch. This is a really brilliantly put together image, thanks for sharing.
    Cheers

Hello Klaudio - What an original choice of destination and I can see from this upload that we are in for a treat seeing shots taken in a country that few of us will ever see with our own eyes. I love your description of the geology here... so poetic and judging from the layers we see in the hillsides perfect. I love the fact that the houses echo the surrounding landscape in colour.

    Fascinating!

    Welcome back

    Hi Malgo,
This is a perfect image for black and white, the little boat looks a little sad and lost there, sitting at an angle and the mono effect emphasizes this well. The rickety boards of the pier lead Rory nicely into the scene and also enhance the sense of decay and abaondmenf. Very moody and dramatic scene.
    Cheers

    Hi Brian,
I my mind I hear a great classical orchestra ting these ships out as they sail towards their destiny, a war perhaps in the distance. But this is a thought that is set in an older time and not one that has a backdrop of the fine modern city, so your shot creates a beautiful contact of two times. The soft light is once again perfect on this shot, giving a great sense of timelessness.
    Cheers

    Hi Craig,
The wide angle on this has managed to soak up so much of the atmosphere and color of this lovely place, and it ties in perfectly with your note about the charms of he location. As I look through the shot from the fisherman to the pastel colors of the houses, to the fine mighty castle in the distance and the beautiful feathered sky, I realise just how much there is to look at here! A feast for the eyeballs. It looks Ike the clouds are emanating from the castle, is there perhaps a mad scientist up there controlling the weather? Haha.
    Cheers

A nice historic photo, one of the side benefits of this hobby is that we can compare how places change over time, the pictures I saw of Dubai twenty years ago compared to today are unbelievable. This is a great historic record, and the colors are beautiful

    Hi Burak,
I really like this off centre composition, it is a nice take on a classic photo. Especially so in that it allows the statue on the right into the frame too. The tower creates a stunning silhouette against this fine active sky which is so full of activity and with beautiful colors. Very nicely done. Cheers

It seems many do not like pigeons, but I do, hey have such beautiful colors on their plumage when seen up close. This is a great scene, as I don't think I ever saw them asleep before, not this many anyway. It looks like hey are all getting ready to watch a play. Unusal sight, great shot.

    Hello Gert,

There must have been a careful balance between recording interesting scenes and not offending the locals by your overzealous photography.
I just cannot imagine lying down on a table to drink my tea! Isn't it strange how customs, so natural, so familiar to one group, are so very novel, so unfamiliar to another!!
Was it difficult to drink tea in a cup without a handle?
Did the cup get hot or was the liquid cooler than we drink it, today?
This man is very aware of your presence.

    Thank you for sharing this,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Jean,

It's a beautiful location at any time of the year and, certainly, those autumn colours add to this photograph.
The lovely details of the natural stone building, with its 'eye' window, seem to be looking in awe at the beauty around!
I have seen dippers and kingfishers, here!

    Have a lovely w/e,

    Hey Lisa
Great to e you post, although the content of your note is both sad and heartening at the me time. Heartening to hear of a great man such as Gough Witlhlam, one who can and does change the world for the better. Sad of cour to hear of his passing, the world has lost a great man.
Your note is beautifull written and is the perfect company for this photo. As rosemary says above, the child is so innocent, her smile beautiful and that really does give more power to the banners around her, it shows us EXACTLY what they mean as we look at h innocent face and think of this, behind bars. It's a powerful and really icely considered black and white image, which carries a note of such importance that I imagine Prme Minister Whitlam would be so proud that this is posted in his honour. This picture and note are timeless.
Cheers from the land of the leprechaun.

This youngster doesn't cause fear and terror like some of his forebears, in fact he's quite a sweetie! He has the most amazing blue eyes, assessing you and your camera!
