Wonderful repetition of the red and pick flowers and their window-boxes with good lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective added by the cobblestone avenue. The person adds scale and animates the scene. Good diffused light and nice graphic patterns in the walls. Have a nice week!

I like the zigzagging layering here of fg shadow, angled chair, more shadows, another angled chair in the opposite direction, one of no doubt many tombs, some more trees and then the Eiffel Tower off in the distance. Good sharpness and attractive pastel colours. Bon semaine!

I visited Black Dragon Pool years ago and was not disappointed, except it began to rain. I like the distant bridge and the 3 distinctively Chinese style buildings in the bg. Good sharpness and nice rippled reflections in the fg water. The protruding rocks in the fg add depth and help frame the bg. Tfs!

The red parts of the 3 stupas contrast well against the blue sky. Good sharpness and well framed and composed with the 5 fg structures framing the bg hilltop village. Also a striking contrast between the crumbling weathered stupas at left and the newer more well cared for ones at right. Tfs!

Nice repetition of the boats in the harbour and good sharpness and repetition of patterns colors and shapes. The vineyards clinging to the hillside and the tightly clustered houses and buildings along the foreshore and back up the range remind me a little of the Amalfi Coast near Naples. I did do through Cinque Terre by train but only stopped briefly. Have a nice week ahead!
Père Lachaise Cemetery by snunney (76350)

Good sharpness and very ornate headstones in this attractive and well kept cemetery. I used to live near the Toowong cemetery in Brisbane and found it quite ugly and a waste of prime real estate in what is now inner city but was on the outskirts in the 19th century. The curving flagstone road adds good lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective. Excellent textural details and shadow play. Tfs!

Punchy light contrast and perfect density levels with both shadows and highlights illustrated to their optimum display. Good color saturation too and the yellow red castle walls (although it looks more like a large manor or estate) contrast well against the blue sky. Tfs!

A colorful Spring symphony of yellow and green. I like the repetition of the green vertical poplar trees. Good sharpness with excellent color and saturation. The dark shadowed bg highlights the sunlit fg and accentuates the graphic elements. Bon semaine!

Although Istanbul does not have the harsh winters of Erzurum or even Ankara, it is still good to see signs of new life in Spring as depicted here. Good color, sharpness and saturation. Superb backlighting and nice repetition of the colorful fg flowers. Have a great week!

I almost ended up teaching English in Tiblisi but opted for China instead. It certainly looks a lot less green than the Armenian border. The caves cut into the rocky slope are amazing. A goof downward pov with excellent sharpness and realistic color. The red tile roofs contrast well against the blue hues. Tfs!
