rich and poor by arturian (1429)

Hello, the high speed shot gives this image quite a strange feeling, as if people were really standing still. Combined to the black and white, the effect is interesting. The problem I see is that the woman (who justifies your title) is not visible enough, you don't notice her at first. Maybe you could try an effect, such as keeping her in color ? So I find your photo very interesting graphically, but I find it does not really convey the "rich and poor" message.

This is a very nice view, very dynamic, well balanced. The wide field of view combined with the good foreground on the left, and the nice sky, make a good photo to my eye. Maybe you could give more importance to the main subject, and get better proportions, by cropping a bit of the sky. However I am biased because I am so used to the 3x2 instead of 4x3...

Hello, I agree with Darigaaz, it is a good idea to have kept the sky like this, but now all the rest is somewhat underexposed, and looks a bit flat. The histogram is V shaped. I tried a very strong workshop, the effect is really overdone, but this way you'll get the idea. I think it would be worth trying it.- [workshop] [compare]

Ooooh yes ! I dig graphic compositions ! I love it, and I love the high contrast B/W conversion you did. The only thing is that maybe I would have prefered if it was exactly centered (I mean, giving some more space on the left, so that "CAUTION" would be exactly centered). As vhs said, you can feel the danger, but you don't know what it could be...

Hello, your composition is very good, the rule of thirds is there (intentional or not, but it works !) I simply regret that the top of the "mast" is slightly cropped. The silhouette effect is very good here. What I appreciate is that the warm colors inspire me calm and serenity, whereas at the same time the small waves add a dynamic feeling. Well done !

Hello, I love graphical shots, and this one is amazing. Very nice point of view, large field of view. These reflections are perfect, some will say you were lucky, I would rather think you have an excellent eye. The foreground with these square stones add dynamic to your image, it breaks the overall vertical "stretch" with a clear horizontal line. Well, well done. And also, I appreciate the "non digital" feeling there is in this image. I don't know if this is due to the colors, or the "texture" of the scan, but I love it.

Hello, the atmosphere of your shot is excellent ! The exposure is good to my eye, but slightly lacks contrast in my opinion. I posted a quick'n'dirty workshop to show you what I mean. (contrast masking + large radius USM). Concerning sharpness, the more you downsize an image, the more you must sharpen it afterwards, otherwise it looks soft. But in this case, I don't find it lacks sharpness... I tried to add some USM but then it quickly looks oversharpened. One thing to know: some photos often seem to be soft because they lack contrast (and not sharpness). - [workshop] [compare]

Hello, this portrait is really nice ! The sun makes beautiful reflections, the hair between the eyes add dynamics, and of course, the eyes of this girl are amazing, as well as the way she looks at you ! I also appreciate the slight "grain" or "texture" that your photo has. As rewshearer said, the focus is on the hair rather than on the eyes, but it is an excellent portrait anyway !
