You're right: it is sad that such places are no longer inhabited. And it makes me wonder why so many of us are drawn to photographing the abandoned, ruined, neglected, wrecked. There is a certain poignancy and elegaic quality inherent in such imagery I suppose. BTW, your shot is beautifully framed!

The lovely rustic wall acts as a strong complementing element to the intriguing olde worlde fountains coupled by vividness of the buildings. I love the mass of textures registered as well as the fig fits nicely and clinches the shot. It suits the mono version really fine. Wonderful humble rural image worthy the effort. Congrats and TFS

a very charming composition with fine balance and perspective that exalt the character of the site and invite us to explore it. A great idea to frame the chapel with the arch and the vegetation, creating a mysterious and enticing prelude to the main theme, you found the perfect distance. The light brings out the right parts of the composition and the clouds complete the frame in an effective and dramatic way. I also love the richness and naturalness of textures and colours. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
