Ah, Animesh, even before I saw anything on the page, this shot cried out to be opened, and the result again is awe... your monsoon shots with the overpowering sense of humidity, vapour, water, is tremendous... this also, with all the grain that the rain and the Summicron have produced together. Full of atmosphere.

Haha, Kev, I didn't know that you'd meet Jeremy Irons in an Istanbul barber, but you can never tell. Besides the celebrity factor, the shot still has plenty to offer ;-)
such as the sense of claustrophobia, converging lines and incredible busy-ness of this business... superb colour values, my friend, one that I admire greatly. You are one of the greatest bw artist here on TE, your whites are never blown out, the subtlety is mesmerizing. Lovely work, and a very nice surprise after the thumbnail view, really. This has to be seen big.

FANTASTIC shot, Caleb, you truly blow me away with these Tibetan and Nepalese works, worthy of a large exhibition! Superb moment, delightful and whimsical, and the frontal approch is perfect.
They are praying a lot there, even now the man on the right is rotating the prayer wheel while she dozes off. Superb work.

Haha, hello Mike, nostalgic, aren't you? ;-))
A great shot, very nice colour range and moment caught. Wonder where their gaze is directed, they seem to be bogged down by something to the right. Great moment, nice to see you post again. HOw's life?

Yes, Isabela, and she is right... can you possibly imagine her elsewhere? I cannot... that is the place she was born and will die, hopefully. And what a lovely place. I love these villages, and would like to visit them again... I can smell the air here, it is really special... wonderful atmosphere, nice bw work!

This makes me shiver with delight, Anellise! Here in another land of snow, i have never ever managed to come up with such a Turneresque image of land and sky in the winter... simply amazing... while I am not much of a friend of winter, this is a shot that makes me reconsider my aversion, really! Amazing work.

A catastrophe, and for a country that is obviously has less than the one struck with Katrina a few years ago... I also work for a humanitarian org. that sends relief...
Just looking at her face is testament to the spirit of the place, the genius loci, the warmth and beauty that they possess, Hugh... she is so beautiful, her eyes mingled with a hint of sadness, depth, yearning. Excellent portrait and a very thoughtful idea to put the help lines in your note.
