Maybe one day...
For the last few months, I have been preoccupied with sawah padi. While I have the sawah padi all around me, the weather wasn't. It has been just as wet as the padi field the rain has been pouring into. Looking very forward to the summer days when the padi fields of Sabah, is as warm, rich and bright as your work here.

One word; Surreal.
You have all the colors and setting of making this into an unusual and very interesting wedding photography. The wedding costumes or the color theme really and the yellowish green young padi field.
You have the elements of making an impression here Jusni. I just loved very much the colors and tone of the light, of this very day you helped Sharina. I'm wondering what else you have of this wedding couple.
Selamat Berpuasa dan Maaf Zahir Bathin, Jusni dan Sharina.

I wonder Cale, what is she thinking. What is in her mind right now. There is a dark rigidness in her expression and a determined demeanor. Mesmerizing colors but contrasting expression.
I liked the idea of the shallow DOF, rendering her facial more attention. Her strongest feature is her eyes. Also her hardest.

The narrow alley in twilight but the medicine man in the limelight. Opportune shot especially with him, raising his right palm. This photo is really begging for a featured length story Cal. Then again, most of your street scenes are anyway.

Given the right time and place, even someone doing something mundane can look good and graphical. He must be feeling out at peace by the look of it. Quiet water with late afternoon hue and the slight vignetting make a good impression of a simple chore.

While just about everything else in your work here is of the silky effect you'd mentioned, its disheartening to see the over exposed part of the sky. It would have done your work better if you hadn't not include it. Crop off the part where the overexposed is and even though the photo has less to see but its surreality is more obvious. Especially the quality of the sea and the pattern on it.

I always like simplicity. Simplicity is like, the photographer has found the angle which expresses the scene, in the least amount of visual information with the most amount of detail and colors. What I see here is houses by the beach which is lined by coconut trees. A simple life by the beach.

Sitting down here
With the evening stillness caressing my face
And the sound of the night growing in my ears
realizing that time moves and never last
But...only for the moment rather
When everything stand still and blue
And feeling it is you mother
my first true love

Excuse me for being a while posting critiques and comments here. My other work is taking over my photo works.
Ramdan told me about Jusni's mum. Al Fatihah. And while we all here would wonder about Jusni's mum, we know Jusni would miss her.
Deciding to shot this in portrait is fitting Foozi. And the rockface is making the soles of my feet, feeling kinda slippery and funny :) Your detail is good too. Defining and color is good. And making us wishing we have a small mountain like this nearby to climb and explore. The problem with having the tallest mountain in SEA is that, we don't have anything much smaller and nearer to rockclimb but not that we are ungrateful :)
Hoping to post better photos for the 22nd Climbathon next week. The climbathon is this weekend.
